    This Tutorial shows how to create a dynamic energy chain that can be dragged back and forth manually in the assembly.
    (SolidWorks 2015 required to use the chain component pattern.)

    Instead of it just moving forward and back, is there a way it can go forward, back, up and down?

    Tryed on SW2013 and unable to find where is the chain tool. It's for 2015 version onwards, doesn't it?

      Hi Marcos the chain tool is only available in SolidWorks2015

    Question - How would you insert this into another assembly and make it attachable to another dynamic/flexible part so that it moves in conjunction with it? I've tried attaching the locking mounting brack to a rigid object, and the pivot mounting bracket to the flexible object, but it will not stay attached.

      Nevermind... With a little more persistence I finally figured it out.

      @@jonathanbaptiste7733 The problem I had was the pivot attachment was attached to a rigid sub-assembly. Had to make it flexible before it would work within the master assembly.

    no matter what I do, It will not accept any Chain Group plane. I'm lost.
