- Hello, friends! I so hope that you're well. Autumn will soon be here and I'll be making a new bucket list for all the fun things I hope to do this season. But that made me realize how many things I DID NOT get done from my summer bucket list. Most of the list, actually! And while that initially made me sad, I then remembered so many little things in life that make me so very grateful.

Look at Charlie go! He seems to love his training sessions! And I love your flower paintings! A few things spring to mind using them: make a series of greeting cards, upload to Spoonflower to make fabric, turn into digital art that others can purchase to download and use in their art, make copies to use in decoupage. I made a copy of about 10 pages of my art journal, which I cut up and used to decoupage a chair. It’s a great way to reuse art. Also, give art classes to those who don’t know how to do dot painting. If I lived near you, I’d take it!
These are GREAT suggestions!! I could see some as decoupage papers. Make sure you get paid for your designs. Even fabric. There you have 2 more streams of income. God Bless You!! 🙏♥️🌻

I remember an episode where you were looking at selling some prints. Weren't you going to set up an Etsy shop? Maybe that's a new direction to go in and include your paintings for sale there. Perhaps see how other photographers are marketing themselves in case there are other options you haven't considered - usually word of mouth is what works best :)

Hi Kate and Charlie. I am so grateful to God that he gives us different seasons to enjoy. Life goes by so quickly. My children are grown now and I have ten grandchildren. I call them my blessings. My daughter told me, Mom, your not a spring chicken anymore but You are a mighty fine fall hen. Lol! Hey, I'll take it. I turned 67 in July. I am at the age where I can look back at my life and see all the times, God has been right there to encourage me along, sometimes comfort me when I have disappointments, and let me enjoy the incredible moments of struggling through trials in my life. My faith in God is everything to me and fulfills my purpose for being here. Oh Kate, I have been anemic before and had to take vitamin B-12 shots and cod liver oil. Well, you are in luck dear one beause you can get both of these in capsule form. To this day, I don't like fish because of the cod liver oil I use to have to swallow! Yuck!! Charlie looks so adorable enjoying the sun and sniffing the aroma in the breeze. I sure am glad you two have each other! Enjoy each day and search for the good things in life because life goes by so quickly. Monet, my lil female Shihtzu and I are sending you and Charlie big hugs from Texas and hoping yall have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! 😘

Hello, you are not alone. For personal reasons, my last two summers have mostly been spent at home, watching tv, reading books and resting whenever I can. I used to enjoy doing other summer-type things like hiking, going on vacation etc. etc. but right now that's not what makes me happy. I am doing my best as well to not compare, and embrace it as best as I can.
Sometimes we really do have to listen to what our body and mind wants ... and then do our best to not compare to what others are doing or what we used to do. I'm glad you've found some things that make you happy : ) That's really what's most important!!!!! Sending big hugs!❤❤❤

Don't worry about bucket lists because it will put pressure on you and, then you will feel depressed when, you don't complete them. Life happens, Kate. Things come and go unexpectedly. You want to stay in a calm state, caring for yourself, tending your garden, cooking, cleaning, playing with Charlie these are, important parts of your day so, just enjoy that. You are brave to give up refined sugar. I should but, I am too flipping lazy. I know I would have more energy and, my Crohn's would not be so bothersome. Oh, well, in another life😀.
I was thrilled to find your video. They don't come often enpugh. Most of us, envy your simple life. Big is not better. Hoarding stuff, to fill up space can, really begin to overwhelm you. See, now there is this new craze...Tiny House living. You fit right in. I wish I could live in one but, with my very sick husband, to care for, I'll have to settle on following them on You Tube and, ofcourse, I will definitely, follow you.❤
Now, for an update on Rudy...I cancelled the ad. He is staying with me, for as long as he wants me and, now, he is sleeping on his own, little, bed, right beside my pillows! It is a tight fit as I am on a Twin size bed but, I get to pet him, tickle his neck, till I fall asleep. The best news yet...I am allowed to kiss his forehead five times! What a guy! Making me beg for kisses. Things are definitely going better. It's almost as if he knew, I was selling him. Once he feels more accepting of my company, without any hesitation, I will take him either to obedience classes or, settle on teaching him a few tricks. My, beloved, Chico was an off leash dog and, never left my side, no matter what passed by. I miss him, terribly.
The Morning Glories really took off. Last video, you bought thread to wind around the railings, to get them started and, what a show stopper, they have become. They are so pretty and, they grow in so many places.
The little bunch of flowers you cut, were pretty. I don't know why, after years and years of growing flowers, I never made little floral arrangements. They really brighten up a space.

We have, or at least I have struggled with the heat down here in TX. 100+ daily for weeks without any rain. I am ready for this summer to be over and may God have mercy on us this winter. Don’t mention fall because we don’t get much of a fall here.

Love all the beautiful harvesting you're doing. Wanted to let you know, as a vegetarian, you can be low on Vit B12, which you often get in meat. There is Vit B12 deficiency anemia too. Vit B12 is best absorbed sublingual (under the tongue). That can make a big difference in your energy level. If you get too low in Vit B12, you can start having hand tremors. My daughter had this issue. Was so grateful we found this out before there was permanent damage. Enjoy the garden!

