But even emergency vehicles must obey traffic laws. The operator may proceed through red lights, against the flow of traffic etc. IF it is safe to do so. They cannot barrel through an intersection with reckless abandon for the safety and welfare of other road users.

Often when you see them get in to accidents it's because they dart out on to a high speed road from behind obscurity. Unless the drivers can see the future or they are driving an F1 car, there is no way to stop in time.
Theyre driving at the maximum possible speed under a lot of pressure to potential life and death situations in a vehicle which might have tons of swapping water on board. People make mistakes everywhere no matter how important the job is.

1:16 YES he will make it...the clearance is clearly marked 13'10" a full cube trailer is 13'6" and only requires the sign to read 13'7". Ive taken a tractor trailer into a garage with a 13'5" clearance by dropping the air bags on the drives and tandems. If you do get wedged (if you go slow enough its nothing more than a scratch on the trailer) you can let some air of of the tires to get back out without doing any damage. Hes also got 4" to play with, its looks closer than it is at that distance. Still smart he took it slow cause those signs arent always accurate over time.

A person needs at least 100 to be moderately functional and 115 or over to start seeing things clearly and have any grain of common sense (A main character). Book smarts don’t count. There are tons of book smart people with zero common sense aka lack of critical thinking. Once people start hitting iq’s into the 90’s or less, they start becoming autopilot types and zone out too easily (With maybe a few exceptions). Before people start flaming me, iq is raw intelligence, not the ability to store facts which most people can already do. Hope this helps.

Random Cool....Yeah, I would be shocked if anyone survived in the car. These kinds of videos teach us to expect the unexpected.... but (bleep) still happens. In so many of these clips it seems people are headed straight for each other and no one seems to be breaking. The motor cycle and passenger didn't need to go down the slope... if the driver had just laid the bike down.

Its not pleasant to watch, but that's the point. To realise the reality of how horrific things can go, if you're not paying attention, speeding etc and yes some situations are entirely out of your control. There is a channel I watch on UA-cam that shows fatal accidents. They're a very tough watch, but puts things into perspective. The person running the channel says the videos usually get flagged and removed.
