I knew I had to stop to carry on with my day but kept thinking 'one more', will come back for the second half, meanwhile don't forget to feed the fish.
I liked the way this showed your evolution. Not just your playing but also your communication and video skills. I think you have a bright future however you choose to use your skill. Sorry for being so wordy.
I'm committing the cardinal sin of commenting before I've watched the whole video, but since I'm in the middle of mowing and saw this when stopping for a drink, I'm just going to say that I'm excited to see where it goes. Many of your earlier videos are some of my favorites and deserve to be featured - pumpkins, spinach, and cinnamon rolls come to mind. I'd love to see more like this at whatever frequency works for you.
Sweetheart you don't need to make excuses for you are fantastic and beautiful, and I for one thank you for sharing, love you! Dennis in Florida! 🪕🌹❤️🥰🌴🇺🇸
That mic picks up over a pretty wide range. They were designed to do that for sharing the mic. You could get away with putting about chest height and never moving it at all and you'd get a good balance of voice level and banjo level. I watch a group who records with a Zoom and they always put it about chest height and it picks up voices and guitar really well. Great playing and love the format!
OK fouund this one again ...YES, please do more :) - and your 'open' style, "warts'n'all ya'll" is helpful as well as therapeutic. It's helpful because us beginners, or wannabe beginners, can see how the journey goes in raw reality :) - and that, maybe surprisingly, is very ENCOURAGING! And therapeutic because you do different types of banjos and give us all an idea of the different 'resonances' (??) - tones - of different instruments. Now I have t'say that I really enjoy your gourd-Jesse Head-banjo playing ...so please may we have more! :) I do window cleaning, here in Perth, Western Australia, at age 73, and what do I listen to (boogie to) ... why banjo music, of course! Yours and some Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn (I know, I know) , and that very beautiful 'TS5- Béla Fleck - Big Country' (it's on youtube) and also examples on that ML-1 Missing Link Baritone Banjo ( Béla Fleck was involved in it's design. Oh yeah, don;t worry, I also love yer Ome Minstrel when yr playing that. Also I watch Lawrence Nyberg's videos on his builds of Octave Mandolins, Citterns, etc! ciao Gregg from Perth :)
Hi Phoebe, thank you for this. I really needed this, school has been stressful. This helps a lot, you're doing really great at the banjo. I play too, I'm more of a level 2 banjo player though. I've been playing for well over a year now, hoping to improve. Keep up the banjo and never stop playing. God bless you and have a wonderful rest of your day and week.
"My headphone wire got stuck in my banjo!" Love it! Glad to know I'm not the only one that has stuff like that happen! Next time, bring more chickens and doggies! GREAT VIDEO! Thank you!
I look forward to your posts. Always a thumbs up. It is entertaining, for an old not musical teacher like me, to watch you progress and move forward. You’re doing great you’ve taken the production really seriously, well done
Sounds great and your playing is improving apace, your flow is really getting there! Thanks for sharing your journey with us, it's a proper treat, as we say in Yorkshire 😊
This was spectacular., So perfect. You get better and better, and your freewheeling instincts always hit the mark. Glad you have found good teachers. They learn as much from you as you do them.
"Alexa, show me 'A breath of fresh air'"... ...Up pops a MWBB from Sanders! So uplifting watching/hearing this. Favourite part - not sure, maybe the energy in Cr*pple Creek, but for me, edged out by the headphone tap! X
This was a great setup all around! I like what you were going for with the radio show vibe. Would love to see you do more stuff like this in the future. Makes a great supplement to Fretless Friday ❤
Just loved every minute of this Phoebe. Your playing and talking is great. You keep me smiling in my darkest moments of my old age. Lots of love mate.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Kevin in Australia
That first banjo has quite a springy step! The power went out on my whole block and I could see neighbors coming out with flashlights! I didn’t worry , just kicked back and watched this video on my phone and it was very peaceful ! The banjo with the moon on the fifth fret is definitely my favorite! The power came back on and i almost wished it had not !
I love your playing and your studio is looking great! my feedback, is that if you do edit anything, please edit out the mic adjustments, they are hard to deal with on headphones. it's nice that you usually announce it and I can shift my headphones quickly if I'm paying attention, but that's the main disruptive thing that I notice and think would smooth out this type of video. goof around, tune and tinker all you want, that's all part of the fun. I say it from a place of love and encouragement, and as someone with sensory sensitivities. thank you for sharing your lovely art!