I adore these videos where you just share your at-home life with us and muse about things. Like you, I am so happy puttering in my garden. My favorite flowers for years have been zinnias. That's what's filling the jelly jars in my kitchen right now. When perennials have passed and other annuals are looking bedraggled, the zinnias come on strong! Years ago I gave up on reading magazines because mostly what they did is cause me discontent in many ways. I've never gone on Facebook or social media (at 67 I'm pretty low tech) but I'm sure it would produce the same result. And, like you, I feel sooooo much better when I give up refined sugar. I also steer clear of gluten and dairy. There are marvelous substitutes these days. I'm so happy you managed to find a solution for your anemia! YAY!!! I was a New Englander for my first 58 years, so I know well the fleetingness of summer. I've been retired for nine years in Tennessee, which is considered Mid--South. We definitely have four seasons, but winters are generally mild and short, spring and fall are lingering and very nice, and summers are HOT!

P.S. Maybe, like other UA-camrs, you could sell your paintings in an on-line shop as part of this channel. Or set up an Etsy shop you link here. Just some thoughts.
If there is a farmers market or a fall festival where you can rent a space, why not set up a table. You can draw folks in with your beautiful paintings and also have an album of your photography work with business cards. Once you start talking you can tell them about your photography and honestly you should try selling the paintings. They are beautiful.

The only social media I’m on is UA-cam I deleted all my accounts years ago; even though I subscribe to many UA-cam channels, I don’t subscribe to their Instagram. I love being alone I feel the only time it’s a little bit uncomfortable is when we having a winter storm in Massachusetts, but I also have my trusty Otis with me.🐶 I have a lot of church friends that I reach out to and I go to church on Sundays, as well as my prayer meeting every other Saturday and my women’s Bible study every Monday on zoom. I have a son three daughters 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Life is so busy. We cannot get together all at once, but that’s OK. They have the live their life. Thank you for another precious video. I like this time of year because I have all those little teeny white miniature daisy flowers in my backyard near the woods chorus and I picked them and I put them in my McCoy pottery and I absolutely love them. Love your wonderful paintings, one way to use them maybe is to make them into junk Journal covers, or adding embroidery stitches to these gorgeous paintings to give them a textured look too. XX

What a wonderful and positive view you have for the end of summer. I had a knee replacement the sixth of June so many of my plans and hopes were also left unfulfilled. Everything went well and I'm so happy with my new knee, but I'd love to have a do-over on the season so I could capture some of those summertime moments that I relish. I would love to buy a print if you ever sell them, I live in the UK but would happily pay the shipping and taxes 😊 I had low iron on and off in the last decade, I usually make smoothies with spinach but put more strawberries and banana in to give it a nice flavour 😊 I had them every day when it was very low and it really helped! 😊 x

I just love watching your videos with Charlie. I had a bucket list too that did not get accomplished due to a few health issue, it’s hard when that happens but I heard that September is supposed to be warm so I am grateful for that, we all deserve it here in New England since the rain was crazy this year and ruined all our gardens. Charlie is doing so well with all your training, I wish Zoey would cooperate like that! She just turned 5! Your paintings are beautiful! I cannot wait to hear what ideas you come up with for them. You could take a picture of all those wonderful flower pictures you have painted, and get them made into material, to make a quilt. They would make such a lovely wild flower garden quilt I think - or even curtains. I love your sweet little Charlie. You sound very happy in this video, and positive, and I know you have been through many challenges over the past months, so it is amazing how positive you sound! Just in case it is helpful.... for iron you could also try to eat more dried fruits like: aprikot, raisins, figs...also to eat more lentils, bean, cashew nuts, chia and pumpkin seeds and kale 😊

Although I found out that my aching knees start getting worse after too much cake etc, I still go back to that white addictive poison too often… but it’s getting better. I think your videos are so relaxing to watch and to just get a little down time with. I think it is a combination of your beautiful videos with the music and your very comforting and calming voice and your words or inspiration and originality. I used to be severely anemic. I took garden of life vitamin code healthy blood or mega food blood builder. they are once a day, whole food supplements. It took about a week or two for my body to fully get used to them but after that, I took for years with no problems.
Finding joy in the small things is the greatest gift in life!❤
I feel alone sometimes and I live with my daughter and three granddaughters. I have my pitskys. They are so sweet and really keep me company. I have a very large bedroom. One half is my side of the room, the other is pretty much my fur babies. My side has pretty much my favorite things in it. It's a little hodgepodge but I love it. Even having my daughter and granddaughters here, I often feel alone people wise. But my babies give me so much joy and entertainment. Lol I love working in my gardens which does keep me busy and happy. So living with someone doesn't always mean I'm not alone. They do there thing and me mine. Wintertime is usually when I paint. I think I need canvas ..and I make miniatures.
But there is a plus, even feeling lonely they are in the same house. And that's comforting.
I hope you find someone that you can visit and do things with... I admire you and your lifestyle. You seem to be very strong. As far as social media, you are right. People post tidbits of there life...the good moments...the rest is like everyone elses...busy and rushed for two...

Cooking in a cast iron skillet (which I think you do sometimes) can help increase iron levels a bit. Also there is something called a Lucky Iron Fish that you can check out. Every little thing can help.
I’m also suffering from anemia. I take iron pills at night as daughters suggested. I took them during the day and made me feel sick. Taking it at night , I sleep through it. It helped. Love your lifestyle, so peaceful and relaxing.

There is so many pretty things around you that I feel bad not enjoying the things around me. It is hard to do that here in Texas right now, I can not take this heat and no rain much longer. Yes our leaves are fallling but it is because they are dead, the heat (102-108) has fried them, lol. I so love to watch your videos and little Charlie. Love your dresses!
