There's no way I could do this. Ellen, you were actually making a crazy mess that was beautiful! My messes, are ... just actual messes. I could never do what you do. You are such an expert!
I’m ready for spring! ❤

Ellen, this is so, so fun! It reminds me that I need to just trust the process and play sometimes. You’re a genius!
Lovely combo of Watercolours n Guash...

Love you looseness and confidence! Mine is not as nice, but I like it. Next time it will be better - I learned a lot. Thanks!

Oh my gosh, this is so gorgeous! I love it! I'm scared to try watercolor again as it's been years and years since I last tried it, but I think I'll give this one a go! Thank you.
This looks fabulous!
Just attempted it, and it was so much fun! Thank you for the excellent and clear steps, you are amazing!
Hi Ellen! I started this painting yesterday, and had a blast laying color all over the paper. I had to wait overnight to let it dry. I will add the wildflowers today. I am a beginner, and found this to be liberating!
I like your style! Looks carefree but it is so on point and precise and well tought on… wow. You are a good teacher, if it was not so late in the evening, I would just go at it. Thank you so much! Saved this post for tomorrow! ❤you have mastered the wild meadow flowers field!
I'm going to try it, it's lovely! Thanks, Ellen!
Lovely! Thank you Ellen! I just found a new project! 😊

Awesome!! ❤ love the lack of lots of pre planning!! Ive been in a rut and you've reminded me that I dont always have to spend lots of time preplanning to make something beautiful!! Thanks!!
You are right Ellen, that was great fun and I got such a lot of info from you for mixing the colous Thank you for sharing with us x
I found some very good quality gouache in my old art supplies from at least 15 years ago and it was still good. I also bought some new inexpensive ones and I am just now starting to play with them. This would be a great project to practice.
Just stunning. I love your style❤
Love the wildflower compositions…so much depth in this..wonderful
Oh, thank you. 🥰

Awesomeness!!! I had a lot of fun with this one.
Really beautiful, Ellen!
Your finished painting is so beautiful! And actually your palette next to it is so beautiful! It could be it’s own abstract!
BEAUTIFUL
Exciting!! ❤
Beautiful! Thank you!
Love it!
Just got a set of Holbein pastel watercolors that will be perfect for this
I love this. I’m somewhat of a beginner and really want to try gouache. I have just a few questions, do you wet your brush like using watercolors and does it ruin your brushes? Also, I’ve been looking on Amazon for some mid priced sets. Can you recommend a set for a amateur? Thanks so much, I love watching you paint. ❤️
LOVE IT!
My credit card is used more often than my palette knife! What a great tool! Right?
Mega schön ❤
This is beautiful! Ellen, would you please name your source (again) for that beautiful porcelain pallet?
This is so pretty!! Is the lilac you used for flowers a gauche?
How does white gauche differ from Doc Martin's bleed proof white? I LOVE your tutorials. Many thanks.
Hi Ellen I just love your videos. I love your style. I am a beginner in watercolor I started on or about November 2022. I need more practice on adding the watercolors I start good but then I screw it up when I paint the second layer. Please help! I’m going to try this wildflowers. I love the way you did this. So so cool. Thanks
I'm going to try this -- maybe on black watercolour paper. I always hesitate trying anything for fear of wasting a piece of paper! I need to get over that ridiculous 'excuse' not to paint.... Perhaps the fact that I put that in writing just now will push me over that hurdle!! :)
Do you use gouache with your watercolor brushes?
Pick a brush up. If it doesn’t work try another till you get it.
Can you tell the colours in your palette.
Boo, no gouache!
You can use it !
