Man, this is spectacular. Such high quality production, loved that it was a silent/music-only video, and your drone shots and MW timelapses are killer. Keep it up!
Love the energy of the video. The last minute was something special. Felt like I was floating between the stars for the shot reveal at the end. Great stuff Brian!
Just watched your latest video, which led me here, to yet another uber high quality production that speaks volumes of your love of the craft without saying a word.
What an amazing video Brian! You have some serious skills across the board! This is what it’s all about… ZWO should buy this video from you for a commercial, great job
This YT deserves an award, t/y/v/m for it. I'm overwhelmed by just the video; in person experiencing this stargazing might be too much ... Hope to one day soon find out ... Many years ago did get to see the heavens on a moonless night northern Michigan woods. I almost couldn't believe the magnificence of it all.
That's far too kind, thank you friend! That means the world to me. I hope you get to experience that feeling again. It's one that stays with you forever.
OMG.. This is absolutely mesmerizing. Can you please share the directions how to get too this location? I must do this to capture the milky way next month. Thank you so much in advance.
Thank you! This was taken in the Alabama Hills in California. The specific spot this was taken from is now off limits, but there are tons of similar spots you can just pull up to and capture the same sky.
This is the ASIAIR app from ZWO. The app makes connects my phone/tablet to the small red box on my telescope, which controls and powers everything. It's great!
Having a knack for filmmaking like myself, you should try to get over the "speaking to the camera" hump or even just do a voiceover, I'm sure youll get even better videos with a bit of "show and tell".. Trying to do the same thing myself!
Thanks for the feedback, man. It was an intentional choice to make this a silent film with no dialogue. One of my favorite UA-camrs has success with this model. That’s one reason I didn’t do it. The other is I think UA-cam is oversaturated with traditional vlogging, especially in the astro space. So I wanted to try and be a little different.
