HI,recently I bought a midi/USB cable of Roland UM One MK II which is ideal for connecting the microKorg to my laptop and creating my own stuff on the editor.I also bought Waves Electric 200 piano and I'm using the microKorg as a MIDI controller to play that plugin.Amazing sounds.Do you know how I can upload the MS2000 patches into my microKorg?
These patches are 100% compatible with Korg's MS 2000. You can also use the Microkorg sound editor to shoot them into the MS 2000! Here's a video demo:
ua-cam.com/video/xzZnxNw4ymk/v-deo.html
I'm weighing my options between buying a microkorg or a ms2000 and I'm leaning towards the mk because it seems a little more user friendly as far as uploading patches. Judging by youtube videos (haha) it appears that the mk offers the potential for a wider range of sounds but perhaps less hands on versatility as far as crafting/sculpting sounds.(not hearing many rhodes or farfisa sounds etc, coming out of the ms2000) Any thoughts?
The Microkorg and the MS2000 are exactly the same synth, with the exception of the sequencer on the ms2000. It's the same audio engine.Get an ms2000, the amount of controls on the panel make it much easier to program.
interested in the microkorg pactches
2:39 HEY WHY'D YOU FLIP ME OFF
thanks a lot, i'm going to have a go on my micro,
thank you for listening to my patches!!!
Really nice patches!

Very nice playing
thank you!!
I need always practice, because of the 4 voices 😊
Were nice video!
awesome i want to buy a Micro Korg
É um instrumento muito interessante, para quem gosta de ser criativo, tem e deixa os timbres muito interessantes.
Thank you .) Sound good
thank you, roman!
I like music and interesting sintesizer.)
@@KrasavkinRomanE , check my other videos, played some interesting sounds there, too!
The free program Midi ox works great to transfer the patches.I put them on my Microkorg s .Easy peasey.
and the good thing is you can now use it to transfer patches to any keyboard, since it uses standard sysex protocol.
Soul melody.)
The feeling of the coming Christmas.?)
👍 Superbe!!!
thank you!!!
Oh man you had me with No Quarter, I’m probably going to buy it ! I’m looking into playing this kind of stuff but I don’t know if the MicroKorg S is more worth buying with that double amount of presets, which would you recommend me to get ?
Just sent an email. Love these!!
Never heard back some 8 months ago but please let me know
Cant stop listening to this / watching....! Love it. What is the second song? Sounds so familiar
Thanks! It's almost all impro, but the chords of the second piece are probably reminding you of supertramp's "goodbye stranger".
Soul.
Your patches are amazing! Please teach us. I can’t buy the sounds online. I’m a pro from Nashville TN. And these sounds are on point.
thank you very much for your compliments!
Would you consider posting the computer ‘screen shot’ for these. Similar to what you did for your other video that had the carnival sound?
0:55 Love that "John Carpenter" sounds
can you give me a link to what you are referring to? I was thinking of led zeppelin's No Quarter when i made this sound.

