I love how Dan has given up fighting the insanity and has just embraced it 😂 him in the robe killed me 😂
Exactly !😂😂😂
Renée's photograph took my breath away...she captured the essence that is Isabelle! ...feminine yet strong, joyous, intense but elegant, wise yet innocent and humble, loving and kind.....one could go one and on. I'm certain there are hundreds of qualities each of us can see in the Bright Light that is Isabelle...I feel very blessed to be a tiny part of this Magical World that is Chateau de La Lande!💛💙
Isabelle has so much style x
Indeed 💙
Marie, you are so delightful, always making beautiful flower decorations.
Your Chateau gets more beautiful with each project! You put so much love in everything you do, Thank you for sharing all your triàls and triumphs, Julia Elizabeth Kneece Gregg
Oh, the Robe Brigade made me laugh 😂 ❗️
This is why you must always wear your Chatelaine belt! So you always have the keys to the Marquisedom!
Beautiful photo
That's it! I'm ordering my One Hundred Stars gown right now! Just for raking!
I don’t know which was funnier, Dan in the robe mafia or Phillip and Kat thinking they could talk Stephanie into parting with some china pieces 🤣. Another wonderful vlog and that picture of Isabelle is fabulous!! So regal
I was laughing so much at the china discussion 😂
I feel like each episode we see Dan he gets dragged further and further into the insanity lmao
🌻
The joy and fun of these people is definitely infectious. It was only a matter of time for Dan to succumb.
OMG !! 😂😂😂😂😂🙏😂🤣
He’s totally loving it!
Makes good entertainment
Thank you all SO very much for the kind comments of my photograph of Isabelle! As you can imagine, she was a dream to photograph. Elegant, classy & stunning. Sending all our love to the Lalanders. Missing you all!
@rene’e jacobs . Love the portrait in black and white!♥️
It was captivating and beautiful. ❤
I can imagine Dan going home to his wife saying, "You wouldn't BELIEVE what they made me wear today!" ❤️👏
I bet Annalisse would get a good laugh from it. 🤣
Annalise to Dan: "YOU get all the fun, Dan!"
This is the most magnificent pink stone courtyard and it’s not even finished yet! Stephanie and all the landers what a magnificent workforce and camaraderie between one another. I’m so impressed and I just love how beautiful it looks!
Very well said!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"Almost fell over your chestnuts"...don't hear thst every day..LOL!!
Yes,loved that one!
😂
The photo of Isabelle is absolutely beautiful
She works so hard,amazing.
I must say that nobody rocks a blue robe with ruffles better than Dan! And I must also say that mummy didn’t look a day over 50 in her gorgeous robe and 👠 and looked like a goddess in her photo! The court yard is looking pretty good too...loved how the peacock family came over to inspect the situation.
I don't think anyone has more fun in life than Stephanie.
@@hopewalker5764
🌻Stephanie enjoyed herself in the old days before Patreon kicked in. She's the same spectacular woman. 💲Those funds pay 4 employee salaries now & property projects only. She doesn't take a dime for herself.
📺 Perhaps you need to check out her earlier vlogs as proof of her positive demeanor.
☮Peace 💛Love 🌼Beauty
I think that too! I’m living vicariously through her these days!
@@hopewalker5764 I'm not suggesting Stephanie was ever poor. She grew up with a decent standard of living & had an outstanding education. Clearly, her parents were hard-working. Her mummy's work ethic in the garden and commitment to her daughter's dream speaks well of her fine character. Her parents obviously made sacrifices as well as some great investments in their time. They instilled strong & decent values in their daughter too.
It makes no sense to begrudge the woman for how she was raised or any advantage it gave her. She is a credit to her legacy.
In the end, I believe her to be a woman of integrity. If you do not, perhaps you need to move on. Life is too short to resent someone for their wealth or anything else for that matter. She did not steal anyone else's blessing. If you are faithful to your calling in life, you will be blessed too.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
@@daphnereloaded3480 I slightly resent ,others saying people that work hard ,will be well off.
Many people work hard in their job,but never get anywhere in life,it’s merely existing.
Teresa Carle 🙏👍🏼
Your words are PERFECT !
Thank you for them 🥰
Photo of Isabelle is just gorgeous. And loved the tango at the end.
STUNNING
💋Mummy was tres magnifique in her boudoir portrait! How lovely that such a gifted📷photographer beautifully captured both mother & daughter in the same centuries old ⚜Chateau corridor!
@@teresacarle294 Bravo !!!🤩👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Percy, I hope you are with Isabelle soon💕
the marble charger plates belong in Don Johnson's 8O' home in Miami Vice ....
👍😄😷
🛑 You insult those marble chargers with your reference😂. Although I do agree that mauve pink was very trendy in those halcyon days😉.
