Whisper "signature move" love it, well Pail you didn't disappoint with this Jam, I found myself holding my breath just watching you and your student trying to outmaneuver the bandit, just wow, great footage, oh my mariners disease wouldn't last a second would it, geez you'd have to pour me out of the T-45 lol! Your student pilots are so lucky to have you instruct them to earn their Wings of Gold. Thank you for all you do and can't wait for your next Jam.
I was an Offensive Avionics Tech on the B-1B. You’re given me a side I’ve never seen or experienced. Thank you. Stay safe, blue skies forever! GO NAVY!!
Now that was stunning. Far more engaging than whole Top Gun movie. That certainly looked exhausting, but watching this was a lot of fun. Thank you so much!
I live in Key West and love watching you fly around my Key Haven house. I’m friends with Mike, the retired Key West navel base commander. Much respect to you guys and Thank You for your service!
Student: I can’t shake that bandit! Pail: *signature move* Bandit: *hesitation because he can’t believe what he just witnessed* Student: 😮 Pail: “This jam will be so bad ass, because I am badass.”
That was crazy! I'm retired army, but I have to say, "You guys got balls the size of coconuts." Thanks so much for taking us along and showing us how it's done.
Damn Son, that was pretty cool!!! Growler Jams, your commentary makes me want to become a Naval Aviator. I'm waaaayyyyy to old for that. Lol. You R-O-C-K!!!! Fly Navy!!
I just finished the biography of John Boyd, (called unsurprisingly, "Boyd") , I wonder how many techniques he developed are still in use today? "Get on his six and hose 'em" . You guys are amazing!
Love it! Whisper signature move even! My husband was a KC135 pilot and he said they give the call sign Pail to the pilot who carries the most water ie: best pilot, does the most work etc. True?
Great video! Even though I am not a pilot, I felt myself wanting to pull the stick back, kind of like hitting your emergency brake when your younger sister is driving.
I was literally thinking about this scenario today. I was curious to confirm this but the video answered. To successfully handle a dog fight scenario, it would NOT be at supersonic speeds since, I presume, the ability to handle tight maneuvering for evasion would be reduced. That LOOKS nerve rackimg...hard to keep LOS on target behind you wile maneuvering....insane skills LOVE IT
Awesome 😃. The Goshawk sure does look touchy though. I didn't realise the students got to do dogfights in the goshawk. I bet the students were pretty amped up when thay get to this stage. What a wild ride , i had neck pain just watching it. Super stuff Sir 😎 🫡
I'm amazed that the pilot is controlling the aircraft while turning his head in different directions while in various turn configurations and doesn't suffer vertigo!
Beyond a doubt, the best channel on YT. Another great JAM!!! 🛫 To me, this was so impressive but I will bet dollars to doughnuts the T-45 must feel like grandpa's clunker when you earn your wings and move up to F-18.
Surprised on how difficult the Goshawk is to fly aggressively, it looks such a nimble jet. I wonder if its a lot heavier the the Bae Hawk flown by the British.
After waited for one week🙄 and the accidental upload😂 a few hours ago.....at last can watch the actual video during one week 🎉Chinese New Year holiday. 🥰🇲🇾
Yeah, that’s amazing! Good talk through on how to save your own bacon if you got a bandit on your six! Tell me something: what resolution do you typically shoot those videos at? Is that 4K or beyond? Is the bandit visible with those resolutions? I know it’s not like Top Gun where it’s just formation flying cleverly edited to look like dogfighting, but still.
Holy crap! That's the most nerve-wracking, scary and off-the-chart thing I've ever witnessed!! You don't even have time to wiggle your fingers or toes and a signature move is totally out of the question!! Of night landings and dog fighting, which is the most trying on the aviators? I can see where they each have their OMG factors. How many times will you train the student like this before he moves on? I'm assuming this is a graded exercise? You are, IMO the G.O.A.T Naval aviators, Pail. #FlyNavy 🇺🇸 ❤ 🇺🇸
Holy crap !!!!! That was out of control crazy scary, nerve-wracking, and off the charts. The beating your bodies took made me tired, Pail. How often will you train like this with the students before they move on?
Honest question.....can dogfights even exist any longer? I mean, we find them on a radar 10 miles away, and shoot at them from distances they can't even see us. Like, this isn't 1980's Top Gun stuff, right? When was the last actual dogfight that a US jet took part in?
As a Corpsman attached to Marine Air Group 41, I was chatting with one of our F/A-18 fighter pilots, and he admitted he’d do his job for free.
The camera work here is movie worthy! FLY NAVY!

