I just met my soulmate a year and a half ago. We just clicked immediately as there was this strong connection from the start. However, we were just friends back then. It took us half a year to get closer and another six months to start dating and now, another six plus months later, we became a couple. I fell for him a long time ago as well as he did for me. Our relationship is based on a very close friendship, mutual trust and respect. I think this foundation is what makes this relationship feel so incredibly special. I've never had any easy going conversation with someone, but also it feels like it's right with most of the people I was with, There's also that one guy I was with for 6 months I felt like I've always knew him, we respected each other, it was never forced, ironic..... This is exactly how I feel about somebody I just met on Bumble. We always have the best conversations and when it goes silent, we do things like lay under trees and we smile at each other, simply enjoying each others company. We think the exact same way and we have the exact same values and qualities. We just feel 100% comfortable all the time and we always have a good laugh, we can be ourselves around each other and not hold back. Everything comes so naturally. We have open communication and speak what’s on our mind and how we’re feeling and we can empathise with each other. We keep mentioning how it feels like we have known each other for so much longer than we’ve actually known each other (almost a month now). It is a really cool feeling, I’ve never felt this type of connection with somebody before. It just feels… perfect? Although I don’t believe in things being “perfect,” but I guess the best word to use is that it feels so right and purposeful. Also keep in mind too that yes it can also be friendships. However don’t be in such a rush to want to date them or feel pressure to develop particular feelings towards them. Everybody is different and works at their own pace. Enjoy the process of building a friendship first, that’s how the best relationships will last 😊🙏

I THOUGHT someone was my soulmate. But he wasn't. He broke my heart. So that left me kind of disillusioned... And also, hurt and traumatized! I guess I still believe we were meant to meet, to learn some difficult lessons from each other, though.. But still, do I currently feel like it was worth it..? Not really. I think some people are just not fit for each other, and even if they commit will not be actually happy with each other. But you have a point about not just waiting, and actually doing something and taking a chance. And there have to be some level of commitment even during dating (not constantly jumping from one person to the next if what you look for is a long term relationship), otherwise you never get the chance to truly get to know each other and bond over time
I met my soulmate in college. I've met thousands of people and never once felt so connected to anyone in my life it was a love untrue. It's extremely hard to describe. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him. Which is wired because I don't particularly believe in such things.
I thought I had my soulmate. She was my best friend since the day I met her. I met her when we were both at our darkest and we both stopped each other from doing things that wouldn't let us live anymore to put it short. It continued felt like nothing was gonna tear us apart. I think I've met my soulmate. There's this one online friend of mine who's I've been dating with for a while now :] We always contact eachother on a daily basis, we like to talk about random things and to be honest, chatting with her feels much better than with anyone. Yeah we might fight sometimes, but we were able to sort it out and talk about it. Me and my current partner I recently met it was an instant recognition but didn't know each other. Lol Minecraft and Dating is odd trend these days 😂 Btw I'm young too, and doan't know everything. So take whatever you read with a pinch of salt. You've mentioned that you trust him a lot, a lot more that your parent. But do you know for certain that he trust you the same way. If you doubt your trust, you "might" be blindly trusting him. Secondly, i feel you should build more trust with your parents first. If you plan to be with him for life, your parents will eventually know. Thirdly, having feelings for someone is not bound by age. Yes, some parents are against dating so early on, cause they feel that you may be immature. Which may or may not be true. And fourthly, the most important point. When you have a soulmate, there is already a gut feeling which is mutual. If you are unsure about his feelings too, he might not be your soulmate (Which doesn't mean you should give up on him) I've never confessed my feelings to people I've crushed on, and I've definitely wished i had. So if i were you, i would confess my feelings. If he likes you too, you will feel lot more comfortable talking about the problem you have. If he doesn't share the same feeling, then don't worry. There is always someone will come in your life at the right place at the right time.
Very interesting topic. I’ve recently been in a Christian camp as a leader and there was another leader (girl of course) that I liked the first day. And I also noticed that every time I entered the church her face started getting noticeably red. The thing is that I live very far away from the village where my grandma lives (and where she lives) but still think about her. Will never have one. Time for that has gone and nowadays it's difficult to find someone to talk and trust. (Thought had one when I was young but turn out he was just using me for something else. That hurt like hell and had a hard time getting over it.) That's why it's not for me anymore.
I definitely believe in soulmates. I'm waiting to find my romantic one, but I have a best friend that I would consider as a soulmate (they're already taken, and I'm okay with that because we have a strong friendship & nothing further than that; we first encountered each other on an online fansite in the 2000s & we've been friends ever since, even meeting up a couple of times!). I feel that everyone has a friend-soulmate AND a romantic soulmate in life... and that it's okay if they may be different people. I hope we can all find that sort of person/people in our own life journeys!
I havent felt any of these yet so i dont think ive found my soulmate yet but will have to keep a lookout for said soulmate they are out there just have to be patient and eventually they will pop up in my life
I met my soulmate 3 months ago. We where at a camp from scouting with 4000 people, and she came up to me and spoke to me. It was as if I knew her my whole life the second we talked. She asked me to be her girlfriend a week after camp, and I said yes. I have a lot of issues, but in the time I've known her I feel better then ever, and she feels the same way. We have the same mind and same thoughts and I couldn't meet a sweeter person :)
I don’t believe in a soulmate necessarily but I 100% believe we have soul connections. I feel like people use soulmate as a “you complete me” thing when with a soul connection we are two complete individuals that have an undeniable energetic connection and understanding. I have this connection with my best friend of 18 years and just this past year found this connection with someone romantically. It is unique and special when we find it but for it to thrive it still requires nurturing that connection. 🤗

