Hey Commander!!! It needs a much bigger carb, the little carb is suffocating the engine!!! My wife ignores my ATV hobby and hoard, kind of keeps me from bothering her.... LOL!!! ive got a yamoto 150cc gy6 too, shes even sketchier then that thing, and the carb floods to all hell and back but when shes first starts up she spins the rear wheels until she floods out
Very interesting, Harvey, was not expecting that big bad machine to be such a slug! My first thought would be to throw a larger Predator on there, but I know you're too talented for that. Looking forward to seeing the GY6 ripping at full capacity soon...

Hey King Ceasar!!! I think the engine is not spooling up, need more RPMs, for the torque converter to spin out to the bigger front drive position.... To get the speed U R speaking, I think it would need the weights changed.... Thanks for info, Ur thoughts, watching, and commenting!!!
Harvey, I have an Alpha Sport Cobra RS-180. It has forward and reverse like yours. My most concerning issue is the casing by the output shaft is busted. I found it while rewiring the machine. Do you know where I would find a new or used casing? There are a few screws that hold the halves together. A friend of mine said he has a GY6 that needs a crankshaft, I don't know why, that's just what he said. On the side of my engine there are some numbers that read as follows AT50 004807. Can you tell me anything from that. What is the chance that the crankshaft from my engine would fit the GY6?
Every gy6 I've seen needs to have a pretty restrictive intake to run unless you put bigger jets in. I'm wondering if it's getting to much air to go full throttle.

man put the original carb on an put the red cdi box on it also vacuum goes from valve cover to intake to carb everybody says u need a resister but ive never had any trouble out of my gy6 kuzuma dingo an i got out of junk yard an rebuilt all the way but that carb will never run as hard as original with the electric enricher

My thoughts for this machine is that it would make a nice quad for when an amateur ride visits.... I'm not sure what I will be doing with the electronics yet.... I bought a Coolster 125cc with wiring issues, What a nightmare. I did get it running after hours of messing around but needs a total rewire and yeah, the china wiring makes zero sense lol

With the China made wire harness, determining what is wrong is always difficult as just looking at them seems to cause problems and sitting in the weather causes more issues. So typically, a given harness may have more than 1 hard issue and a few intermittent.... Easier to hack together one or just replace it completely if possible.... You got a ride, a custom seat cover and 2 ignition keys, and it's still not enough. I'm sure you know the real problem, the unidirectional tires are on backwards, case closed. Enjoy yourself Harvey.

Why would you keep riding it like that wide open? Its the carb you just pulled it out of the box and put it on ,needs tunning I would think. Good luck buddy 😊
There’s nothing Rapid about that POS ! Lol. Perfect machine to throw a huge motor on it and rat it out ! Maybe a 500 cc snowmobile engine because of the CVT it would work ! So how about it , put a roll cage on it and make a body for it with a snowmobile engine !!!! I don’t know how much it would cost to ship a motor for it but I have a few in my collection ! A 340 and 440 and also a 488 ( 500 ) with drive clutches ! I have a few of each !

I just wanted to see what kind of shape it was in, if the motor was viable... Looks to be a great quad for when an amateur visits and wants to ride.... Hey King Ceasar! Wow, that is crazy fast!!! A lot of atvs start to swing up at those speeds is the tires aren't perfect matched and inflated!!! Thanks for the good info, thoughts, watching, and commenting!!!

I got a gy6 atv that I cant get to spark. It has the 5 pin cdi...is that the wrong one? You say a 6 pin is for the GY6....but then it looks like you use a 5pin cdi??

also roller weights an clutch springs but thats the part you would have to look up the different sizes
