Lovely James, beautiful conditions. Cruach Ardrain is an iconic Munro for me - I have no idea how I survived. I was about 17 and leading a 16 year old. We approached from the north on a day well below freezing, but with a very strong west wind making the wind chill somewhere below -20. We moved round to the east of the summit to shelter. I had crampons but my friend didn't so I didn't wear mine to be fair! The east face is very steep and the rock sections were covered in a thin sheen of ice. I cut tiny steps up all of these, very quickly realising there was absolutely no retreat possible. I kept encouraging my friend that it looked a little lighter above whilst knowing that we had 800 feet to go. Somehow we both made it without falling to our deaths. My pal got frostbite, seriously enough that his toes were still black a year later.

Great video. The views certainly came good for you. For southern Munro’s they stand up well.

Just beautiful! These were among my first 20 Munros, before I'd even started bagging. I really enjoyed the walk, despite relentless rain and mist with no views. The fish supper afterwards at Mhor84 tasted amazing. I've always wondered what the views looked like! Definitely worth a return trip sometime.

When you get to Beinn Chabhair park at the Drovers Inn. Not only do you get a nice interesting steep bit at the start (let's ignore the boggy long mess in the middle) but when you come back you get to have a cracking fish and chips.

Here we go again. Weather man James!! 😂 . I don't know how you do it my friend, always blessed with the weather. Great video as usual, fantastic views. Can't wait till you bag An Tellach. Do you think you'll take a mate with you on that one? Monster walk in, so might require maximum daylight. Cheers,Ozzy.

Haha I was very lucky again 🤣 An Teallach might be my last one so might have a few people with me for that one! Looking forward to it anyway. Cheers, James

Another cracking video pal. It's been a few years since I've been up these two... but I remember thoroughly enjoying them. I also remember thinking how could they possibly be two different Munros with such little drop between them. Well done and all the best on your Munro journey... I am very much enjoying watching your progress. ATB, Calum x

Excellent work again James and amazing views as always!
Had the pleasure of attempting Beinn Chabhair on a rainy evening and would highly endorse your plan for leaving that later in the year! Head-torches through an hour of bog isn't the best munro experience!

James........How do you do it????? I've said it before. You are Mr Sunshine when it come to baggin Munro's!
These two if I was to do them again, I'd do them as a 'T" going up and down your decent path. The path up Cruach Adrian I feel was very good and to be honest we put too much trust in the Walk Highlands gpx route.
Anyway......you've done it again!!! Showing Scotland off at her finest and getting the weather..... yet again. 😊🌤 Thanks for taking us along for the journey. G

I cycled in to do Beinn Chabhair for the South side and it was fine, no boggy bits, though as you say, reputation when coming from the North.
    Good luck 🍀

Great video as always James - Managed to get back up a munro for the first time this year after having Pericarditis which put me out of pretty much all excercise for about 6 months last year.. was a real pain in the arse but had to take it easy as it was taking its time to shift.. watching your videos always gives me the buzz to get out on the hills, even more so now that I can get back up them again! Excited to start ticking them off again 🙌
Do you always rely on Met Office or do you ever use any other websites, I feel that Mountain Forecast pretty much always shows a different forecast to Met Office so I don’t know how reliable it is at all.. think i’ll be relying on Met Office going forward. I know there is also the MWIS website too

Hi James, a question: did you see a flat-ish area on the way up Tulaichean that would be suitable for a wild camp? On the OS map it looks like there's a decent spot about 200m from the summit?
Thanks for the vid, great work as always. D

Great video, I did these two overnight a few years ago with the aim to catch the sunrise from the top, misjudged my timing though and ended up doing the entire walk in darkness only to see the sun come up on the drive home 🙄
