What up Jalill, I saw you guys live at the Fresh Fest in the summer of 1985 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. You guys are definitely in my top 5 of favorite Hip-hop groups. Thanks for the memories.
Whodini was one of my favorite rap groups of all time and their music was a mixture of R&B, funk, and hip-hop blended together. Sadly, they didn't get the notoriety they deserved. Five Minutes of Funk, One Love, Friends, Escape, and The Freaks Come Out At Night were a cut above the rest!
I think they got the notoriety they were supposed to get at that time. Rap was still just getting bigger when they were out. They were part of the biggest tour of that era

Unforgettable MC. I met Ecstasy in the early 90s when the "Bag o' Trix" album was going to drop. He gave me the cassette single for "Freaks." Cool dude. I was blessed to see Whodini perform twice (with Grandmaster Dee. IJS). No one could wreck a stage like Whodini. Rest in Peace, Ecstasy.
Man i was blessed to see this group during their Fresh Fest Tour in springfield Massachusetts they turned the place out they all was off the chain. They lifted Grand Master Dee up off his feet and he was still cutting them records.
I attended the Fresh Fest in the summer of 1985 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. I remember they had two stages set-up for non stop performance. My Godmother was a radio personality for Jet Magazine radio station WJPC and she gave me and her kids tickets to attend the concert. The good ole days.
