I have never been interested in rap music, but I wanted to understand this guy so I listened to several of his interviews. ASAP Rocky is street smart, intelligent, and humble. He is intentional about his goals and what he really wants. He is also family oriented. He has great personal qualities. He is a keeper.
This is a great interview. It’s rare that an interviewer makes their guest comfortable enough to be this vulnerable. I really respect his candour, that he seemed to listen intently and offered really interesting answers. This for sure may be the best interview he’s done. Thanks for sharing!
The interviewer should do a follow-up interview since it's been almost ten years later. This was a good insightful interview. I'm sure Rocky has evolved since this interview. I'm sure fans would love an update

I like asap he's actually down to earth since it seems like everyone else that is famous tries to tell you what to do but they don't remember how REAL people are still living out in this world! For real!
Such a humble soul...he allowed his past whether good or bad, fuel him to greatness and never forgot where he came from and wants to make a change to help others and I love his perspective on all things...this was very refreshing.
I just started to get into Rocky after TESTING and I’m really happy I became curious about his persona after watching interviews. He’s extremely in tune with his image and how to use it and even though all artists have that feeling, I love Rocky’s approach towards it. When he talked about Michael Jackson it made me all the more happier when I related with the fact that the media did kill him. I have good intentions for his character through the arts.
I use to listen to Rocky in his younger years and then fell off it. Only recently I watched his interview at Oxford and I have gained so much motivation and respect for this man. This man and Santan Dave need to link up.
I remember when I was a kid asap Rocky was my favorite artist, when I heard no limit on the radio, and ever since that night I’ve been trying to chase my dream, I’m sure what I’m chasing for is far out of my reach but Ik that I will stay true to myself and the very little people that support me

This is my first time seeing this video; I didn’t know who ASAP Rocky was until I began to follow him because of his relationship with Rihanna; but I see that my impression of this young man was right on point; I’ve always said that ASAP Rocky has depth: intelligence, vision, creativity and exudes confidence; now I’ve learned that he’s even deeper; he seems to be very in-tuned with his life experiences and uses them as a way to grow as a person and ambassador of unity and inclusivity. It would have been so easy for him to have said f**k y’all I’m doing me; y’all never gave me anything even in my youth (like an equal education and respect and mentorship from those in authority - his teaches and administrators); I feel very inspired by you ASAP Rocky; keep the course; continuing to be the best of you; you are making a difference and I believe you will continue to have great opportunities and platforms to change peoples perspectives about judging others; and inclusivity;

This is a very raw interview, he seemed so much more humble and woke here, kind of a shame how it seems ego has kinda changed that now. I still respect him as a person, but he's different.

I was going to say, it's sad seeing Rocky like this.. but everyone loses their parents eventually. It seems like he got a lot of perspective from losing his father- his career ended up being legendary so it all worked out I guess. Wild that I'm just now coming across this interview 10 years later.