I think some of the problem is not giving it the test of time and see how your relationship holds up when youre no longer newly in love and only see the good sides of your partner. Some of the passionate feelings naturally fade over time. And if you haven't tried living under the same roof over time, you dont know what that will actually be like versus hanging out on occasion. I think one should never commit for real before that.

So, question: what happens if the "soulmate" thing feels "right" to one person, but not the other? I've had two separate people think I was their special someone when all I wanted to do was work with them on a project. One of them outright used the term "soulmate." This second person, by the way, is a total "yes man" type who thinks supporting someone means "everything you do/say is genius." I've told them at least twice that this type of support is poison to any kind of artist (and probably people in general). I have every reason to think that this is because of infatuation/an unbalanced relationship that they just DO NOT see because of the whole soulmate thing. How do you tell them that the connection isn't mutual? And what do you do if someone gives you this kind of unilateral support that doesn't help anybody grow?

I am not sure at all those are the signs of finding a soul mate. Those are common signs of someone being good together. In these months, I think I found a soul mate, but for other reasons: We walk on the same life paths, but in different years; We are very similar; We say the same sentences about things, when we are not toghether ; We have the same kind of family issues; We don't know each other that well, yet, but we are in the same places at the very same moment for a little while, as everything wants us to be closer. I felt him deep in my body even when we were distant, as an invisible force was connecting us. My body was actually shaking and I was not controlling it, it came from him, from his thoughts. When I'm with a very important person for both of us, she speaks about him when she is with me, and about me when she is with him; I wrote poems about him, and he appears in the street in that very moment. I love talking to him when we are alone,he listens to me, asks about me, and he tells me a lot about his life and choices. Last but not least, I feel his soul from the first moments I met him.. I feel our souls are touching and communicating one with the other.

I think that goes outside the very definition of a soulmate. It has to be a mutual relationship to a someone (maybe an animal can be included). Not just anything you like or even love. But I think you can spiritually connect to a song, artwork and similar, beyond just the normal liking. In my case that song is "wind of change", it makes me feel more than any other song like it connects to my previous life and events I actually experienced even though the direct memory is lost

Also keep in mind too that yes it can also be friendships. However don’t be in such a rush to want to date them or feel pressure to develop particular feelings towards them. I think some people are just not fit for each other, and even if they commit will not be actually happy with each other. But you have a point about not just waiting, and actually doing something and taking a chance. And there have to be some level of commitment even during dating (not constantly jumping from one person to the next if what you look for is a long term relationship), otherwise you never get the chance to truly get to know each other and bond over time

I thought I had my soulmate. She was my best friend since the day I met her. I met her when we were both at our darkest and we both stopped each other from doing things that wouldn't let us live anymore to put it short. It continued felt like nothing was gonna tear us apart. We tried dating but to many things kept us apart so we stayed as best friends which we were both happy with. Till she slowly started drifting away more and more till I'd go months without any sign. Recently it completely came to an end she's disappeared off of every social media platform and I haven't been able to find anything about what's happened.

