I provided material for him one time when I rushed out of his show when he was making his closing statements. I had to pee really bad. Everyone started laughing cuz I just yeeted out of the place 😂😂😂😂

I watch a lot of comedians, Drew is one of the best, but not only for the comedy and material, but specially for the way he engages with the audience. Some other comedians do, but he is by far the fastest and smartest of them all, he makes everything seem so natural, but the intelligence and his quick thinking to make good jokes and punchlines is a skill by itself. I had never heard of this guy before and this was CLASSIC! (This video came up as a suggested video sort of out of nowhere). That is a true comedian… Somebody who can roll with whatever is going on and constantly be funny. Far more rare than someone who can just tell jokes.

I saw him on like America’s got talent or something I think, he used to have a really bad stutter and it’s actually crazy how much it has improved, and he’s still hilarious.

I saw Drew live once, and he took a phone that had been ringing for most of the show. What ensued after that was HILARIOUS!
You see the dad was ok with it he was chill and didn’t get angry. But the look on his face when she said i am 16 he was scared out of his mind

As someone that does stand up comedy and is a student of the game, most crowd work is generally the same. After a while it stops being challenging. Shultz is a good example of that. You can see where he is going a mile away when he starts up with someone.
This however was totally genius. Normally the caller on the phone thing just hacks at someone using a phone during a comedy show, but once you had a tiny bit of material from the caller, you made new material and ventured from the "let's insult dad" thing where most people would have went. Then when you saw it was a minor emergency, you played the hero and won the room. Gave the phone back and got new material from her lie. You went on some self depreciating humor instead of going at the dad and making jokes about him and then ended off with the pics.
That is A+ crowd work. Not the usual type of stuff you see on the internet.

I’ve found many comedians use swearing in an attempt to be funny, but this guy just does it incidentally, so it doesn’t detract. Genuinely funny guy, quick on his feet, and just the right amount of self-deprecation. Glad the algorithm brought this to me.
His crowd work is great. Instead of talking shit to someone about something absolutely rude to do at a show, he turned it into gold.