Good jam, Pail. Goshawk looks like it flies like an absolute bastard.
I was an Offensive Avionics Tech on the B-1B. You’re given me a side I’ve never seen or experienced. Thank you. Stay safe, blue skies forever! GO NAVY!!
TYFYS.
Thanks good show
Now that was stunning. Far more engaging than whole Top Gun movie. That certainly looked exhausting, but watching this was a lot of fun. Thank you so much!
AWESOME!!!!! Your videos have been pure gold since your channel started!!!! Love them❤❤❤
Loved this jam.
I live in Key West and love watching you fly around my Key Haven house. I’m friends with Mike, the retired Key West navel base commander. Much respect to you guys and Thank You for your service!
Student: I can’t shake that bandit!
Pail: *signature move*
Bandit: *hesitation because he can’t believe what he just witnessed*
Student: 😮
Pail: “This jam will be so bad ass, because I am badass.”
Love the Jam!!
Sierra Hotel, Pail! Loved the obligatory signature move! All the best and Fly Navy!
Hey man! your vids are a big part of why I've decided to *attempt* to become a Growler pilot. I love your content, keep it up man
What commissioning source you going?
I caught the "signature" move there. Slick. lol
Love watching you guys fly from my balcony near Boca Chica!
That was crazy! I'm retired army, but I have to say, "You guys got balls the size of coconuts." Thanks so much for taking us along and showing us how it's done.
Great footage!!! Love the lesson! Right on!
great video, well taught!
Thank you.😊
Thanks, Pail. It's a good day when you upload a new one. Really interesting stuff and really well done.

Fly Navy! You are the best Naval Instructor anyone could hope to have!
Awesome as always!
Totally awesome. Hope that guy got his golden wings. Hope to buy you a beer someday, Pail. Fly Navy.
Great video! Thanks for taking us along
I'll be watching this again on my big screen. Background track would be Walk by Pantera
I was happy to hear you say it is "a lot of fun". You guys are amazing, thanks for the video.
Awesome video. Looks like a ton of fun to train. Thanks for the great examples of thought process and tactics.
Talk to me Goose, they're on our tail Mav!
Signature vid! Thanks.
my favorite YT channel! Thanks Pail!
Glad you enjoy it!
Looks awesome. So impressive with how much awareness needed with what's behind as well as flying the jet.
Gotta love that turnin’ and burnjn’! 😅 thanks a bunch.
Amazing! Nail butter! I know nothing! Made me nervous as he turns and looks! Who’s driving?! Ha! Thank you for all you do and you service!!
Great job out there. high G Signature move, it doesn't get any better than that...!!!
There is a signature move in there if people listen carefully! Amazing view! Fly Navy!
Nice work, thanks for sharing!
Love watching your videos. This is better than the film Top Gun!
Nice to see something from you again.
A bit of fun: it all looked much more spectacular in Top Gun “Maverik”.
Greetings from Hamburg.
Fascinating as always
Thank you for your service...looks like the best job on the planet!! FLY NAVY!
Enjoyed the Jam! Thank you!
Damn Son, that was pretty cool!!! Growler Jams, your commentary makes me want to become a Naval Aviator. I'm waaaayyyyy to old for that. Lol. You R-O-C-K!!!! Fly Navy!!
Coming back as a fighter pilot man !! 😂👌🏻🍻
Not sure if I can do it but I will give it a try
Great video
Thanks for another Jam packed video!
Would love to see a Growler taking out a SAM site.
😎
Nice work and big fun. Fly Navy!
Love watching your videos. Stay safe up there!
I just finished the biography of John Boyd, (called unsurprisingly, "Boyd") , I wonder how many techniques he developed are still in use today? "Get on his six and hose 'em" . You guys are amazing!
We still use a lot of his techniques today.
He's BACK!!
Fly Navy!
Absolutely amazing content! Can we get more of this?
Buy you a beer.
Holy crap! Awesome video
Love it! Whisper signature move even!
My husband was a KC135 pilot and he said they give the call sign Pail to the pilot who carries the most water
ie: best pilot, does the most work etc. True?
I would never say I was the best…average at best.
Great video! Even though I am not a pilot, I felt myself wanting to pull the stick back, kind of like hitting your emergency brake when your younger sister is driving.
Pure magic!
Another great video. Thanks. Fly Navy.
Awesome Pail!! ❤️❤️ Thank you!! Fly Navy!
Top Gun real life, love it. thank so much.
I was literally thinking about this scenario today. I was curious to confirm this but the video answered. Awesome! Good stuff!

