Thanks for showing us around and being so "useful", Jay! To more strolls in 2021! If anyone wants to learn about our move to Paris from LA, watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/_5c5cfcCX-8/v-deo.html
Lovely day indeed and what a pleasant surprise to see you're friends with Ashley! Started following her on IG after seeing all the 🔥looks she styled for Chadwick ✊🏾and had heard about her recent move to Paris - so happy to hear she's on UA-cam now!!
Omg, love how the editing came out. I was suppose to make it to Paris, Montmartre last July 😫 (reason I started watching you) it’s great to see people out and about and shops being open. Wishing you the best this New Year!
Salut Jay- wonderful editing - especially the intro section. Enjoying this as I sit in my kitchen watching snow fall outside with a nice café. C’est merveilliex!!
It was great to catch part of the live edit for this. Thank you for doing a couple recently! They really are fun! So nice to meet new friends! They really are noobs! 😄 Lovely to see people new to Paris, though, and I’m sure they will soon be taking people around the city themselves. 🙂✌🏼
Salut, Jay, just FYI, I didn't get a notification from YT about this video (not complaining). Super loin de Montmartre but Kozy (Ave. Bosquet) is open every day for your rive gauche coffee needs. Beautiful footage from inside the basílica; the crib is amazing. Your friends are very sweet, bienvenus à Paris :)
@@JaySwanson Mindblown. Yes, you should try Kozy; they're such great, kind, warm people and their coffee is wonderful (in these COVID times I suggest their long black, mais pas trop long).
Thanks Jay for the stroll through my favorite neighborhood. I was amazed that you were able to film inside the Sacre Coeur. Last time I was there with my camera in hand, I saw a man's hand come into view as he took my wrist and squeezed it just like my mom used to do to me in church when I got fidgety but he worked there so it was fine. Skipping the cemetery, I guess it's cool to save some stuff for another day. Waah! Loved seeing the sunshine. Cheers! 😎
Hey Jay, moved to Paris from Orlando yesterday. Your videos have prepared us for the move, we even stopped by the peloton to get some coffee the day we arrived lol. Could you by any chance find out which masks your friends were wearing in this video? The look really comfy and good Thanks and happy new year!!
😍👍🏻 love it ! Last trip to Paris in March of 2019 I took my baby sisters ashes to the Sacre Coure and placed a bit in a prayer candle I lit for her. She was very much into her Catholic thing so I figured she’d love the chanting and singing and bells. Then my husband and I strolled around the corner to the square, and some excellent fish stew at the red fronted cafe immediately on the right. The. We got our caricature portrait done by one of the artist. It was so fun, a group of school kids came along and laughed & critiqued mine. I love Paris ❤️😍 I hope one day to return. I am envious of your new friends who were lucky enough to actually move there 👍🏻 perhaps one day Jay you will be kind enough to be a guide for me as well. Best Always 👍🏻😁
The real moulin is hidden by the fake one. The real one is on a private property, I think it being renovated. On avenue Junot, there is a passage with a hidden place to play “aux boules”, the feeling is quite incredible as it is so French. Many famous people go there to play so it is nearly impossible to visit it.
There's an app Toilets in Paris (not beating about the bush there), tells you where all the Sanisettes are. Not a perfect app but still v useful esp with all the cafes closed.
About that filming rule, When i went to London in May 2019, there was a no filming, no photo rule, which sucked. The thing is that this rule was to be lifted in June 2019, only a month after we went. Like wtf? We still took "secret pictures" though. I don't care, I'm not religious and I went there to see the architecture so...
@@JaySwanson I was in paris march 2019 & Sept 2019.I plan to retire in 2022 travelling thru Europe until I can get a residence visa in Spain or Portugal.Your videos inspire me to travel there. Hope to meet you one day.
Hummm, didn’t think photography was allowed in Sacre Coeur. I have never had anyone ever approached me, and that’s fine. *Edit, Never mind, posted that before I saw “new rules”.
Hello, 04.32 mn : All people live in an occidental big city know to just answer "no" or "nope" or pass its way without give attention to this kind of guys. When I was young in the 80s it was in "Saint Michel" (Paris) neighborood that we met same guys. It wasn't to sell us bracelets, but rather hash. lol These people are really plagues for the tranquility of people and tourists. But in general, if you go your way quickly without calculating them too much, then it's fine. Because they have no time to waste and immediately start looking for new prey. :)
France has only inoculated 516 people, while almost all the rest of EU has hundred thousands. Why should I visit FR while ignoring the public health? Por quoi non? L Kubo
Always love the rush of exitement of coming up a subway exit in a new city when traveling
Me too!

It was quite the change! I even double-checked with the security guy before filming. I need to go back and take full advantage asap!
It’s a lovely sunny day in Gensac. Enjoyed the walk and loved that you had new faces to interact with! Take care and be safe!

Interesting little stroll with new people. Glad you introduced them to a sliver of Paris. They are definitely NEWBIES!!!
Fun to walk around a bit and revisit some favorite spots =)
Beware the Casual Fanny Pack - especially on Metro / Touristy places.
Love that area of Paris

Isn't there a site with the public toilets listed in Paris? If not, make one. You'll make a mint on the ads.

I 💖Montmartre.
It's a special place =)
@@JaySwanson Yes, it certainly is...💕💖 I enjoy searching apartments in Montmartre and dream of the day.....✨
Jay, this might just change your life - but you can get a stainless steel filter for the Aeropress. Paperless coffee :-)
I might have to check that out - I had one for my chemex and really liked it a lot
Nice vlog jay...loved it. We are planning to visit paris...we are from India...are there any travel restrictions over there for tourist visa?
You'll have to check with your consulate or embassy - happy new year!

Music was on point...but those ads tho
I'm tempted to demonetize my videos moving forward, but worried UA-cam will end up recommending them less.
Nooooooooooo, did you just say "it's 2020"?! :)
I might be the new blood coming to stay in Paris once this pandemic is over. I have an old friendship with someone that I might want to rekindle.
Sorry, 4 ads in first 7 minutes, had to stop. Happy New Year!