Hi, very nice! What is the name of the song at 2:53? Danke
Could you tell me what the settings are for the 50’s tv organ and the 60’s one as well? Thank you!!
My patches are very cheap and you can buy them directly from me. You can send me an email at soundminimarket@yahoo.com
the 60's pale organ reminds me of a familiar song
I have a soft spot for psychedelic rock.....
Amazing! How do you make these sounds?
Any1 have a list of organ, e guitar, and jazz band sounds?
these sound amazing!! where can I get the patch settings?
read video description.
1st one is Deep purple' burn guitar riff
Hi man..... Cool sounds.... How do u run them thru your microK, it is on MIDI via computer or USB straight from the bank? Sorry bothering with that question but i was just lately thinking in get a microK , but i got no computer, so i was wondering about the expanding soundbank issues on Korg M-K.....
You´re not bothering, I´m glad to answer your questions.
These are sounds that I have programmed DIRECTLY ON the Mk, so the sound is coming directly from the Mk, not from a computer. If you look carefully at the video, there´s no midi cable connected, only audio out for recording.
A computer and a midi interface are needed only to install third party sound libraries (i.e. new sounds) on the keyboard, or to store your own sound library. There are no issues in transferring sounds if you have a good midi interface and your computer is not messed up (like... messed up drivers that don´t recognize the interface).
How can i make this sound? Let me know how you did
Hi these patches sounds really good !!
I sent you an email !
This is awesome! What's the last song (60's pale organ)? It sounds very familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
Thanks! "A Whiter Shade Of Pale".....
I'm trying to find a hammond b3 sound on my korg r3 with vocoder
this is a Microkorg, not an R3.
I was wondering if you have the patch in written form so I can adjust it manually? Is it for sale and where?
hi Sean sounds great. Do your patches work on the korg microkorg s
thank you!! I couldn't test them personally, but 99% they should since it's the same audio engine, the only thing that has been expanded in the Mk-S is memory.
Hello Sean Neenan!!! great sounds!!! Greetings from mexico, could you sell me the settings of the patches in text mode? This is because I have had problems with my computer and with my midi interface, please please please Thanks!!!
Sorry man, I simply don´t have them in text and writing down all the settings manually is a long and tedious work.
You should ask some fellow musician, a recording studio or simply a music school to do the transfer for you, one of the great things about the MK is that it´s portable.
How do you get a touch sensitive velocity with the microkorg?
check my video on the modulation matrix. you can assign velocity to lots of parameters.
Any chance you could make something similar to the 50s tv organ on the Reface CS? I'd pay for that
Sorry, I dont't own a Reface CS
Hi man really great job, sorry i don't know nothing about synth, infact I don't even know what a patch is, and I wanted to ask you a question, did you make these sounds only with the original microkorg settings or did you use any software? Thanks
Thank you! I programmed them directly on the Microkorg. I used the software editor / librarian only to export them into a file that can be transferred to other Microkorgs.
A patch is simply the program that contains all the parameters of a specific sound. I think the name 'patch' comes from the old synthesizers; before digital memory, the parameters were drawn on a sheet of paper, which was then placed over the front panel so that the knobs could be turned back to the positions drawn on the paper.
Sean Neenan thanks!
Hello Sean,
This is by far the most compelling microkorg patches! I want to buy them, and I have emailed you, please do check the email.
I'm wondering if there's a site where I can buy them, but as I checked the other comments, I'm guessing email is the only way.
I noticed that your last reply regarding purchasing the patches was a year ago, I really hope that this is still for sale because they are one of the main reasons I bought the microkorg :D
I'm sorry you have to answer so many of these questions, but what is that dreamy tune you play for the Soft EP example? (at least I didn't ask you about the pale organ again :D)
don't worry, receiving so many comments is actually a great satisfaction. the dreamy tune is just an impro on some very simple harmonic passages.
C maj7 / F Maj7 / Eb maj7 / Dm75b / G7
Can these same patches be applied to the Korg Minilogue polyphonic?
I´m sure they cannot be trasnferred, as the two are totally different synths. You could use an editor to see how mine were programmed (oscillators, filters, modulators...) and create them from scratch on your synth.
I would really like to know how llng did it take you to do all 64 patches??
A lot of time!! But I enjoyed every moment of it! :D
Very nice. When ordering, do you send a list of parameters or back-up files for downloading into Microkorg?
Thanks! It´s either a Microkorg SoundEditor file for Mac, or an SYSEX file for PC.
... or both, if you need both! :D
Amazing patches... great job!! Is it still possible to purchase them? Do i need a computer to install them on the Microkorg? Thank you!
Thank you!
Yes, I still sell these. You need a computer and a midi interface to transfer them to your keyboard.
@@seanneenan138 Hey Sean, can you send a purchase link?!
how would you get the patches into the synth tho
it´s a miracle, jesus!
Do you use a sustain pedal
How can I download these patches? Do I need to buy an online sound patch kit?
You can buy the patches directly from me, just send me an email at:
soundminimarket@yahoo.com
Watch my other videos to hear more patches from my sound bank.
Rock Piano was off the hook. Possible to purchase only the Rock Piano Patch?
Cheers
Sorry man, I only sell the whole bank... at 10 euros it´s really cheap.
Will these patches work with the microkorg S ?
Yes, the Microkorg S has the same audio engine as the original Microkorg. The only difference is the S has more memory to store patches and the internal speakers. The patches are also fully compatible with all MS 2000 models, but not compatible with the Microkorg XL, which is a totally different synth.
Sent an email to but have not heard back. Is the blue lake 64 collection still for sale?
Sorry, for answering so late, I hope you're enjoying the patches!
cool but why don't u have a link to them if you're selling them?
hi, if you're interested in buying, you can send me an email at soundminimarket@yahoo.com.

A Whiter Shade of Pale !
It will work on the Microkorg XL+ ?
hi! no, the XL and XL+ have a totally different sound engine.
is there away to buy only two of the patches?
Sorry man, I only sell the whole bank.
Amazing. How much you selling the patches for?
thank you! I don't want to sound like praising my own work, but they're really great fun to play.
10 euro for a set with 64 patches. check my other videos to hear more of the soundbank.
soundminimarket@yahoo.com
i have a strange feeling with this synth, it sounds better than many others way more expensive, but at the same time, the design dosn't make justice to it's capabilities, great sounds!!!
Thank you! It took me a really long time to find out how to squeeze every possible modulation out from this Synth's engine.
There's more videos with Microkorg sounds on my channel, also I sell a 64 patches soundbank.
Pity for the 4 voices polyphony limitation.
