Thanks Charlie, another great video as always.. I enjoy watching your videos for inspiration to do more solo Munros. Did Ben vorlich my 5th Munro a few weeks ago with my two dogs at lochearnhead. Always enjoy your helpful and informative videos of your Munros. Thank you 😊
Hi Corina, Its terrific you take inspiration to get out and benefit from the great outdoors. It's always something I've done for years and enjoy the health benefits that comes with getting into the hills. I wish you have clear tops as you continue your Munro journey. Cheers
Hi Andy, As you’ll know, it was one of these winter days that was a joy to be out without fighting the elements. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie
Hi Andrew, I can understand why you love this top. We've seen it in many varied conditions but its always an enjoyable day. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 cheers really enjoy your films. We had beautiful golden sunshine up Glen Fyne before cutting up left up the gorge, over the hydro track then up onto the summit. Saw a guy parascend off. One of our best days so its great to see it here.
Hi Ian, It was great to take the opportunity of a settled weather window for our outing. Its a bonnie top with terrific views and ideal for the short winter days. Cheers, Charlie.
What a first rate day for your walk. Stunning long distance views. I guess an ideal walk in winter re not a lengthy one in terms of time yet very rewarding.
Hi Charles, These single Munros are ideal for a winter walk providing they aren't miles from the road. Typically a 5-6hr day is about right for the short days. Cheers, Charlie.
I had this idea that there would be more snow on the tops but as I live on the south coast of England I am well out of touch with where there might be snow, I guess there is probably more further north and to the east?
Hello, I understand that Beinn Bhuidhe is simply derived from the Gaelic for "yellow hill" but not sure what is actually referring to with regards to the landscape. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Another cracking video Charlie..Always wanted to do this one ..Probably the only one I’ve not done in the area..Considering taking the bike down to the starting point..I think it’s roughly 6km from Loch Fyne…Loved the video.
Hello, The guide books certainly give options for biking down the estate road which should shorten the walking time. I've only ever used the route above as its the most direct with views opening up quickly on the ascent. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Dave, The conditions are pretty localised at the moment with the north seeing heavy snow over the last few days. It tends not to last long with temperatures varying through the weeks. Its early days yet... we'll see. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, another lovely video and superb views from the summit, I cycled in and back and you still smashed my time, I’ll be calling you Charlie Duracell 🤣🤣 Look forward to your next hike. ATB Frank.
Hi Paul, That's a pity but always better to turn back if things get wild. The winter walking is a lot more challenging where simple ground in summer can become very tricky if iced up. Reacting to weather changes is also a vital lesson and one that can't be ignored in these short winter days. Cheers, Charlie
Hi Charlie. Fantastic video on such a beautiful day. Going to take the bike up to the ponds and then hike up to the summit from there. I was wondering which camera you use? The footage is great.
Only done this the once, on a muggy summer day. We cut off he track to the middle of the ridge which seemed quite craggy. Something dead in the woods on the way back. Dreadful stench. That new building is actually an old one re-developed, is it not? Thanks again.
Hi Geoffrey, Not sure about the building as it was 5 years since the last visit. There are also houses in the same area that appeared quite new but its probably my memory that's the issue. I'll have a look back at the photo archive and see if I captured footage during the last trip. Cheers, Charlie.
Nice one Charlie :) Still no bagged that one yet been meaning to for the last 9 years right enough ha ha :) Charlie the new hydro path is that the now more accepted route up and down now? Heard a lot of walkers complaining about it.
Peter, Not sure about the hydro path but noticed a track snakes up towards the Munro from the two ponds at 02:42. The track we used is good access to the ponds without being ridiculous. Cheers, Charlie.
That looks like a good route Charlie, I took the longer road in via the brewary and up left at the old house. I took the hydro path down Peter thinking it would be quicker but it was awful esp on the knees, very loose and steep at parts. Hopefully u'll get it ticked off this year Peter - Charlie look forward to ur next outing. I'm keeping an eye the next decent weather window.
@@selwynmccausland4085 Yeah the route you took up Selwyn is the one i had in mind. I was aware of the hydro path because people seem to have a bad opinion on it. Aye its on the list this year :)

Great views as always. I've done a search but so far can't find an explanation for the name 'Yellow Mountain.'
