This game is bs. An entire fight screwed by an ability. Sure you have to check anything before a fight but when team Osaka makes a boss "eh just give It endless I-frames and teleports".

I suppose you shall call KH2 bs as well because dodge slash leaves Sora open to attacks and because aerial recovery and retaliating slash cancel out second chance and once more.

This one fight just remids me how these data bosses are a work of art. The amount of time and effort it must've took for the devs to design them and bring back old iconic moves of each one is just a nod to all fans of the series. I love it even if im getting my ass beaten!
not to be that guy, but it takes significantly less time to work with a pre- existing move set than to make one from scratch. They data fights are cool, and neat and flashy; 100% an upgrade from the pile of poop that is the base game, but a work of art? Thats stretching it a bit. It's actually a shame that almost everything good to come from this game are all homages that are paid to the previous games.
@@flamemano But there are new moves and old ones. I mean sure, having already an old one as a base makes it easier but to polish it and take it to new levels is hard work... And considering not only the boss but the soundtrack aswell i think its still art . But i agree with some points you made!
@@flamemano The movesets are new, with some old moves thrown in. Even the moves inspired from past games aren't 1:1 replicas. You're 100% being that guy.
One final round with my favorite Kingdom Hearts villain and childhood adversary... One of the main reasons I stayed on this series was because I wanted to finish what I started almost 14 years ago. It's weird but I'm going to miss fighting him in future games

A really anime-like fight, and even the finishing move is really fitting there. Great battle as usual! P.S. : Somehow, those DM dark orbs, the ones which shot to Sora, is really like the Psio series attack from Persona 5.
Did anyone notice that little reference to kh1 when you die! In the other fights you don't have a heart floating over your chest but you do if you lose in this fight! Just beautiful!❤
hate to be that guy but that's just a kh3 attention to detail, dying to a heartless shows your heart above you on the continue screen, but otherwise it's just your body. it is a cool attention to detail that they made sure to mark data ansem as a heartless though
Incredible. I didn't know about half of these openings on my run through of this boss. And that last DM phase was a lot of final form and pray, ha ha. GGs! Keep being radical!
So...what happened to his “COME, GUARDIAN!!!” I get that terranort has it (cuz he also had it when he first transformed) but ansem was the first time we saw the guardian and he even had it in DDD??
Terranort uses is since he was the original user of it. Despite the whole time-space nonsense going on, it seems there can't be 2 Guardians roaming around at once.
NeoTron Well maybe this is sheer proof that he doesn’t, well, need the guardian? And if this data is based off of the data of when Sora Riku and Mickey fought him with Xemnas and Young Xehanort, then it makes even more sense because the guardian died by then.
Yeah, the Guardian was pretty Iconic to him... with him using it in every game he appeared in until now. Riku even used it upon taking Ansem's form to catch Roxas. While I can understand him not using it in the story fight (as Terra has revived by then and the Guardian was gone) I think it is a missed opportunity to have him not use it here in the data fight because it is so Iconic to him. He already shares some attacks with Dark Riku, why not have him share a Guardian based attack or with Terranort, or give the two different Guardian based attacks.
Yoooooo, I found Ansem to be the easiest fight in Limit Cut, except for the 2nd part of his 2nd DM, I had trouble telling where those pulsating blob things would go, which got me killed most of the time
Same thing for me, although I also had trouble with the first part Having to dodge a black ball coming towards you on a 2D screen without depth perception to help is kind of harsh

Just a bit of criticism I found that airstepping through the four mines to him almost after they are summoned works well. The only issue is he sometimes shoots and has super armor.
I honestly wish his DM involved him transforming into his giant organic fleshy boat form from KH1 and the player had to travel around it to defeat him :/

You mean berserk change? Then yes. But it’s a food buff bonus, and he doesn’t have that buff on him. What he’s doing with cure is getting situational arrows, using the cure converter. To get formchanges more often.
On crit, I have the first stage down to a science. But the second DM, you can forget it. First stage I just immediately attack, block, run from laser shield. Lightning. He tries to grab me with the dark claw I immediately focus and I'm invincible all the way through it. Sliding lightning towards him. Combo. Then come the long distance lasers. Dash or roll through them at the last second. Try to stay away from the landmines. Combo. Laser shield comes. Dodge. Lightning. Dark claw again. Focus again. Sliding lightning towards him again. Combo. Thundaza if it procs. Ultimate. Then stage two starts. Dash out of the way of everything. Run from the black hole. Block or dodge the lasers. Ultimate finisher comes out. Stage 2 begins. Block the lasers. Dodge the laser wall. Run from laser shield. Dark claw again. Focus again. Sliding lightning, combo. Good luck dodging everything at the same time. Black hole apocalypse DM begins. Pray. Maybe catch him with in a combo. Actually do have some breathing room to use elixirs surprisingly. That's as far as I've gotten. I've gotten him down to one health bar and had to take a break.
Personally, I feel Ansem is easier (I beat him first try without losing my Kupo Coin and only using about 2 or 3 potions). YX simply has the easiest pattern to learn but he can easily f you up in one or two hits. Luxord is easy because he isn't really much of a fight to begin with
To me Larxene and Terranort was easy. Even on crit there attack patterns are easy to get memorized. Not to mention Terranort felt evenly matched so he was fun to battle too
I somehow managed to actually skip his final DM by just delaying his health bar as close to the DM trigger as possible. The one with the stripey homing balls of darkness and destruction.
Just wondering, anyone know where the whole "pylon constructs of darkness" schtick came from? I don't recall Ansem or any bosses tangentially related to him using anything like that in past games, but both he and Dark Riku have it here.

I like to think the Starlight Sora wields is the same one he stood on during the Union Cross attack. What he equipped the Oblivion keychain onto Starlight?

Every single time you Shot lock airlock to him you can swing at him and he stays still. EVERYTIME I do it, he literally turns hard or left and completely dodges it. Wtf
How the flying heck are people managing to catch this guy with airstep? He backs out of range of the keyblade quite literally every time I try it, then wails on me. Within 2-3 combos, I'm dead.
Any advice on how to consistently dodge the suctionsplosion after the first DM segment? Can't for the life of me figure that part out. Oh, playing with all PRO codes, btw. So no fancy stuff available.
HansAlRachid It might be too late but how you do that is time the lasers when you dodge. They fire two sets of three. Roll away from the suction when you are dodging them.

In my opinion, this is the best looking fight for data org. Even though I don’t have the dlc, you gotta admit. His dm looks pretty fucking good.

WILL i need some advice plz I normally find openings kinda easy especially with your vids but this time I can't figure out why when I attack at the same opening as you ansem doesn't wanna stagger any insight as to why would be awesome.
(I'm mainly talking about the first opening after the dark firaga he shoots at you I watched over and over but can't understand why I can't hit him there)

Every single time you Shot lock airlock to him you can swing at him and he stays still. EVERYTIME I do it, he literally turns hard or left and completely dodges it. Wtf

How the flying heck are people managing to catch this guy with airstep? He backs out of range of the keyblade quite literally every time I try it, then wails on me. Within 2-3 combos, I'm dead.

Any advice on how to consistently dodge the suctionsplosion after the first DM segment? Can't for the life of me figure that part out. Oh, playing with all PRO codes, btw. So no fancy stuff available.

It might be too late but how you do that is time the lasers when you dodge. They fire two sets of three. Roll away from the suction when you are dodging them.
