Chelita 2024: OPAC's 2nd Annual Arts, Music and Michelada Festival
Every inch of the event’s footprint was activated with art installations (from kinetic bandanas to a pop-up gallery curated by The Showroom), interactive activities like mural painting, cartoon portraits and watercolors, local artisans, vendors and food trucks, and live performances by La Sonora Explosiva, Anessa, DJ Kris, Grupo Folklórico Fusión Mexicana, Mariachis Gallo de Oro, and Los Disidentes.
But the highlight of the day was the Michelada Competition where 11 competitors vyed for the title of: Best Restaurant Michelada (winner: Jalisco's) and People's Choice and Best Overall (winner: Big D's Michi Mix). OPAC debuted a new "Taste Test Palette" (shaped like an artist palette) where guests could try up to 5 different micheladas and vote for their favorite.