As amusing as Kat, Phillip & you yourself are on the subject -- I side with 🌻Stephanie on this issue. While she hasn't found the right pairing something will come to her attention one day that will look perfect with them. Meanwhile, there is plenty of space to store them. 🐞🖤🐞
This Château life combines my teenage dream of living on both the set of Dirty Dancing and on the estate of Marie Antoinette, which from a viewers stand point seems like an absolute dream. And on top of it you've some how assembled the most perfect and ever-growing cast of kind, creative, funny and loving humans, each contributing and offering the very best of themselves for the common goal of a splendid and accomplished day. What more could one ask for?
🙏👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well said
True that!
You need led battery operated lights in the porcelain cabinet so that anyone can come and enjoy looking at them while having tea with you 😌
💡Perfect idea! Although they could probably finesse some petite lamps or even regular under-cabinet lights for it too. Those beautiful dishes deserve a bit of pomp & ceremony. The mirror would only add to the sparkle😉.
~~~~~~~~~~
🤔 I do worry about the integrity of those self-adhesive strips Phillip mentioned to hang those small plates as art (esp. if they are valuable to Stephanie).
😣Even after following weight limit instructions on package, we experienced adhesive fail. Several frames dropped off our walls all on their own within a few months. 💲Had to go to extra expense of replacing the broken glass in all of them🤣.
🍽 For plates, used this paper-clip hook tutorial a while back & haven't lost one yet. Plus, the hot glue does not harm plate. It can be removed later w/o damaging it. (We did reinforce the hot glue again 2 yrs later👍.)
inmyownstyle.com/how-to-make-a-plate-hanger.html
That would be a bit tacky.
lights would make it look more elegant if thats even possible
I was thinking of ones like a spotlight to show what's inside the cabinet more than a strip light, like these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YWP512F/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=xomacenna-20&linkId=7ae33e4484e122d3f383baaf2439032d&language=en_US
I really enjoy reading comments after YT posts but today I've stopped at the point where some unpleasantness began. Please people, if you have nothing positive or supportive to say, move on. Don't try and diminish others by your low mood.
Phillip: “Only one wooden plate”
Stephanie: “you mean the first one”
(Another collection begins!) LOL!
“You can’t just kill toddlers because they’re not big yet!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of the best ”stephanisms” ever! 😂
Awe , Selmar the tango dancing man 🕺! What a wonderful dancer and handyman! Who wouldn’t want to dance with him? 🌹🌹🌹🌹🥰
Dan has been tethering on the edges of the Lalande madness for ages now. But it would appear that he’s finally accepted the inevitable 😂👌🏻 But he put up a valiant fight until the very end - even if he ended up in a frilly morning robe as a result of his persistence.
What a beautiful transformation of the courtyard! The photo of Isabelle was absolutely stunning. Stephanie, your Mum is such a beautiful woman. And Percy should be over the moon with that photo. Loved the Tango with you and Selmar. He is quite the Renaissance man!💕🍁🍂
They need to be careful laying out all the crockery in the dining room like that... it looks just like Emmaus. Stephanie will go round buying it all again 😂
Hahaha :)
Shopping for China at home😜😂😂😂😂
The raking scenes remind me of little children playing in a fountain on a hot day!
Diesel and Ruby hanging out together outside Selmar’s camper is the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while. Also, the photo of Isabelle is just gorgeous.
Selmar is like Snow White, all the animals are drawn to his calm demeanor and like to be around him. I also think he might be the one that feeds them all 🤣
What a beautiful picture from Mummy Isabelle .... a piece of art! Wonderful.
The 'Robed Gravel Racker's Musical' coming soon to theaters near you! LOL! Loved it!
Never let Philip leave. And while you’re at it, make him the official interior designer.
Everytime I watch these I find myself with an overwhelming desire to paint or clean or plant something it's playing havoc on my pocketbook. Oh and searching eBay and thrift shops for anything French.....omg!
I feel ya. I've been looking at eBay too. I'd love some plates similar to Stephanie's, but I have no space for them. I keep looking anyway. I figure looking is free. But I did spend to much money on mum flowers this year. I have never done that before. It is really cheerful looking outside when I eat or do dishes now
I broke my travel mug, last Saturday. So I googled travel mugs. And found a beautiful Spode one! Should be here tomorrow! Can’t wait!
Me too!
You ladies broke Dan!!!! It was a matter of time for him to join the bathrobe team of La Lande
The sound and color of the granite gravel is fantastic! Again, suggest stone or concrete curbing around the fountain bed to create border to prevent gravel from moving into beds and likewise, soil from moving into gravel. Will also help prevent vehicles from "cutting corners". Must admit I totally agree with Phillip and Kat about the various porcelain pieces - giving up some, means room for NEW! The black and white photo of Isobel is superb - captures her calm elegance and exquisite poise! Percy will be delighted.
