2.2 gpm pump came from Rural King, Remco Industries Model 3323 2.2 GPM Demand Pump, I ended up disconnecting the "on demand switch".
Pump mentioned but not used - amzn.to/2OlvJdO
Fittings I picked up in local hardware store, and hose is just vinyl 3/8th clear tubing, also picked up from local hardware store (Menards).
The drum is actually being held at the front of the trailer via ratchet strap, I wanted more weight on the tongue as my tractor can handle the weight better than the trailer.

What an awesome idea! I'm not terribly handy so I wanted to buy a small 15Gal tank pump sprayer and add a boom sprayer to it. This really shows some great ideas for doing just that!
I had the need for something similar, and found myself with essentially the same result. I appreciate that you are a maker and seem keen on recycling. Cheers mate
Great project bro !
I came across this video after trying out a 3 gallon electric pump sprayer I purchased in Costco. It was discounted to $44 and that’s what is worth. Blain’s is selling the Roundup brand of the same sprayer for $133. Not worth it !
I love your project ! You have a nice switch, a pressure gauge, two spray options , and it’s powerful enough to cover some serious acreage !
Thanks for sharing your ideas !
Bravo Zulu! I need a simple build for effecient spraying of food plots.
Wow thanks for sharing! Im going to spray around 5 hectares of mesquite with remedy and diesel in water (emulsion) will build something similar to this!!!
Great video! Appreciated!
I like the idea . I plan on using the 5 gallon bucket of green goblin . I don’t have t tractor or grandpas cart . How much was the liquid gauge? You listed all the parts ? I don’t was to miss anything . Ty
Thank you
How did you connect the filter and the pressure relief valve to the PVC pipe through the 3/4 inch insert coupler? Also what size PVC tubing did you use?
Hello good sir. I'm looking for this exact thing. I want to use it to make a tank full of salt water for killing weeds that keep growing in a long pea rock driveway that doesn't get daily use. Would you possibly be interested in making a build series for this? Something I could follow along to do myself. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the wiring and such. I'm pretty crafty, but I don't think this is a task I could take on with no instruction. I would be willing to pay you for such a series.
I already have a sprayer so it's too late for me but yours would be much easier to store. What would you put the total build cost at not including the trailer?
Right around $100. The most expensive thing was the pump, I payed $47 for it from Rural King. Some stuff I already had.
Where did you find the rocker switch with the magnetic back. I have searched a lot of online sites and no one seems to have this switch. Your answer will be much appreciated thanks
It was just a magnet I found that I zip tied the switch too.
So I gather you are pumping liquid (not air pressuring tank to push liquid). Do you just let the pump run and let the regulator/relief valve handle return of excess or do you turn off switch periodically - thinking whether adding expansion tank would be helpful or not. Thanks.
BTW, notice the cub cadet. I still have old Cub 1811 my grandfather had (but it needs PTO replacement to be reliable).
Yup, we are moving liquid, not air. And I turn the switch off when I do not want to be spraying and turn it back on when I do. :D Technically I don't have a Cadet, though I always thought they were cool! The cadets were all smaller garden tractors. The only thing the Lo Boys share are the colors. :)
How did you connect cables to pump ?.. wouldn’t you need a converter ?
The pump is just 12 volts, so it can be connected directly to the 12 volt battery.
who did you purchase the rocker switch from?
Not sure I know, it was probably something I found in my parts collection. It looks like a contura switch, something like this: amzn.to/3wZHzmq
