Hi there, the only files you can open are deflemask project files. What type of file did you want to import? For Vgm files I use "RymCast" to help me program the songs in manually, you can slow the song down, listen to each channel separately, and copy instrument files from rymcast into deflemask format it's not perfect but it's a big help. (if you want to import midi files it's best to use a DAW instead of deflemask like "cakewalk" or "FL studio" and use a megadrive instrument called "GENNY VST" that emulates the console in modern music making programs)
@@saltygumballs2621 hey again mp3 and ogg (digital audio) are totally different to deflemask files (tracker format) , you can record/export deflemask files into WAV, and from there you can convert that to mp3 or ogg, but it doesn't work the other way round, you can't convert digital audio into a tracker format, no program in the world that I can think of can do that. You have to do it manually unfortunately Some programs let you convert mp3 (etc.) into midi but that usually sounds terrible.

It's definitely possible, but it'd need the samples making smaller probably, it worked out about a quarter the size of Sonic 1 lol
