Rather it is "A moment for mom" "Ode to Ozma" or moments like this... a special magic pours out that is so meditative and speaks of hope, love and your amazing heart. Thank you so much for sharing this time with us.
Thank you so much for that pleasant, soothing medley of banjo tunes. I certainly appreciated it, and I’m sure many other viewers did too. I’m watching from Charlotte, North Carolina, and as far as I know, thanks be to God, Charlotte escaped the worst of the damage from Hurricane Helene. Communities north and west of us were not so fortunate. Some cities and towns in Western North Carolina are in desperate need of emergency supplies. Please continue to pray for us and for all those affected. Thank you for all you do.
I appreciate the video, and I wish I could have taken a second to enjoy some banjo music when it was posted. It's now been almost a week since the hurricane hit and I just got home from an out-of-town work assignment cutting trees and clearing roads in badly affected areas of my state. We were on the ground since Friday morning when the storms passed and I haven't had a moment of break until coming back today. After many days of hard work and nights spent sleeping on the floor of a local fire station, I can finally take a minute to breathe and relax. Your contribution is welcome, even if it may not seem like much. Thank you!
I'm in northeast Tennessee on the western North Carolina border. My family is fine but things are massively stressful and I really needed your gift. Thank you so much. This video was the perfect end to a pretty stinky day. Goodnight.
Yes you're right, the world can be a scary place. Sympathy for the hurricane damage from UK friend. All the more reason for some peaceful, beautiful 🪕 banjo. I'm a great believer in the healing power of music. Thanx Phoebe as always. Martin London UK
Thank you Phoebe, I really like the tone of that particular banjo, and also the double C tuning. That was definitely a nice chill tune, and your mom's banana bread looked really good as well.
I love the look and sound of that particular banjo from your collection, Phoebe. It looks gorgeous and it has a softer sound, closer to a mandolin or a guitar than a banjo. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you, Phoebe - I'm putting that one in my palylist I have for when I'm cleaning windows - my day job at 73 :) So lovely on the melodic gourd banjo (Jesse Head's handmade instrument), and I think your idea of 'daily dose of Banjo' is a very helpful and encouraging one :) - because it can give folks a 'lift' and bring joy into their hearts. I guess you already believe that God has given you the grace-ability to play, and also the ability to establish and produce yer own UA-cam channel! I just feel that your stuff - your programs - are inspirational. I'm safe saying that, because I live in Perth, Australia, and far away from any tennis ball you might throw at me! ;) I've also got some Béla Fleck stuff on my window cleaning 'playlist' - and his story of how he came to the banjo could have some similarities to yours. An abbreviated version of that is found here : - ua-cam.com/video/4EsQZ9TXvec/v-deo.html Gregg from Perth! (yeah, my wife somehow 'stole' my account - it's a long story! ;) :)
Idk how in the world i found you... but you have taken me back to a time in my life that i thought i had lost forever. Please never stop. Keep going. Keep inspiring people like me. You are saving the world, one song at a time ❤
Thanks Phoebe! I'm in upper East Tennessee about 20 miles from Erwin and just over the mountain from Asheville. We are dealing with hurricane destruction on a massive scale. Your playing is helping calm my frazzled nerves.
It’s strange how just watching your show has changed me, and I’m an Old Goat 🐐 a Real Grouch ! But when I watch your show, I feel young again 😂 Thanks for Being You ! 🥰🥰👍👍🙏🙏
Boy, that banjo sounds great! Almost like a lute or a mandocello. I used to play banjo when I was your age. (I actually played banjo, mandolin, and 6 and 12 string guitar back then. Eventually I dropped the first two.) Hearing your mastery of this unusual instrument makes me want to sharpen up my skills again. (Not that I was ever this good.) Thanks for the upload!
You are Amazing ! Do not doubt that. We Need You ! Need Your Peace, of course Your Smile and those strings of Happiness. Thank You for always being willing to play for us.
hello, i stopped back to make my ears happy. you have achieved such a balance of the right song, on the best instrument for it, best tempo, and musician. A+
You are a delight Phoebe to think of giving your talents to others who are suffering the awful result of a devastating Hurricane❤❤❤❤❤❤ you are a truly special person and we all love you !!!
I am playing this on loop. Thank you very much! We have not heard from several family members who lived, and we hope still live in the Ashville area, and a little west of there.
Thank you so much for the lovely music and the good wishes you sent out this afternoon. I was getting ready to cook dinner (veggie burgers) when I saw the alert pop up. That convinced me to hop into the car and venture out to seek the lettuce we needed for our burgers. I had decided to forego lettuce in order to avoid driving, with so many stoplights out around here, and with so few stores with any perishable produce because of the power outages, but the chance to listen to you again on the car stereo fortified my nerves. I was fortunate to find lettuce at the second store I visited, and to spend the trip listening to fine music. It was a very nice selection, and it sounds wonderful in a real stereo system. You surely made my day much brighter with your kindness and your music!
Thank you Phoebe. I love watching and listening to folks play their instruments live. So many really talented musicians, pre-record their songs and then mime it back to create the videos, which sounds good (as they're meant to) but never as good as a live performance (hiccups and all). (edit) - that was the best 16:41 seconds I spent all day. Thank you
Thank you for doing your part Phoebe. We're fine here in the northwest Piedmont but to the west, they have a real mess in the mountains and can use all the help theycan get. North Carolina strong!
It's the magic, soothing sweater; or jumper, as it's called in the UK. Hey, there's no mistakes. Just an artist, making art for her friends, ok? It was, as you promised: relaxing! 🍀
Phoebe you made my day,,, yes I was out of power here in Indiana but only for 6 hours , easy peasy . But it's Monday evening here in Indiana and I lost a good friend this morning who suffered a long illness. Bless you! your interlude of banjo melodies were a soothing balm on my drained spirit . I thank you and loved the music as I usually do. Frail on kiddo
The chaoticness of the birds, the tail, and the legs. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I had that on my wall. Luckily, the hurricane didn't hit my side badly.
Thanks for thinking of the east coast . FL, GA, SC, NC, TN and VA all got hit pretty hard. Where I live in Southeastern NC was not to bad, but where my sister lives in independence Virginia was. She ok thank God. Thanks again.
Hello Phoebe. When I first chanced upon your channel, there was a large poster of Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) in your shed, which had to be taken down to make space for new instruments. Subjectively, Columbo could be regarded the patron saint of humility and persistence, and therefore, would you perhaps consider to reserve place for a smaller portrait somewhere around Elvis and the birds? Ah, just one more thing... Nah, that's all I had to ask. --Waving from Istanbul.
Sweet soul strings singing to my heart'....😅..... Thank you so much mate "from Australia... You are the bottom of my friend you are the jam that I needed to spread on this busted up "🇦🇺...'life of bread"... That is my heart....nick.
Luckily we are on a ridge and were only inconvenienced by power outages, along with a few nervous hours of the huge white oaks that surround our home whipping around in the wind. Many people lost everything, including their lives. Thanks for the beautiful music, thoughts, and prayers!
what a great sound to hear at the end of a day,.....just as pleasant as can be......Thank You Phoebe
That is the coolest looking banjo I've ever seen
Laid back with your playing. Enjoy it so much.
Excellent! 'Nuff said.
You are a treasure ❤
Elvis gettin jiggy to it!
God gave special blessing upon the world, in the form of Phoebe Sanders !!!✝

