Those were the sentiments of Bob Marley, a man who believed that music had the power to bring us all closer together in peace and unity. Even if you are not a fan of reggae, you still know who Bob Marley was and chances are that you still like a few of his songs. Marley took a new and innovative sound that was mostly confined to the concert halls and radio waves of Jamaica and used it to create music that became not only international but timeless.

@@HaydenHamptonthis wasn't his channel. It was owned by a man named Shelly (or something like that I forgot) he died. So the channel went to his daughter. Simon left the channel due to his daughter being a horrible boss (she admitted to this)

Saw Marley in concert in LA-- loved his music.
This is equivalent to when you had a favorite teacher in middle school, then go to high school and see a new teacher who you could grow fond of. I am sending positive vibes for this channel as it's one of my favorite history channels on UA-cam.

I appreciate the respect shown from both sides during this transition, and as a huge fan of Simon, I have to admit that Karl is doing a better job of filling his shoes than I first expected .

Please bring back Simon. I understand there are too many channels now for just him to handle, but I think I speak for like 99% of the people here when I say we’d rather Simon keep hosting Biographics. Personality, I’d like him to continue hosting this channel, along with Geographics, Warographics, Megaprojects, and Side Projects. I don’t mind if other people take over the other channels.

I've watched these channels with Simon for years, and seeing another face on them is going to be weird as heck. Although it helps that it's a familiar one being that I very much enjoy Fact Fiend as well. That being said Karl did a great job, and I'm sure Simon will continue to be great on the (many) other channels he hosts. I'll definitely be sticking around.

Before The Meg 2 yesterday, a trailer played for a movie about Bob Marley.
Bob Marley was the first report I did in 9nth Grade and I found his life fascinating while I researched him.

Listen< I will always be a Simon Whistler fan-boy and be proud of it...but putting that aside, I watched this from what I hope is an objective point of view...I found Karl an engaging bloke with whom I'm sure it's a pleasure to share a pint and some conversation, but I also found his approach too informal for the nature of the subject matter and past disposition of this channel...
That being said I will remain subscribed for the time being and will gladly hit "play" on videos that interest me...

Bob's music always had (and has) qualities that extend far beyond the notes and chords. There's a spirituality, resilience and pride. For me, I find a certain calm that his music envelops me with, and 4 decades on it still works. Thanks for this episode.
You mentioned football. What Americans call soccer. However, it was actually the British that first coined the term soccer. Ultimately they went back and started referring to it as football again. It is a common misconception that Americans coined the term soccer.
