Great review and great review style! I really appreciated that you systematically went though each feature on the pack and that the camera work was clear enough to show these features, so many review videos just show someone gesturing towards the review object and not taking a step-by-step approach to showing potential buyers what they'll be getting. It was also good to see some critical review points in your review, separates it from mere product placement. Keep up the good work!

Love the review. Another great pack is the phantom G3 by Eberlestock! Just took my pack out for a two day camp in the snow and it did outstanding. Can never go wrong with eberlestock!

Great pack. I own an X3 and a Gunslinger II. My brother bought a G1 Little Brother as per your review and he loves it.

Luke you son of a gun! This is literally the second Eberlestock pack you've got off ebay I was bidding on! First time was for a battleship or destroyer, I can't remember, But I thought how crazy I was bidding on this and now your doing a video on it! Second time you got the best of me! Great score brother! Not even upset I missed out on both a little bit. Great deals are out there, even greater people! Keep up the great work!

This has got me thinking. On paper this sounds like a perfect pack for the next time I go bow hunting. The scabbard is perfect size for my recurve bow and can attach a quiver to any of the MOLLE webbing.

The scabbard is great. Very handy for shed layer, tarp, camera tripod, or a long gun. The only complaint is the E-stock packs are a little heavy, but for good reason, they don't break. That said I also own a Osprey Stratos 36, kelty redwing 50, redtail, and a granite gear blaze AC 60 (highly recommend u take a look at the AC 60 you will love it.)

The pack looks nice but the only thing I personally would like to see is a larger version. Thanx for the review Luke!

Good stuff, would like to have seen some gear in the pack, and how a rifle fits in the scabbard. It's just easier to judge sizes of the pack and pockets, plus its fun to check out what can go in, and how easy it is to get in and out.

  • @kfgrip
    @kfgrip 8 років тому +1

Since the pack is "weapons" compatible those square pockets you may remove would be perfect to hold some boxes of ammunition or loaded magazines IMO.

Hi Luke, Loved this video. I have had this pack for awhile waiting to get out to the mountains for a long backpacking/hunting trip, Love packs that are rifle compatible, very useful for people hunting out in the wide open mountain valleys and hillsides, can see for million miles away. I'm also considering taking that little pocket out as well, not sure if i can find a use for that yet, But I also don't want to ruin it, so i'm not sure, lol, maybe i'll order a second one and keep that pocket attached, incase I do find a use for it.

There is also a small compartment revealed when the lower portion of the scabbard is opened, revealing a small zippered pouch that holds the rain fly.

The only thing I would like to see is a slightly larger version with say 3500 cu in of space. It would be nice to have the same contour and shape in a larger version but still small enough to jog with if you have to go fast.

Hey Luke ! just wondering if u can camp with this bag and show all the stuff u can put into it ! Would love to see how u organize it. I am thinking of getting this bag or the Gunslinger 2. So if u could do a update on this it would be appreciated... Keep up the great work on your video's

Luke not 2900 space the whole bag is 2000 or at least that is what the Eberlestock website says. I really like this pack though. I think I am going to add it to my collection.

I would like caution people who might be interested buying this pack or any Eberlestock, pack even though they have an adjustable harness. They will only extend up to 22" torso length. The exception would be the V69 and maybe the Battleship. At least that has been my experience.

  • @KrisSays

Luke, Hope all is well with you and your family! I do a lot if shooting and wouldn't look at a pack without a scabbard. Is there enough padding provided where your back isn't a "pin cushion" for all the "contours" of different rifles? What about the rifle hitting the hamstring/glutes? Thanks!

Have you ever reviewed mystery ranch packs? Only thing is mystery ranch is $$$. They recently won the contract for SOCOM and I think it's the spear line that won them the contract for all three of those packs.
their frame is full carbon (maybe carbon fiber) which is much better than the plastic or aluminium. Looks as high quality as the eberlestock manufacturer.

Luke, would you compare this pack's comfort level to say an Osprey? I can deal with the weight, but it has to feel comfortable.

  • @panzerabwerkanone

AR10 Huh? You da man! I was expecting this pack to be much more costly. Looks like a good operator pack. Not the kind of thing for most of us backpackers on the trails. I'm not really into humping the AT or the MST with my weapon, ammo and SatComs.

Maybe a little heavy because of all of the attachment points compartments handles etc.Not sure I need a scabbard.