🎉Agree. Gravel looks great!
All the courtyard 🌱garden beds need edging to define them -- whether or not that is cement, stone or another material. It will help keep the gravel out of the beds in the long run too.
Priority #1 is proper drainage dug in a channel (filled with stone) around interior perimeter of new beds to prevent that💧rain
water💦 pooling right against the Chateau any more.
Wow! I have never been to a kimono-gravel party before. A stellar day!
Isabel's photo is beautiful! Percy will love it. They must miss each other terribly!
They are old and should be together. Coronatime is terrible.
Yes, it's almost obnoxious that the countries cannot work something out in these situations while hundreds of thousands go through AMERICAN Wal .arts daily and no ones blinks an eye
Oh Isabel, just divine.
The ending was a sheer crescendo! Selmar you’re such a great lead, Stephanie was just so graceful👏🏾
The carriage would make a great prop for Marie’s flowers. Isabelle looked beautiful.
Oh Isabella you are lovely!!! Just shows us mature women are just as stunning and beautiful 💕💕 As far as the Gravel 😳 I've done the same thing at my home. I could have used all at Lalandes help! Lol
In that photo, Isabelle looks like a Duchess on weekend. So glamorous.
🦄Well said.🌈
Isabel's photo is so gorgeous...she is my inspiration...we are the same age....thank you Stephanie as every video breaths new life into me in one inspired way or another.
I think I am the same age also can you tell me how old she is?
@@regineruiz3847 I think she is about 72...i did hear in one of the videos....it may have been her interview vlog.
It's finally happened, they've all lost their minds....and in the courtyard!!
Really 😂😂😂! Corona makes the people crazy.
Such a hive of activity Lalanders in their robes gum boots rakes a sight to behold with Dan the overseer.The Sound of the no handle door shut tight and Selmar to the rescue.Marie’s florals lovely fragrance in the chateau then beautiful Isabelle with the photo shoot a French goddess.Thankyou Stephanie my spark of joy and laughter for the week❤️❤️👏👏
You really need to get a locksmith there to fit keys for ALL the doors. Get 2 keys for each door. One set label and keep for use but have them sign for them to make certain of its return. Label and keep the other set in a safe container hidden somewhere safe.
Where's the fun in that!!!🤣🤣😂 x Sheena
Lovely foto of your Mother Stephany.
She is a beauty. Just like you. ; )
Kat is so amusing, I love her sense of fun and humour.
Isabelle really does have a classic, regal beauty about her. I feel her longing for Percy 😔 ...sigh....when oh when are they to reunite? We must find a way to get Percy to Lalande.
Such a beautiful photo of Mummy! She is truly a regal lady.
Yes she is !👑
I keep wondering - how do you get along with that refrigerator for the entire chateau?
Its not the only one, there are fridges in the apartments and one in the scullery. But Stephanie is getting a bigger fridge for the kitchen before the B&B reopens in the Spring
I think they've said they have a few small fridges dotted around the chateau, and when they really need the space they use the ones in the apartments as well
5:33 “Dr Doolittle’s Camper Van” so sweet
Gasped when I saw how high you stacked those plates. For storing antique china, it’s best not to stack more than eight plates high. It puts too much weight and pressure on the bottom plates. Just a friendly tip! :-)
Renée really delivered on Isabelle's photos...and Mummy deserves the best!
I love the way the cat and dog are friends
Dan went from a 1 day/week gardener to a full fledged member of the Chateaux
Super Selmar and his trusty sidekick Diesel
The courtyard is looking so much better.
The gravel scene; Robe Mafia including Dan the Man!!! So much joy and laughter. Much love to you all. Thank you.
It would be a tragedy if those ugly marble plates were accidently dropped, right?
Yeah, that would be horrible haha
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@philipjanssen Theyre gross lol. They are very 1980s in a bad way. The only way I could ever see them working is with some sort of neoclassical 19th century style plates in similar colors for a Malmaison Napoleon and Josephine dinner party but who the hell is going to ever do that lol.
I would put them under a plant, especially one that sits on another marble top.
@@philipjanssen What about a garden fete to use them as targets?
Isabelle looks gorgeous!
The Dutch are experts on “systems” so yay to Phillip for organizing the china! It is fun to watch how his mind works.
“Robed Mafia” has a whole new meaning! Dan in blue, Isabelle in her stunning photo shoot and Steve in pink! I can’t wait for more videos!
What a lovely back drop for Marie’s flower arrangements that blue carriage in the background would high light! Just an idea!
Selmar and Diesel to the rescue!!! I guess he can help make a new door knob for the gray doors.
