Hey Bill, oh thanks amazing!! I absolutely LOVED Chania!! Amazing shops and bars and all the little streets it’s was beautiful! I would definitely choose to live there in Crete! Thankyou ❤️
Congratulations for crossing the Karpathian sea. One of the nastiest place of the Aegean! When the meltemi blows this place is simply chaotic . Wise choice to wait before the crossing.
hey Pholippos, thanks so much! Wow I can only imagine when the meltemi is blowing through! We were lucky the wind wasn’t too crazy around 25 knots no more but the swell was not fun at all!! Cheers 😄
Well done guys another great show really enjoyed, real inspiration to others,we've just started sailing learning the ropes on a small day sailer hopefully heading over to greek Isles next year on a flotilla holiday, then if that goes well and the better half enjoys it will be in the market for a yacht ,keep up the great work 👍🏻
Hey Ashley, thanks so much 🥰glad you’re enjoying it all! And that’s awesome!! You’ll love it! Loads to learn but getting out there on your own boat you’ll learn very quickly! You have to! Haha keep in touch we hope you enjoy the flotilla 🤙🏼
Congratulations guys on your first 10 patreons, I have extremely good instincts when it comes to UA-cam content creator's and I'm very confident that you guys will become very successful, just keep doing what your doing, love all the recent videos, keep up the good work, and most importantly stay free! Peace ✌
Hey Robert, we haven’t done anything super in depth but our Q&A episode we chat a little bit about our body purchase. Is that something you’d like to see? We might be able to pop that in a video with a boat tour 😆
@@LeadingtheEscapade I am interested in why you chose that boat and whether you had any sailing experience before venturing forth. Did you get advice about the merits or otherwise of a mono hull versus a catamaran?
Ah cool! We actually do answer a bit of that in our Q&A. I’ll link it here for you to check out! We’d loveee a catamaran but unfortunately it was out of our budget, but hopefully one day! Just for more living space and comfortability ua-cam.com/video/uyczek7TmTI/v-deo.html
Nice video👍 when you fly your asymmetric spinnaker the sheet is supposed to go to a block at the stern and forward to a winch and not through a midship block. Also your spinnaker sheets should be double the length of your boat.
Hey Nigel, haha yeah this was that first day when I was actually messaging you and we realised it was set up wrong, but yeah the sheet DEFINTELY needs to be longer, so thanks for the tips 😆
When you re registered the boat did you keep it registered in the UK or transfer it back home? I have always wondered if you get a new sail number if you change the country if registration or will you always have the the GBR letters and numbers? When you replace them you maybe able to get the AUS letters in!
We actually registered it with a polish flag, sounds random but did it for a number of reasons, first because it’s VAT paid it keeps in paid status so if we sold it here it’s better, second we don’t have to check in and out of every port in a country or have to go to customs in any EU countries and third it was going to be much quicker to register the boat that wait for Australian rego. I know we’re actually legally supposed to register the boat Australian as we both are but it’s done us good so far 😆 we will probably change the registration maybe once we leave the med though and that way if we somehow brought the boat to Australia it’s better too. But once we get new sails we’ll get sails without any big numbers and letters on the sails, apparently you don’t have to usually, it just depends what country and how you register the boat I would love an Aussie rego though so we can fly a big f*ck off sized Aussie flag 😂😂😂
Hey Nathalie, they’re about 6-8 weeks behind. Sometimes we catch up a bit sooner, all depends on how many days end up fitting into one episode 😄 but give us a follow on Instagram or Facebook if you have it as we pop up to date stuff on there ☺️
Gahahah oh my god 😂😂 that is so not a thing in my shoes 😅 I don’t wear thick socks and actually my shoes didn’t smell, Jason was like I’d rather do it in your shoe than mine Hahahaah I must not get gross feet 🦶😅😂😂

Have you done an episode where you discuss the type of boat that you have purchased and why that boat?

All i could think of is little clumps of sweaty sock fluff going down your throat when you did the challenge i think some people call it toe jam🤢
