Story of Kasainath Parvat
It is said that a part of the mountain fell off while lord hanuman was bringing the mount 'dronagiri' from Himalayas when he was in the pursuit of 'Sanjeevani Booti' to revive laxman. The part of the mountain that fell off is said to be what is known as the 'kasainath parvat' today.
Kasainath is a temple dedicated to Bhagwan Shiv, 41kms away from Panjim beyond the Goa border in Dodamarg Maharashtra. The temple lies on hill and can only be reached by about 1 hr trek with moderate uphill terrain.
