Thank you for making a great detailed video. I hate putting things together such as assembly of parts. I'd just rather watch a video. A booklet doesn't do it for me. Glad this video was available. Thanks again
I was going to rent one since I only had a few ceiling panels to install but Northern Tools has their version on sale for 124.99! They had it marked $164.99 at the store but I showed them their website. Fantastic value and despite minor differences, this video is essential for assembly.
Thank you so much! My wife and I love making these videos, and it's the icing on the cake when someone like yourself finds them useful. Welcome to the channel!
Thank you for the demonstration. My surgeon told me I can no longer lift anything over 30 pounds. I have several projects I've put off because I did not know how I could lift the panels by myself. Now I'm on it!
Per instructions you need to push the locking pin forward to keep it out of the holes when lowering it. It will stay in that position until the panel lowers then a mechanism moves it back to where it would lock the next time you use it.
@Vasquez International Properties Holdings Inc. Yes, I'm still figuring things out myself. Used it for the first time yesterday, and it works great. Although i have the Northern Tool version , your for the assembly instructions were extremely helpful. Also there is apparently another saftey pin called the "square pin" that restricts the inner tube from falling all the way down if the other pin misses the hole and the breaking mechanism fails. I didn’t use it last night because i couldn't figure it out. It's a large pin with a big circle attached to it.
It would have been good if the guy in the video actually had used one of these before and shown how the table tilts to load the drywall and then flips up and can be locked in place. It is designed for one man to easily install drywall. Also, if the guy had actually known about lifting the small lever opposite the crank handle and turned the handle backwards to let it down, this would have been useful.
Ha Ha you have about as much room as I do! Appreciate keeping it real! I need to buy NOW so your review was helpful.Thumbs up and like.I will subscribe to see what else you are doing.
Good job. Looks like theres a technique to it. One thing you didnt mention was the tension break by the wheel for in-between locking points overall good job..
It’s worth the money I’ve had this same one for 3 years only complaint I had was the handle was cross threaded so I had to do without it but other than that it’s worth it
I was too. My suggestion: unless you need it right now, wait until you get a coupon from Harbor freight. It's worth the money but who doesn't like a good deal?!
@@VIPHoldings I bought it today from harbor freight. Definitely a must have for high ceilings. It’s so much easier now compared to using ladders with two people.
Is there any way to get this damn thing to stop spinning. Trying to put a panel of drywall on there and having the damn thing move everywhere as made me break a few. I have a lot of small spaces so I can’t just lift it up and put it in because of posts and walls in the way so I have to slide it in. Very frustrating
@dlewdm I don't think there is a way to keep it from spinning but I would recommend tilting it down and loading it as if you're putting it on the wall instead of trying to loft it up top. Have you tried that yet?
I’m trying to push the pin in so the base opens up but it won’t open that’s why I came to this video. The pin is stuck no matter how hard I push the little triangle piece down
I'm not sure what you mean by "wrap itself. " The wire fence comes in 4'x8' sections at any big box store (i.e. lowes) and the metal brackets to keep it off the ground are usually right next to them.
@@VIPHoldings drywall adhesive comes in quart tubes and you have to use a quart caulking gun to apply it.i been useing it for at least 25 to 30 years at least on all drywall patch work and ceilings.it will ensure that years down the road you won't have any movement that leads to a possibility of seams opening up.guys have a tendency to over set the screws and when this happens the screw is pulled in a little to far and it breaks the paper on the drywall weakening the screws hold. this is where drywall adhesive does it's job.its not as important for walls but I consider a must on all ceilings to ensure a good long lasting job.
@@randallsemrau6911 the ceiling joists.you apply it on the joists or studs with a quart caulking gun right before you hang each sheet of drywall.you still screw the drywall to the joists or studs.it just gives it a lot more strength.i feal it's mandatory for ceilings not really needed for walls but if you really want a job that guarantees no movement as time goes on it don't hurt to apply it on walls aswell but it's more important on ceilings.
@@randallsemrau6911 when you see older drywalled ceilings or walls that start to have cracks appear in the seams it's usually is attributed to the fact that the drywall wasn't screwed properly and or glue wasn't used at all.it prevents future seam separation or cracks to appear.
I never did figure out how to lower it back down. JK, it's a bit awkward but still infinitely less awkward than 3-4 of your friends standing on ladders to hold it up as you drill it in.
When I first started using it, I would completely agree until I figured out that I could slide it over and disengage it while I'm lowering it down. Now I'm kinda glad it's there jic something happens. Thank you for watching!
@@VIPHoldings well for starters. In this video The wheel was already attached. And it’s not when it’s in the box and how to put the string in place. Just for starters. And I came looking So I can get help with the wheel 🤷♀️it’s how I know he skipped unless his already came attached

Can you use this to hold solar panels?
I don't know that I would trust it with solar panels, but if you made a few modifications, it could work. Welcome to our channel!
Is that the right of drywall?
I don't understand the question.
Why are you using the green sheetrock and is that a garage?

got a different brand from amazon called Stark (made in USA) and the instructions were missing drawings as well as steps. Not good
Are you sure it was manufactured in the US and not just packaged in the US? Shady companies play on words a lot now days.
