Whistler Bike Park Suspension Tuning Using a ShockWiz

Setting up suspension can be tricky, especially for Paul the Punter. Fortunately, Mike Kazimer from Pinkbike's tech team knows his way around suspension, and they hit the Whistler Bike Park during Crankworx to figure out some changes that could be made to his suspension. They tuned Paul's fork and shock using a Quarq ShockWiz, and ended up with a much improved setup.

Specialized make a floor pump for suspension. My local shop uses one, pumps up forks and shocks ridiculously fast and easy.

Good video but I wish all the settings you have changed between laps were written somewhere clearly on the screen. Thank you, it helps me understand a little bit more about settings. Can't wait for bike season and be as stocked as Paul when I'll find the good settings :D !!

so if you're out trail riding, and you do a lap and it recommends adding volume spacers, you have to do this while you're out on the trail?

Just a recommendation not a demand. You can add them when you get home or if you have a ramp control cartridge then you can just dial in the progressivism.

Yes. If you dont do back to back testing, how do you expect to get good results when setting up your suspension.

I can dream all I want but their no way I could afford a shockwiz. Even if I could I bet that just keeping entries of what I’ve done and adjusting each ride would be just as good and it’s free. I also like going to demo days and trying different tunes all day.
