I'm kind of a city slicker but I'm house sitting for a friend for a few days and he lives out in the country with a few ponds. I love me some bass, but I didn't know how to clean or cook it. This video helped a lot. Thanks
My auntie taught me how to make fried chicken with mustard never thought about using mustard to fry fish. I will definitely do it next time. Also she added freshly minced garlic in her mustard and a little cilantro. Great now I'm getting hungry great video.
Tony - BIG MISTAKE - I watched this video with my morning coffee and I'm already starving for some fried fish! (1st post) watched many of your videos in the past. Wife and I just went to ACK yesterday, renting our first hobie next weekend! Can't wait.
Thanks for showing us how to clean and cook the bass. I must admit though, I've been bass fishing for 30 years and have never kept a bass to eat. However, I may have to keep a couple this year just to try your recipe. I know I'll try it on catfish and on some bream and crappie this spring. C'mon
sameold77 Oh wow, I've been eating bass all my life! But maybe that's because I'm a Louisiana boy lol. Let me know how your fish turn out. Thanks for watching!
Your video made me hungry great video tony. Thanks for sharing. Ill have to try your recipe. Sponge bob caught some nice bsss. Lol. Keep those shows coming. Tight lines my friend.
Hey now that is awesome way to cook fish, but try some Louisiana hot sauce with the mustard that good. You can also use Italian salad dressing. It works well too. Keep catchin' um.
sure looks good tony, wish i had smellavision on my laptop sure would have made it better.i have the same fillet board and i pinch the fillet tails in the claw part and the knife slides down the skin like butter and does not slip out of your fingers, as always great video.
ernie Thanks ernie! I guess I've got used to not using that claw part of the board... A real convenient tool is a 6" piece of wood mop handle with a beer bottle cap nailed to the end of it.. The cap will hold the skin down nicely while you fillet the fish.. Used to have one years ago.. I guess I'm gonna have to make me another one! C'mon!
You can also use that extra oil for candle oil, if you want. Obviously not in your house. Fun split orange peel candles are awesome. Unused olive oil orange peel candles, yep! Try it...
Hey Johelc2412 ! No need to tell the people that don't eat bass , that they don't know what they are missing. No,no! quit the opposite. Let them believe what they want to about eating bass. That's OK. You know why? >>>> More bass for us to eat!! Lol!
I'll have to try this. I've eaten bass before but it's always been fishy. People up here in wisconsin tend to avoid largemouth bass for eating. I figured it had to be better than carp, and it was but still fishy.
Yes! I did! My heart sank! I had to go to the psychologist to make sure I was OK! He gave me a bunch of drugs so that I could calm down and told me that I could go back to work in a month.
i guess us Louisiana boys don't know the difference c'mon. I'm also from Louisiana Ben eating bass all my life too. so what part of Louisiana are you from?
It is true at least according to my grandma who makes the best salmon head soup ever, anyway I like your channel and I was hoping you could check out my channel. thanks
Hey Venture Tube! Normally I would just let this one go but not this time. You made one very serious mistake! Once you use a cheap vegetable oil for a deep fry (taking it up to 350 degrees or more)YOU DO NOT USE THAT OIL AGAIN!!!!!! Why? Because that oils molecular structure has completely deformed and if you use it again , it becomes canceress to the bone! Vegetable oil is canceress to begin with but if you reuse it , not only the frying will take longer and your food will be much more saturated with the oil but you are asking to bring on the big "C". Peanut oil , on the other hand , will not go to shit after a deep fry and can be reused several time before it goes to shit. I've allready done my research and I invite you to do the same . Other than that , great Video!! MMMMhhhh C'MONNN!!
First you take the fish to a fish doctor and get a permission to kill it, then you must take the fish to a fish psychologist to get psychological evaluation to see if the fish is fit for the undertaking..Then you must have the fish wright up a farewell note to all of his buddy fish. Then you must hypnotize the fish and while it's hypnotized WWHAMM!! You kill it!
Great tutorial. Thanks for going slow and explaining so well.
No problem! Hope it helped!
You are the man! I'm going fishing in the morning and I'll definitely try the mustard, C'mon!

The bass don’t taste fishy at all when you cook them like this. Could be the body of water too. Thanks for watching!
Did anyone else see the fish to the right move his fin when he touched its gills?
Yes!
North Louisiana. Bastrop, Monroe area
That's how I do it as well. I always bleed them out first.
Fuck yah man. Good shit
The Unhealthy way is always better!!C'mon!
The Brew Tank I agree with you 100%...but my stomach doesn't hehe!!
They think its a da'gum chicken nugget, hahaha!
I throw my fish heads and guts in the garbage behind publix
matt martn 😂
Nobody ever wants to help me.😆
Can't get those hands dirty! lol
A good way to get rid of the fishy taste is to let the fillet soak in salt water over night
good tip! I've also soaked them in milk before. works great!
I'll have to try that sometime well anyways I love your videos keep up the good work
I'm sorry Anarchy Su your statement is very wrong!!! It does the opposite! Milk is the answer to this issue. Make a note of it. You'll thank me later.
i didn't know there was any other way to cook fish lol
ernie LOL!
It is true at least according to my grandma who makes the best salmon head soup ever, anyway I like your channel and I was hoping you could check out my channel. thanks
I liked the video, but if I eat fish I want it to taste like fish.
I'm from the future
is that cat dead?

how do you humanly kill the fish before you fillet it?
throw them on ice
First you take the fish to a fish doctor and get a permission to kill it, then you must take the fish to a fish psychologist to get psychological evaluation to see if the fish is fit for the undertaking..Then you must have the fish wright up a farewell note to all of his buddy fish. Then you must hypnotize the fish and while it's hypnotized WWHAMM!! You kill it!
A solid knock on the head should dispatch the fish . Or just let it sit in a bucket with no water, its quick enough
why are people not bleeding these fish? it ruins the flavor...i mean if you like muddy flavored fish, that's all you...
Nothing muddy about sir. Tastes amazing!
no not the skin
just clean the damn fish
you ain't gotta holla at me foo
