I love hand stitched things, those little framed cross stitched pieces were sweet! I have a couple and I'm looking for a specific one thats really hard to find, and at an affordable price! Its called a 'sampler', basically has the alphabet cross stitched in a pretty pattern. The originals are more of a primitive piece, very collectable & pricey. May end up with A newer dupe 🤷♀️ They really have some great pieces there!! We owned a thrift store for about 4yrs. Believe it or not the words in the name of the store make a big difference! In pricing.. most people won't pay antique prices in a thrift store. The same item in each store can have a huge price difference.. its crazy but that's how it goes! The backpack basket was a gathering or hauling basket back in the days of picking cotton or hauling things like wheat & rye, or any type of materials. That may have been A newer dupe, it was a nice one! My daughter has A really long, wide hallway in her last home.. she had 2 of those entry hall trees side by side.. very pretty! Hers don't have the mirrors, which i like the mirrors! I have quite a large collection of all size shelves, i do have one with the corble brackets.. but that one was super cute! Loved the brackets and the shape of the shelf itself. I love having them all around the house..under pictures, or mirrors, in gallery walls or in the kitchen or bathroom for both decor and/or functionality. When we lived in NC we had one of those huge galvanized metal carports, we had a huge metal star with the babed wire ring around it hanging on the front. I'd forgotten about it until you just mentioned that😄.. that was over 8yrs ago! If you and your hubby ever go hiking or walking the wooded areas, keep your eyes peeled, you can find lots of sheds or antlers! Shed season Is usually between January & March, we usually star looking first first of March. That's the best place to get them, they're real, authentic and its cool that you actually found them! We used to take my son looking for sheds every year when he was young! We were also deer hunters & knew where to look, but they're usually near creeks and streams. Watch for decided scuffed up tree trunks around eye level or lower... If you decide to go look😉😊(your husband probably already know, lol) Can you tell I'm born & raised a country bumpkin??😂 Those were primitive or antique boxes used for tool boxes mostly. I have a shorter but deeper in, I've collected & filled with angry antique & of vintage tools. I want another one to turn on its side and decorate like a shelf! A friend has one she used like that on top of s little table, very cute! You can do so much with them in your decor! Love the egg baskets, i want one shaped like the chicken, just for decor.. id like to have one like you found too! So happy that you found yours!😊 Back in Tennessee they're pretty easy to find, i just never bought one🤷♀️..i will tho😉 Lol If i can find one in Florida that is! I'm the same, I'd rather find my things in the wild!(as they call it) I want to put the wooden eggs in it when i get one. You can get them at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or any place like that. The big basket is really very nice! Oh i love the little bible, its beautiful & love the pictures inside! I bet someone actually bought it in Jerusalem and brought it back, what a great find! My son went over several years ago, he gave me a key chain with the Jerusalem star and Jerusalem written on it. He traveled all over the US & abroad.. he sings praise & worship & traveled with a ministry for 3yrs. singing. He's married now with A 9mth old baby girl.. but he & his wife do the praise & worship at her dads church. Yep, he got him a preachers daughter🫣.. lol kidding! She awesome! And the best mommy😊 She's a NICU nurse so she knows me about babies than i do😄 Everything looks really nice where you've styled it.. and i really enjoyed chatting along with you😁 TFS!!

Have you seen the wicker egg baskets? Some people call them Amish egg baskets. You might like those too. Your tiny New Testament is so cute & probably someone's momento of a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Many tourist items are made from Jerusalem wood (olive wood, which the graining def looks like it.) You can also find Jerusalem wood crosses and Nativity too.
I’ve never heard of the wicker egg baskets! I will have to look into those! And yes! I like to imagine who that New Testament belonged to and the story it took getting to that antique store! It’s such a sweet find!