thanks for the info GJ !!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm amazed that the pilot is controlling the aircraft while turning his head in different directions while in various turn configurations and doesn't suffer vertigo!
Fond memories of ACM! After a kill I'd do a canopy roll and always get a single finger "hello"! Check 6, Bandit out
I love this SOOO much, super-superfun! 💥💥💯💜
I was wondering when jams would be back?
Beyond a doubt, the best channel on YT. Another great JAM!!! 🛫
To me, this was so impressive but I will bet dollars to doughnuts the T-45 must feel like grandpa's clunker when you earn your wings and move up to F-18.
Yup, you are correct.
👌👍
really cool
My heart rate was up and I wasnt even there..
It's a decent enough video, but in future the algorithm will be expecting more 'signature moves'.
Thumbs up this time though.

Surprised on how difficult the Goshawk is to fly aggressively, it looks such a nimble jet. I wonder if its a lot heavier the the Bae Hawk flown by the British.
When does "Knock it off" typically get used?
Mostly by my dad when I was being a smart-ass.
FLY NAVY!
Hello, what are these zigzag lines in the canopy for?
They detonate the canopy in the case of an ejection.
Cool!
After waited for one week🙄 and the accidental upload😂 a few hours ago.....at last can watch the actual video during one week 🎉Chinese New Year holiday. 🥰🇲🇾
WOW! Great video! I loved the jam! You rock! Fly Navy and Marines! ⚓️✈️⚓️💪. Beers to you! 🍻🍺
Do the students ride in back seat with instructors to teach them first or all training is on ground simulator.
Depends on the event. Students learn dogfighting from the front cockpit
Thanks
How do you get your call sign?
My uncle is a retired AF fighter mechanic. He loved his job but never got to go in the air on one for some reason.
Shhhhh.. signature move
😎
Yeah, that’s amazing! Good talk through on how to save your own bacon if you got a bandit on your six! Tell me something: what resolution do you typically shoot those videos at? Is that 4K or beyond? Is the bandit visible with those resolutions? I know it’s not like Top Gun where it’s just formation flying cleverly edited to look like dogfighting, but still.
This was 4k. Do you like the resolution? First one in 4k.

Solid days work...tally-ho.
Sick
Nice vid! Fly Navy
What no signature move?
There was one and it was called. Better look harder.
Thats a easy one stay out them😂😂
hi growler how hard is it to join the air force also am subbed
Don’t know. I’ve never done it. Fly Navy!
@@GrowlerJamsohhhhh drops mic and moonwalks out 😂
😎
Holy crap !!!!! That was out of control crazy scary, nerve-wracking, and off the charts. The beating your bodies took made me tired, Pail. How often will you train like this with the students before they move on?
@@GrowlerJams😂😂😂👍
US figher pilots from their training videos seems premier. Considering the US Navy is the second largest air force in the world, it is inspiring.
Fly Navy!
I think the bandit cheated. He had the sun behind him. Isn't that against the rules? 😉
No way. Fair game.
Honest question.....can dogfights even exist any longer? I mean, we find them on a radar 10 miles away, and shoot at them from distances they can't even see us. Like, this isn't 1980's Top Gun stuff, right?
When was the last actual dogfight that a US jet took part in?
Yes, this is and will always be a thing.
😎❤
T-7 soon! lol
This was cool, but all you really had to do was brake hard, and he'd have flown right by and then you zap him. Duh.