You've mentioned that you trust him a lot, a lot more that your parent. But do you know for certain that he trust you the same way. If you doubt your trust, you "might" be blindly trusting him.
Secondly, i feel you should build more trust with your parents first. If you plan to be with him for life, your parents will eventually know.
Thirdly, having feelings for someone is not bound by age. Yes, some parents are against dating so early on, cause they feel that you may be immature. Which may or may not be true.
And fourthly, the most important point. When you have a soulmate, there is already a gut feeling which is mutual. If you are unsure about his feelings too, he might not be your soulmate (Which doesn't mean you should give up on him)
I've never confessed my feelings to people I've crushed on, and I've definitely wished i had.
So if i were you, i would confess my feelings. If he likes you too, you will feel lot more comfortable talking about the problem you have. If he doesn't share the same feeling, then don't worry. There is always someone will come in your life at the right place at the right time.

I met my soulmate 3 months ago. We where at a camp from scouting with 4000 people, and she came up to me and spoke to me. It was as if I knew her my whole life the second we talked. She asked me to be her girlfriend a week after camp, and I said yes. I have a lot of issues, but in the time I've known her I feel better then ever, and she feels the same way. I think some of the problem is not giving it the test of time and see how your relationship holds up when youre no longer newly in love and only see the good sides of your partner. Some of the passionate feelings naturally fade over time. And if you haven't tried living under the same roof over time, you dont know what that will actually be like versus hanging out on occasion. I think one should never commit for real before that.

So, question: what happens if the "soulmate" thing feels "right" to one person, but not the other? I've had two separate people think I was their special someone when all I wanted to do was work with them on a project. One of them outright used the term "soulmate."
This second person, by the way, is a total "yes man" type who thinks supporting someone means "everything you do/say is genius." I've told them at least twice that this type of support is poison to any kind of artist (and probably people in general). I have every reason to think that this is because of infatuation/an unbalanced relationship that they just DO NOT see because of the whole soulmate thing.
How do you tell them that the connection isn't mutual? And what do you do if someone gives you this kind of unilateral support that doesn't help anybody grow?

In these months, I think I found a soul mate, but for other reasons:
We walk on the same life paths, but in different years;
We are very similar;
We say the same sentences about things, when we are not toghether ;
We have the same kind of family issues;
We don't know each other that well, yet, but we are in the same places at the very same moment for a little while, as everything wants us to be closer.
I felt him deep in my body even when we were distant, as an invisible force was connecting us. My body was actually shaking and I was not controlling it, it came from him, from his thoughts.
When I'm with a very important person for both of us, she speaks about him when she is with me, and about me when she is with him;
I wrote poems about him, and he appears in the street in that very moment.
I love talking to him when we are alone,he listens to me, asks about me, and he tells me a lot about his life and choices.
Last but not least, I feel his soul from the first moments I met him.. I feel our souls are touching and communicating one with the other.

I think that goes outside the very definition of a soulmate. It has to be a mutual relationship to a someone (maybe an animal can be included). Not just anything you like or even love. But I think you can spiritually connect to a song, artwork and similar, beyond just the normal liking. In my case that song is "wind of change", it makes me feel more than any other song like it connects to my previous life and events I actually experienced even though the direct memory is lost

While saying good- bye to his friends he recollected asking one of them some very usual everyday question, and being much interested in the answer. Then having bade farewell, he embarked upon those two minutes which he had allotted to looking into himself; he knew beforehand what he was going to think about. He wished to put it to himself as quickly and clearly as possible, that here was he, a living, thinking man, and that in three minutes he would be nobody; or if somebody or something, then what and where? He thought he would decide this question once
for all in these last three minutes. A little way off there stood a church, and its gilded spire glittered in the sun. He remembered staring stubbornly at this spire, and at the rays of light sparkling from it. He could not tear his eyes from these rays of light; he got the idea that these rays were his new nature, and that in three minutes he would become one of them, amalgamated somehow with them. ‘The repugnance to what must ensue almost immediately, and the uncertainty, were dreadful, he said; but worst of all was the idea, ‘What should I do if I were not to die now? What if I were to return to life again? What an eternity of days, and all mine! How I should grudge and count up every minute of it, so as to waste not a single instant!’ He said that this thought weighed so upon him and became such a terrible burden upon his brain that he could not bear it, and wished they would shoot him quickly and have done with it.’ ¹