This was GREAT for background music at work. You helped the American economy by boosting my productivity! Woot! Really enjoyed the mix of polished/work-in-progress work in a longer form video!
That Cripple Creek you did there is probably one of the best versions I have heard for a very long time... it really flowed, so many people over think it
I really like it when you talk about something and also when something unexpected and chaotic happens and you try to do something about it. So I definitely like this "radio show" format more than just songs. (Just please don't touch the microphone while you're speaking. Pause, adjust the microphone, then continue. This way, unwanted sounds won't interfere with your voice. Or it will be easier for you to cut them out in editing. If you want to keep the atmosphere of a radio show, you don't have to cut these parts, just make them a little quieter.)
Hi Phoebe , actually I am working on a 1790 Early American Desk from New England as I listen to you. I Always allow the individual artists to create their own format ,style, and flavor . You're picking up good Knowledge from your teachers .... I need to get some of my music recorded for sure and you are remind me that I need to connect my microphone audio interface a mixer and have it set up because I have lost a lot of music by not having it ready. Anyways we're just a bunch of people hanging out together and checking out some tunes, and keeping it real. Congratulations on your progress
Keep it natural , I personally love the jam session feel of your videos. I and others know you can get down to serious business when its called for. keep it light and fun as you have on this one Thanks
When we use to practice in the basement with my band the drummer and I wore headsets which went into our stage 24 track sound board. Both of us were the singers so I helped hearing everything clearly in stereo. With a bit of reverb for depth. The other 2 in the band didn't want to wear them. Not something we did playing live but we did use floor monitors
Every time I hear you announce the name of the "Georgie" tune, I think of a cat I know, named Georgie, who will be put under tomorrow for dental surgery. I sure hope it goes well.
I looked up Phoebe and it means bright, radient and pure. So that's right then. All the best, thanx forthe radio style long programme, held my attention. Martin London UK
I have to listen to banjo music with headphones on, and I don't have them with me, but this looks like a GREAT show! Edit: Everyone's out. I'm listening. It's great. Phoebe, try using UA-cam's playback controls to listen to it at 1.25X. It's interesting!
Thank you Phoebe, another good one. I am also into studio recording gear, and have a small guitar studio. Your microphone sounds nice and clear, and picks up the frequency response of the banjo well.
I feel like I've watched a Phoebe Sanders concert, which is great :D I'd love to see some of your friends joining, the videos where you play together are some of my favorites. Oh, and great Hell Broke Loose in Georgia :)
I had a dear friend that was, let's just say a talented musician and banjo player. He was a legend in Athens Ga, and I got blessed for years having him and his wife attend our Christmas parties, where they played! :) They made my Christmas for years! You are a beautiful talented young lady! Thank you for sharing! You are a very special person.
Very professional. A little tip if you want one, the banjo sounded just fine when you had the mic at mouth height so I don't think I you need to keep moving the mic up and down.
Unfortunately my health is bad at the moment, but your joyful musical performances always bring me a lot of joy. Thank you 😊
Your facial expressions are priceless Miss Sanders ! Love it !😆
Heck yeah, Phoebe, I'm a picker as well and I play this when I'm working throughout the day. Please keep 'em up! Thank you!!
I started painting recently and found that listening to your music inspires some really cool paintings!!! So Thank YOU ;)))
Hi Phoebe, loving the long format version. Keep it up. Thank you
Thanks!
Thank YOU!!!
Had a bad day at work, thank you for the "music therapy".
Thanks! You’re doing great!
Thank YOU!!
When someone knows how to actually play the banjo, as you do, it makes me smile when I hear it.
me2 just a few quick cords and my mouth curls up???
There’s playing the banjo, which a lot of people do, and there’s loving the banjo..and that’s what makes the music so special! Thanks!😊
I knew I had to stop to carry on with my day but kept thinking 'one more', will come back for the second half, meanwhile don't forget to feed the fish.
I'll keep it simple. More please. =)
The last song made me laugh. I'm glad you didn't cut it.
I enjoyed it just the way you did it! You being you it's great! Thank you Phoebe! Old guy in Ohio!
A very pleasant time here on Radio Phoebe

