Pauls singing in the eighties was top notch. Unlimited range and power.

His singing wasn’t great, but in this era, yeah he had it. 😊😊
it was a beast
He looked great, too.

It's unfair for those generations who have not experienced the 80's, please we need another 80's era again :(

The unmasked era has some great songs
He meant from when they didn't have make up
i must agree, even though i don't really like this song. i do think kiss made some of their best music without their makeup in the 80s.
Zillaman67 i am envious of everyone that got to either grow up or be young during the 70s and 80s, the golden years of hard rock. were you into KISS? how about ace frehley's solo stuff from the 80s?
Zillaman67
I know I would've loved this song as a kid in the early 90s if I'd heard it then. I'm shocked it wasn't a huge hit, since Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Poison were huge in 1987
Ace Frehley so true frehley is god
KISS always makes me happy

One of KISS’s most underrated songs
agreed. took me a while to realize how good it is
Shit, I miss the 80's. I'm 42 and all I listen to is 80's hair metal. Great times!
Likewise! I'm 44 and I, too, STILL listen to '80s rock/metal! In my opinion, for some (people), UNFORTUNATELY, THEY look at MUSIC the way jr. high and/or high school students look at their individual status. In other words, some people look at music like it's a "popularity contest!" In my opinion, THOSE people are "missing the point!" In my opinion, music, to ME, is about "feeling/emotion, individuality, and being the voice that I'll never have."
I’m 41 and listen to 80s metal all the time!!! I loved it then and still love it now, reminds me of so many happy times and that to me is what music is about, music curates your life. Different eras in your life are defined by the music you was listening to and everybody has certain songs or bands they attach to certain times in their lives.
I guess something is wrong with me then. I'm 28 and listen to 80s metal all the time... even though I was not around to experience it in person. I do however go to 80s rock events whenever I can at local bars, pubs and clubs and it enjoy those the most. Last weekend there was another "poser rock night". My friend who is my age and I are usually the youngest people who are around but we have so much fun. They played 'tears are falling' from kiss last time i was there :)
I am 11 I love kiss so much my dad went to this concert
Im 45 and im livin my life 80's style , you cant kill rock n' roll
One of the happiest songs ever recorded. Been a fan since 1980 (four years old). This one just works for me...There is a shot at 2:44 of Eric Carr...the joy on his face...Being in a band with your friends onstage...I feel that with my bands too.
Congrats. The spike in "Most Replayed" is right where you asked everyone to look :)
my thoughts exactly he was so happy you could see it in his expression 🙂

I've been a fan of KISS SINCE the mid 70s,in my teens and they are AWESOME AND THE BADDEST
Eighties was the best decade to be a teenager. Great music, hot girls, the future had promise and possibilities. Streets were safe. Finally the Berlin wall came down. So much optimism in the air.
The 1980's was such a fantastic time. The music, the movies, the clothes, the total positive atmosphere that anything was possible. I had the time of my life in the 1980's. I wouldn't trade 1 day of my time in the 1980's for a year in the present. If I could go back and do it all again, I would do it in a heartbeat. I got to live my youth in the best decade ever. Wish I could go back and stay there.
How come this song never became a classic, like "Livin on a prayer"?
I was 17 when this album was released. I loved it.
That's what I wanted to say to the world in 1987-1988. KISS was underrated during 1981 - 1989. Even though they wrote good songs, they didn't become hit songs. Forever finally became a big hit suddenly and unnaturally.
I was 12 when Kiss released Crazy Nights. It was the very first Kiss album I ever owned, and this was the track that made me pick it up. It was not much of a hit and I only saw the video on MTV a few times, but man it is special to me.
Good question!
Livin on a Prayer is one of the most overrated songs of all time. It doesn't even make my top 100 80s list.
1980s KISS is tragically underrated. great song from an often overlooked era of the band

Maybe their most underrated song. How wasn't it a hit?
If there was any justice in the world, this would have gone to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100...
Probably because, rightly or wrongly 'Crazy crazy nights' had far bigger appeal as a hit single. It was a tough act to follow.
This is CLOSE but I think 'Who wants to be lonely" takes the cake for underrated GEMS

This song instantly gets me in a great mood. Such a great song.
I know! I don't know what it is, but there's just something about '80s rock that immediately feels big, expansive, and optimistic to me. The decade's stereotype culture was all about success and MONEY!, but beyond that, with the music it's something about the types of notes and tunes, chords, production...it just seems grand and sweeping and like you can do ANYthing and let's go on an ADVENTURE!

Sometimes I wish I could travel back in time and see them in their glory of the 80s. Sadly that was before my time!
Eric had the best drum solo on the Crazy Nights Tour, I have ever seen to this day! He had these drum sticks that glowed and the lights dimmed and all you could see was these lights moving back and forth so fast. I wish there was footage of his drum solo from that tour on youtube. Also, on this tour, there was no "You wanted the best, you've got the best", it was just Paul coming out on stage and saying, "We're going to kick your ass" and they open with Love Gun, strange song to open with, but different. Also, 80's KISS were Super LOUD! My ears for ringing for two days!

I used to hear it as You got what I want, I got what you need, You don’t want my poop, I don’t want your pee. 😒 I know what he’s saying now though.
Crazy Nights was such a underrated Kiss album. Some people didn't like 80s Kiss, but I loved it. To me Kiss was the greatest "ATHEM BAND" of all time. So many songs that were "stand up and shout them" type of songs and 80s Kiss had so many of them. Kiss wrote great songs that didn't make you want "kill" or "break something" when you heard them. You wanted to smile, have fun, and actually feel good when listened to 80s Kiss. That is why I label them as "Party Rock".
mrhoffame I grew up with the 70s Kiss then I started listening to other bands when the Elder came out. This album Crazy nights brought me back to Kiss! I love every song on it and I feel this album gets overlooked now but its really damn good!
My most favorite Album! Got to see them in LaCrosse Wi, then Rochester Mn the following week! Great songs, great times, great Album!

I never understood how this was not a huge hit. It's the best song off Crazy Nights and has top ten written all over it. Somehow, it got overlooked. Shame.
awesome song writing in the eighties however toooo many good eighties bands to compete against
I agree with Joe. This is a good average 80's song, but back then there were many manufactured artists or even real artists putting out really catchy well produced songs for radio play.
Apparently Kiss never played it live. They weren't too proud of this era, fuck knows why I love it
It did well on MTV and VH1, but their marketing agency was lazy and radio at that time NEVER played KISS.
Why? Because the industry was pushing people like Madonna, and English MTV B rated bands and Michael Jackson, you know, shit basically.....
This era of KISS was so underrated.

Absolutely. When I was 16 (about 1987) THE must have albums that everyone had to own where, Appetite for destruction, Hysteria, and for the true Metal fans Master Of Puppets and Among The living. Jesus where the did it all go wrong?
Nigel Buck Can you say "grunge?" In my opinion, as an '80s rock/metal fan, myself, I was disappointed to see HOW MANY other or fellow '80s rock/metal fans let "the bad apple (grunge) spoil the barrel ('80s rock/metal music and parties!) "
