Its a shame that studios like technicolor, do much of the hiring for 3d artist in India (Bengaluru) because you get extraordinary quality of 3d work be it modeling, texturing, animation, vfx etc. 3d artist community in India is highly underpaid and these studios are exploiting them. Its high time for 3d artists' community in India to wake up and plz not to co-operate and work with such studios until they pay you for what you deserve, Seeing the current cost of living etc., the work itself.... NO ARTIST IN INDIA SHOULD JOIN THEM UNTIL THEY PAY YOU AT LEAST INR 50,000 per month for a fresher level be it any field of 3d industry..because thats the amount to decently live a life in Metropolitan ciities and considering the amount of work we 3d artists put in... BOYCOTT THESE STUDIOS UNTIL THEY PAY WHAT YOU DESERVE.

Hey,I am completed b.tech recently.from childhood I want to become animation designer but family things doesn't supported and I learn small things from UA-cam but I need depth training in the animation.I want to join with you as a family member.Do you provide any courses?
Get Instagram bro ,u can find a lot of artist (begginers and learners) they will share a lot of things and free access to courses and such 😜,if you have a passion and discipline u should be doing milages and stuff ....u have a lot to discover from utube alone ! About industries ,art etc...and make art friends in Instagram etc....
I think now they are hiring. 'sharon nicholas' search for this name on LinkedIn there she posted how to apply for. They mostly prefer freshers only and starting salary is 28k and it will be 1 year contract (obviously it will extend every year but you don't have gratuity). But let me tell you it is not going to be as fun as they showed in this video but I can say that this is the best company in India in terms of respect for the artist. And about job security they have projects for next four years. I'm working for some other Business Unit of Technicolor so I can't refer.
every company have some bad things and some good things. because of covid 19 every industry effected but still this place is awesome for fresher if they are hiring and i am also 3d animator.
hey, I am doing my final year CS engineering in bangalore and I got placed in a IT company. But from my childhood I was always passionate about animation and vfx, and wanted to work in that stream. But I didnt know how to get there. I need some help.. How can i get a job in Technicolor ? Should I have a specific degree in animation ? (The knowledge I have about 2D animation, 3d modelling, Texturing, Rigging were learnt from youtube)
As an artist with 10 years of experience, don't spoil your life just by looking at these fake colors. VFX industry is the only industry where you can't feel secured at any point of time. If some thing goes bad with the company it will immediately impact on the artists jobs. In this pandemic situation you can't imagine how may lost their jobs. So I suggest don't waste your most valuable time by only looking at the glitters. Just finish your engineering first the. Choose any other industry where you feel more secured. Only Technicolor india pays some respectable salaries to their artists, all other companies like DNeg, NYVFXwala, Pay very less and you not have any person life. Most of (95%) VFX companies are famous for their 24/6 365 days work Still if you want to get in to animation then it will be better of you if you choose gaming and it is a bit difficult to get a job in it, but in gaming you will have better pay better timings. And as a comuter science student you must be familiar with python if so then it will be a lot easier for you if you choose FX as your specialisation.
@@Thecomper Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have been campus placed in a company as a developer, but I am so mch passionate about animation and vfx from childhood, so after this reply I think I have to take fx as my free time intrest an move on with my placement. Thanks again (For now I am learning Blender from UA-cam, is der any suggestion for me that u can give? )