The studio setup is sounding amazing! I was smiling the whole time, thanks for the video!

Follow your heart. Don't let the medium capture you.
Thank you.

I think you should be proud of yourself for having the courage to experiment in front of thousands.
new mic picks up the sound from the drum head pretty good.

When the mic is on the banjo I still want to see your hand. Otherwise excellent work, thanx and thanx for the nostalgic look back. Martin London UK

The first thing I noticed was your dynamics are great, emphasizing notes with different techniques.
This was a great setup all around!
I like what you were going for with the radio show vibe.
Would love to see you do more stuff like this in the future. Makes a great supplement to Fretless Friday ❤
Love the flourishes or rolls they're great, classy and visually cool , that Cindy is a great song. Martin London UK

I like to hear your comments about the tunes. It's like someone is here talking to me. Thanks for that.
Love the longer stuff, I put it on in the background for working on chemistry homework
I like whatever you do, especially leaving in the mistakes 🙂
That Cripple Creek you did there is probably one of the best versions I have heard for a very long time... it really flowed, so many people over think it
really great
Great way to start my morning listening and appreciating everything in this video! So glad the algorithm sent me your way. Keep on being you!

I don't know if it's the banjo, the mike set, or both, but I love the sound on the "Sugarhill" clip...
Keep it natural , I personally love the jam session feel of your videos. I and others know you can get down to serious business when its called for. keep it light and fun as you have on this one Thanks
Sounds great!
Love the syncopated phrasing half way through Sugar Hill

The "Phoebe Factor." Produces smile and joy. Frail on!
I have to listen to banjo music with headphones on, and I don't have them with me, but this looks like a GREAT show!
Edit: Everyone's out. I'm listening. It's great.
Phoebe, try using UA-cam's playback controls to listen to it at 1.25X. It's interesting!
You're the BEST ❤❤
The way you presented this is just fine Phoebe😊👍
Thank you. Needed it. Haven't heard it yet but still know I did. 💛
Listening to this and working, head a-bobbing, getting weird looks from my co-worker.
Thank you Phoebe, another good one. I am also into studio recording gear, and have a small guitar studio. Your microphone sounds nice and clear, and picks up the frequency response of the banjo well.
All Phoebe All The Time sounds like a great idea for a radio station. Why would you ever need another musician?
Not too many people can pull off a 47 minute video, but you certainly can. I was laughing and grooving the whole time! Keep it up!!!
Love ya! Ty
I feel like I've watched a Phoebe Sanders concert, which is great :D
I'd love to see some of your friends joining, the videos where you play together are some of my favorites. Oh, and great Hell Broke Loose in Georgia :)
I vote yes on the long format. Great job in repurposing content. If it was great once it will be great a 2nd or 3rd time.
I think the format worked very well.
If I were there, I would be clapping. I think you need a clapping soundtrack.
I dont know how I found this but this was awesome to watch while working on calculus. Good stuff!
I needed a midweek banjo boost and your smile is contagious. Some of my favorite recordings, and loved the live pieces as well.
Sounds great. I love listening at work and I love the Grumpy hat. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I see Elvis!
Great concert. Loved the sound. I spent the day figuring out ear buds and wireless stuff. Nice to sit down to nice banjo picking.
It's the Phoebe Showcase starring Phoebe!
I enjoyed the format, thought it worked pretty well. Would love to hear more of it.
Don’t worry about not being perfect, we love ya just like you are. Thanks pretty girl.
I loved it. So fun to watch someone being original and creative. Do it again and don't mind the outside noises. Do some chicken B-roll!🐔😉
Very professional. A little tip if you want one, the banjo sounded just fine when you had the mic at mouth height so I don't think I you need to keep moving the mic up and down.
Love this, a little musical podcast
Idea, I wonder if this could work as a stream? Then you could get immediate feedback and interact with your followers a bit?
Really sounds good to me
Maybe some vocals later!
You are rocking that thing grandpa jones style
Old Dan Tucker
Thanks Phoebe, I needed this! Hope you have a lovely rest of the week.
Thank you. I was having withdrawal symptoms. didn't know if i could make it through the week
Great stuff, I enjoy the longer format! Thank you for sharing your art with us!