Well I liked it, bravo.

Love all your videos but I especially love these slower and wonderfully melodic pieces.
“Take a second…”? But it’s almost 17 minutes!
(and yes, I will probably listen to all those minutes.)
Wonderful video and some great music. I really love that particular banjo and it's really mellow sound.
The Banjo sounds so great little Miss Sanders just wow ! 🪕❤

UA-cam recommended this video to me at the end of a long day, and I'm sure glad it did! Great job! What a relaxing medley, love it!
Gosh you radiate that love and caring for those less fortunate!

I experience the same.
Thanks for this, we've been out of power for an entire week thanks to the hurricane

From those of us with crappy jobs with too much stress, thank you. You helped.

Lovely tunes touching my heart. I wish all the people affected by the hurricane all the very best in recovering from that disaster.
Been up all night with insomnia, listening to this as rain passes over head, so relaxing. I really love this.
Kind and calming. Thanks!

Thank you much for serenading us out here and down yonder way. It really is so thoughtful and needed.
very nice and good :)
This is just what I needed today.
Awesome music for sitting on the porch with a glass of tea and watch the birds and squirrels with. 👍🏻
Phoebe's improvisations are really good. Better than the covers.
Thank you for doing your part Phoebe. We're fine here in the northwest Piedmont but to the west, they have a real mess in the mountains and can use all the help theycan get. North Carolina strong!
Always nice to see these updates
Also yay! Banana bread!
I love these long form videos! I know it must take a lot of extra effort on your part. Thank you!
That's a beautiful banjo! And you sure brought out it's soul and let it shine.
It's the magic, soothing sweater; or jumper, as it's called in the UK.
Hey, there's no mistakes. Just an artist, making art for her friends, ok? It was, as you promised: relaxing! 🍀
I like that you make mistakes sometimes, it is like sitting with a friend as they play a song for you
It's good of you, doing this.
Very nice, Phoebe 🥰
