I've worked with motion capture for a couple years. It's exciting to see features coming to C4D. As for the markers you're using and the number to use... Typically, a smaller number should be used for markers so large. If you want detailed tracking, it may be worthwhile to use small pieces of reflective tape and shoot through a ring light. I don't know how C4D handles non-rigid bodies (like limbs, or even facial features), but it'll be interesting to experiment. I'd love it if programs like Vicon or Maya were needed, since those often break the bank.
Only brand new to this software but this appears to be the best, most helpful and detailed channel to help me learn that I’ve come across.. thanks so much bud
Hi man, amazing tut, I wanted to know how did you create the dynamic balls at the end, I tried using the cloner and dynamics tag and the dynamics arenot working when they are inside the object tracker. Any tips on that? Thanks...
Very Cool. In my ignorance I thought that the balls were somehow electronically linked to the software but its just visual reference for motiontracking :)
this was great! just a small question, can i track a face without the traking balls? i mean, using facial features, like the tip of the nose or the ears. im asking because what if what i want is to make the 3d objects appear in the scene. Thank for this tutorial it was really good
If your tracking is good enough, you can. The white balls are only there to help tracking (High contrast with the rest of the clip). But you will probably need to do a lot of manual correction.
It’s common to add small tracking markers to actors’ faces that you can use to track the motion. Just include in the post process a pass in which you erase them using the very same tracking info you got from them.
Great tutorial! When I render a frame to picture viewer it only shows the objects with a black background. How do I get the frame of the footage to render also with the objects?
Just buy balls like these from the dollar store (if they're available there) or in the arts/crafts shops where they sell supplies for art projects, i don't know about your country, but here in Bulgaria, they're not pricey at all ,glue them / or use a tape / to a simple black hat and voilà 😁
Two questions: 1. What is the keyboard shortcut to zoom and reposition the footage? 2. Why are my user tracks only tracking one frame, and then are unable to track any more (tracking options become greyed out)
99/00 was sotNice tutorialng called Vision DSP or DST or sotNice tutorialng and didn't quite work the way soft soft does, but tNice tutorials video helped so
New to Cinema 4D, this tutorial was super helpful. I have a question regarding tracking data, I have a few bum frames that I was trying to remove similarly to how I would when working with After Effects. The project itself starts to look more cleaned up, but when I save quit out and reopen my C4D project, all those keyframes I didn't want come back. Am I not replacing the tracking data with information it needs, thus the keyframes returning?
Can anyone help me? Tracking done all well but the position and rotation whenever there's movement doesn't seem to follow its orientation... anyone got any ideas? My footage is an iPhone being rotated and I tracked the screen. but rotation isn't being applied, not that I see..
Can someone help me? I am very new to C4d. I have followed the tutorial and I have got to the part where you Target the User Features from the Object Tracker. How do I make the Sphere and give it the jiggly effect?
I'm curious about one situation. In my scene, at the "sphere step" (near the end) I have one single frame that is off. How can I correct this ? Have I to redo all the mocap at this frame or is it a way to correct this single frame while keeping the contraint tag ?
My footage wasn't showing up and nothing was working. Turns out I had "other" turned off under the filter menu, which made my footage invisible. Just in case anyone else is struggling with this issue, that's one thing to check!
boss how you color match plz god can you make a tutorial on that ...with bowls ..plz one one tell us ...all process if you are giving a online class somewhere plz tell me
The comnt section is very positive and downright encouraging! Love it!
It's so pleasing. The setuping and mastering softs amazing.
It’s totally worth learning new skills cause then you get excited and confident to create

ok
Thanks for your easy to follow explanations, one step at a ti. It makes learning less overwhelming!
You need at least 7 trackers to track an object, or 3 for a geometry-assisted solve.
below that u cant click those button
Thx!
thanks a lot!!! this is what I was looking for
Really nice job. I did so stuff with MIDI/DAW/soft banks wayyy back in like 99/00 in college and was ok at it. I bought soft soft last
Take a week just learning the basics and you will be good, I been using soft soft since it was Fruity Loops back in 03, and still learn
when you’re in the channel rack, click on gms to open up the gms nu, in the light blue screen on the top left look where it says

For those of you cant see the 3d resolver please add more track points
Hi you must track 7 point at least
in R22, you need like 8 track points
So cool! The lighting is so perfect as well!

2:45 great skipped 10 steps
Right click on the point you want to track then "Create user track here" then "track forward (or backward, or bidirectional)". ;)
It's easier than it looks. I found learning soft design (like setups - I use SERUM) much more scary but it's doable, you just gotta be
Great tuorial. How did you do the bouncing spheres at the end. I'm new to c4d
Rigid body physics
Man you are the king of c4d
wow. thank you for the amazing video

ALL RIGHT THOR, now show us did you made environment lighting so wall
the tutorial was great.
what renderer did you use for those realistic balls?
Arash Chitgar his testicles are real

Looks like just the regular ol' physical renderer with a nice HDR sky object lighting it
Cool! But when there is a camera movement? It's possible?

Chris Hemsworth is also Australian, would be a logical answer... no? Lol.
I am watching his tutorials from a few days and i think that too
I changed the way I prounce TRACKA just by watching this.

anybody why when i loop a soft, at the end of my loop, my soft starts a half a soft early or late. makes it super frustrating
hi, thank you very much for your tutorials

hi you must tracking 7 point at least
When i'm running the 3D Solver for Object in the object tracker, it's throwing my coordinates way off, like 106000 away in Z. What's that all about?
Replace all of them to 0
you must put 7 point tracker at least
