Great video Emmanuel! I’ve recently had a comment on my own channel asking for UK salaries for chemical engineering, so I have directed them here- I think there is a lot of demand for that one to be next! Really looking forward to this series 👍
Regarding physical sciences, I actually met 2 people who studied Chemistry at undergrad and are currently doing a Chemical Engineering PhD due to the research topics (soaps and materials)
Nice to hear that! Where are you from? .... and yes, ChemE Ph D is quite common for researchers, not only from ChemE backgrounds but other type of sciences/engineerings (STEM)
@@ChemicalEngineeringGuy I’m from the UK. Salaries here are of course higher than the average salary upon graduation. I’m of the belief certain sectors underpay Chemical Engineers in this country, but I may be wrong. I hope you do a video on salaries in the UK next!
Why some people are actually regretting to pursue this major ?They claim with I'd better chosen Computer Science or something related and get a better paid job with a 2x salary as graduated or with just bootcamp , even some of them switch to CS after ending with the Chemical Engineering major. Why is that difference in wages?
Mostly because: 1) not great job market for young engineers... 2) old-school industries/companies 3) not in trendy or innovative sectors... on the wages, that may be the case as well... you may find a better job coding
@@ChemicalEngineeringGuy i think it was based on every nation currency. Well 6000$ in my country was alr good enough. Maybe you could do chemcial engineering salary based on country
@@ChemicalEngineeringGuy i m think i should move Dubai What should you give me a advice Should I move Dubai aur wait to gain more work experience I am have a 1 year experience in fertilizer industry

In India they pay 6000$per year.
Im sorry to hear that... Is it because of competition? or just low salaries overall?
