We applaud all the Parade Participants!!! But trying to understand why the Marching Band formations were not maintaining straight lines shoulder to the left and to the right. The Bands that did play music they sounded good. Just don’t understand the lack of proper precision lines within the Marching Bands. In addition, all those accompanied the bands should be in complimentary outfits. Otherwise, it takes away from the bands unity. Norfolk State University Band was the only Band maintaining straight lines. Their music as always was on point.
As a long-time supporter of the music and band program, I have to say most of what I saw was a rag-tag gaggle of poorly trained marching bands being supported by a group of wanna-be strip club dancers...a crying shame...no proper band alignment and spacing,,,improper marching by band members, adult-themed dancing moves by the young ladies...THAT was a shame...And folks wonder why the performing arts programs are folding...just watch the video again with a critical eye...a shame....

It’s easy to March in straight lines if your band is big. The smaller brands were spread out more therefore harder to judge if the lines are straight
