I enjoy listening to Brad Argent. Love watching "DNA Journey." As an American, I usually don't know who the guests are, but it does not matter. Everyone has fascinating stories in their family histories. The good and the bad, the triumphs and tragedies.
Love DNA Journey and always excited when Brad is up in the episode. I appreciate the stories and how the show brings history to the guest stars. So many don't know much about their ancestors and I love how the show builds a connection. Can't wait for the next episode!
Always enjoy seeing Brad's choice of shirts! Appreciate that DNA journey doesn't just go for the bling, so many of us have families that lived quiet lives in their times. Encourages me to dig into the everyday stuff of my ancestors lives. Occasional bling is fun, but in the end (when my grandchildren research me....) they will not see high society, huge rebellion but a life lived (hopefully) well and in a way that influences future generations.
So lovely to chat with Karen 🙂
Thanks so much Brad, brilliant to get your take on the show and genealogy/DNA in general. Such an inspiring show!
Fab show love the format and results
I love Brad and his beautiful shirts.
My favorite DNA Journey episode is the one with Hugh Bonniville and John Bishop. It is delightfully amazing.
I’ve also enjoy Brad on the New Zealand show DNA Detectives.
It’s hosted by Richard O’Brien, who wrote “ Rocky Horror Picture Show” and played Riffraff. 🤩😁
We need a Canadian version of this and Who Do You Think You Are. We seem so interconnected with their stories and immigration had a lot to do with our being where we are.
I agree: bring a tv brain into family history- life is visual. To connect we need to see how another person sees the world. All the same in family histories. I dont always agree with the perspective, but that is the basis for other open conversation. It works.
It's nice to have a normal background, for it's who makes them up. It's okay not to have a war hero, a Royal ancestor, It knowing they lived and survived for the times were hard. How to survive a work house, lived out on the land, For we are all the same with similar stories.
I viewed some DNA Journey episodes last year and have been facinated...I'm trying to do more on my Ancestry web site tree, however I can't afford membership to delve further in the European past of my family, especially the Irish and polish info.
Is Finding Your Roots shown in the UK?
