I have never seen this before. When I was 6, I got a football book for Christmas which covered the 1961/62 season, including the 1962 World Cup. It had a whole section on Spurs run in the European Cup (I was already a Spurs fan, brainwashed by my dad), including a few photos from this game, so I've always known about it. Think we played Dukla Prague as well before going out in the semi against Benfica.
I didn't realise these games were televised, but that's probably because we didn't have a television until 1963.
Interesting that when Gornik score that great goal the whole Spurs crowd applauds appreciatively. We used to do that back then, applaud great play by the opposition. Rarely happens now.
    Thanks for the post.

Ernest Pohl's goal best that night. Ernest Pohl and Ernest Wilimowski are considered best soccer players Poland ever had.

My dad told me about the great European nights at the Lane, saying the atmosphere that night at the Gornik game was incredible & spurs would’ve beaten anyone that night. Cliff Jones (my dads hero) said the same to my dad when they met on a White Hart Lane Stadium Legends tour. SPURS4LIFE.

Mate, can you point me to any film that might show the genius of John White? He doesn't get the respect he deserves in Scotland.
