It was their third match for Spurs and there was so much excitement upon their arrival after winning the 1978 World Cup that bringing loads of newspapers into the ground, tearing them up and chucking them in the air to replicate the ticker tape welcome the Argentinian supporters gave their team whenever they took the field lasted for about six weeks. Always remember ardiles grabbing the attention for spurs, and to me Ricardo villa was the better player..he didn't show off like ardiles did during the Falklands war..kept his head down and played his game..remember the 82 f.a.cup final..what a goal..what a man..fair play to him..from Chelsea fan.

Ardiles didn't " show off".Fabulous player.
He did the simple things very very well.
Villa was probably underrated.
