UPDATE: This kit works if you replace ALL 6 bushings. If you do not, you will need a thick washer for the mid and back mounts as these are 1/4" thinner than OEM bushings.
I used this kit to replace the body mounts on. 2000 Tundra. As stated, I had to put the thick OEM washer between the cab and the mount to get the correct alignments of the body to the truck bed. Overall, an easy swap.
This kit worked for me on an 05 tundra 4wd. I just had one mount that went bad so that’s all I changed but have the rest if another fails. Just make sure you have plenty of grinding wheels for your dremel. My bolt was a 17 mm and nut was 14 mm which was the only change from the video. Thanks again for the video.
Great video very informative! I have to do the same work on my 2000 Tundra. What kit specific body mount kit did you use? The amazon links did not work. Thanks in advance!
the site for more info doesnt even have toyota tundra as an option. what year and model is the truck your doing in vid. i cant find these bushings for my 05 tundra v8 dc
Is it common to have to change these on an 03 Tundra and why would they need to be changed? With 97k on mine, I’m concerned now. Thanks from New Orleans.
@@DadsGotADeal Thank you. Did you just do the 1 body mount? I also have a limited Tundra (2000). My mounts are pretty rusted and the bushings are looking like crap so I'm looking to replace all of my mounts. But without looking at them I believe the front and rear body mounts are different, so does this setup only work for the rears?
Yooper906 did you ever find the answer? I believe they are the same, but I’ll soon find out because I’m about to do this repair on another truck. Got a serious squeak when I hit a bump turning right.
I just called prothane. They said the don’t make anything for the tundra ? The link you provided says it dosent fit my truck. Can you clarify if this will work on my 2002 Tundra limited access cab 2002. Thanks man.
I’m wondering the same thing now. Did you find anyone that makes kit for gen 1 tundra. I see in comments that he flipped washers, but also see that plate holes don’t align.
@@BSQ802 I went to “pic a part”and grabbed the mounts I needed. It was a horrific pan in the ass. But it was a used factory mount was replacement was done correctly.
@@DadsGotADeal I was just asking because most likely I'm gunna have to cut em out, then I'm just going to replace em with grade 8s. I should be good with 1 inch right?
Damon DeMay text me at (315) 350-6096 so we can go back and forth easier. I believe they are 1/2” bolts. I just did a body lift on my fj cruiser and I bought the bolts at ace hardware. Pretty pricey ($4-5 each). If you cut; just measure the pieces after 🤠
So I was looking into doing this and can't find a listing for parts for my 2006 Tundra. Those parts you used were for a Tacoma. Did they work out okay?
DeClineization yes with our old Tundra’s and their small size they use a lot of the same parts as the Tacoma. Also, all the mounts consist of are giant washers, urethane bushings, and bolts, so you could really use any universal generic kit that has the right thickness.
@@DadsGotADeal Thanks for clarifying. I was reviewing the toyota diagram for the body mounts. There are three positions with one mount on each side. The first position being at the feet of the driver, second position being at the back of the cab and a third position under the bed. It looks like these parts work for the second and third position. Is that right? And thanks for your help.
Just looked again, I think I got mixed up. These mounts are for the four corners of the cab and it looks like there is different part that is further towards the front of the chassis.
DeClineization yes there are 4 identical mounts for the cab corners and 2 small ones near the radiator. There are 2 tiny pyramid rubber pieces at the back of the bed but not essential as far as I can tell. They are helpful for positioning the bed when installing.
@@DadsGotADeal did this work on the tundra you did later on? I have a 2000 tundra access cab sr5 4x4 if that info helps. I just want to make sure before I buy know what I mean? And judging by the door panel trim, it looks like the truck in the video is a tundra.
Damon DeMay yes I installed this on a first gen tundra in the video. If you need parts, I found liftkits4less.com to be inexpensive if you don’t want to use Amazon. I put the links in the video description
Sir, your video is by far the most explicit explanation of how to replace body mounts on the tundra. Thank you.

What are the symptoms that lead you to discover the bad mounts? Was there any vibration or wobble while driving?
Ass and ears. As in the bangs that go up your back and the sounds everyone hears and thinks what's wrong with your truck 😂
Was there a previous clunk with you would let your foot off the break from a red light? If so did this fix the problem?

Same thing for Sequoia?
Hi there to which car was fit for you . Is that tundra ? Or Tacoma?
Mine is the same way so this will make my cab even with my bed

Where did you get those body mounts from? Those are heavy duty.

19sloper it’s a 2000 tundra but a lot of Toyotas share the design.