I love Kat . If you can't be honest what's the point . 😊 Selmar to the rescue . Excellent dancing
Hate to say the crew is dead on about plates
🤣 when I realized Stephanie was raking gravel in her pjs & robe! Love how the team then all got robed up and joined in, pitching in to get it all done. Dan, Steve and the gang in robes dancing & raking - LOL!! The courtyard is looking fantastic!
Isobelle looked so lovely! She was so alive! It is so amusing that people all over the world are fussing about when Isobelle and Percy will be reunited. The European uptick is not helping!!! ❤️
Joie de vivre. i just looked it up and the definition: 'exuberant enjoyment of life.' suits the Lalande team perfectly!
Isabelle, your photo is so beautiful. Percy will love the photo. 💗💗
Hello everyone from England 🍀💐🌈🌸👍🏻
Wonderful vlog, I loved it, the moment everyone in robes made me laugh a lot, wonderful Isabel in the photos and the end with the dance was great.
Thank you very much greetings from Spain🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
That is a crazy amount of dishes! even for a Château! I really like all the new gravel, it looks so lovely
Where is Selmar. We need the wild hair Dutchman!
I believe he is working on the corridor powder room.
Selmar doesn't like raking. he hides when the rakes come out. He prefers diesel and tango!!!(lol)
I was wondering that myself. I am thinking it may have to do with the fact he is self-employed now. Don’t know for sure, that’s just my guess.
@@FolkFaninMA Next time they will have to rake him into it!
Lovely content. The photo of Isabelle is absolutely amazing. Also great team work. You are all just amazing. Thank you.
Stephanie, your Mummy is gorgeous! What a terrific idea to photograph Mummy!
I very much enjoyed everyone raking gravel in robes (especially Dan in the frilly, light blue one).
Watching this on March 30 2023 and got such a kick hearing Philip's Dutch accent.
Love the banter and all the fun. Love the creativity with the raking of the gravel ladies.
Ladies, you all put a smile on our faces. :-)
You just can’t beat garden gravel for instant curb appeal. Y’all are going to need a French drain at the base of the outer walls to bring the water away from the building.
Wow! The courtyard looks so great! It's amazing how much bigger the fountain looks with the landscaping surround.
Another great escape!Great too finish with some Tango,it's coming along well, congratulations Selmar,great teacher.
I must recommend the Disial vlog when end destroy's the feather bed,so funny!
Sorry he!
On a totally randon note. I saw this UA-cam clip and instantly thought of Lalande. This little "sheepdog" would fit in very well with the Lalande herders 😂
ua-cam.com/video/p-9-3DtUzug/v-deo.html
Wonderful idea.they absolutely need little Nelson!,,,
Ohh Nelson is the Sassy Best !!!
I highly recommend for your gravel a Gillhams gravel rake which is 2 metres wide and is pulled along by a rope. Fantastic!
Marie should do BnB workshops and basic courses including a stay over
Flower workshops with a tango lesson w Selmar to end the evening
@@rolo4945 Perfect 💐💐💐🌻🌻🌻🌻
Isabelle really looks absotutely stunning, regal and perfectly beautiful on that photograph!!! Reneé Jacobs is a wonderful and more than competent photographer!!
I am really impressed with how much you have advanced in your dancing. Your movements are so fluid now. It was beautiful to watch Selma guiding you on the dance floor.
'Fraid I agree with Cat and Philip, chargers are hideous. Villeroy & Boch = beautiful, just not this time.
I'm wondering if they're gonna put some kind of raised border around the beds to keep the gravel tidy?
How wonder FULL it is to start off with a gravel raking dance party (with Dan and Steve joining the Robe Mafia, no less) and ending up with a tango (after Selmar traded the crowbar for dancing shoes). And Mummy’s photo is beyond wonderful. I can’t comment on Kat and Phillip’s china intervention on Stephanie, as I am a dishaholic in recovery🤗
Dishaholic....hehehe,me too
I feel compelled to come to Stephanie's defence, I don't think she has reached hoarder level yet, admittedly, 1 or 2 plates/chargers were a bit on the dodgy side.
However, in general, the things she keeps are integral to the chateau, can be re-used as is, adapted or repurposed. The chateau still has lots of rooms to renovate and she has the storage space, unlike most of us.
So, it's good to see things being salvaged for reuse and not thrown away.
I felt a bit sad watching that. Not sure I’d want volunteers going through my stuff 😞
@@annettecurtain5052 I know what you mean, but at least she held her own & defended what she really liked.
Phillip , you are really doing so many great things, please don not leave.
I have never seen people having so much fun raking!!! I love it!
Omg! More tango with Selmar and Stephanie!!!! Yazzzzzz!!!!!
Thank you for such a lovely video it really lightened my spirits! I have had a horrendous day and it really cheered me up!!!
🙏 I feel you
Was waiting all day for this ❤️🧡💛
