I spent 21 years in the army and always carried a Victranox Swiss Army knife in the field with me. Including Desert Storm. Even after newer multi tools like the Leatherman came out. Which I also have. I still prefer my Swiss Army Knife. I have had several different models of them. But I prefer the ones that don’t have all the gadgets on them. As a minimum I have the two blades bottle can openers wood saw. Scissors and the Phillips screwdriver if I have a few more cool. But that wood saw is a must. You can build a shelter with it.
@@richarde1355 I can't speak for anyone else but I like the tinker - with as few attachments as possible. Anyone without that bloody corkscrew, I hate that thing.
I agree, they are amazing and long-lasting tools. It's always fascinating to have a Swiss army knife. I don't miss mine wherever I go. Taciano, Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil.
Good video 😎. Victorinox are the best and still made in Switzerland (Ibach SZ). This company exists for more than 100 years. If you come to visit Switzerland, please go to see the shop. You can give knifes to your friends.. These knifes last for decades.. I have a knife of 1985. That was our original knife in the military service (alox model). Looks like the Pioneer model, but it is a little bit better.. It still works..
I've used the corkscrew to punch a new hole in my belt when it stretches too much and gets loose. The corkscrew helps to break through and make the initial hole. You can then put it through a few times to widen it. Then use the smaller blade to really round it out and open it up.
Carried one as a marine & midshipman. Gave them out to the marines & lone sailor in my wedding party. Whether trimming Irish pennants or nose hair or fingernails, scissors are handy. I’ve trimmed a Xmas tree with the saw. Cut all kinds of things with main or aux blades. There’s a handy model for almost everybody. A kbar on belt & SAK in your pocket is hard to beat.
Excelentes típs para supervivencia en el campo..!! Yo tengo una navaja Suiza, pero no esta tan completa como la del video, ya compraré una igual o mas completa..!! Excelente video.!! Saludos..!! Nice vídeo..!
Using the plastic cordage and then heating it to shrink and tighten is like the natives do with rawhide (wetting it, wrapping it, and letting it dry and shrink) I never thought of that aspect of it! I recall once Tonto was wrongly jailed and he wrapped wet rawhide from his clothing around the window bars, as the rawhide dried it bent the bars enough to let him escape! Go Tonto!
Thank you very much . Make a line from plastic battle to melt with fire to make it stiff . Fantastic . May 9th 2023 Tue. 18:23 from Yokohama City Japan
I have my Swisschamp glued on me even on beach shorts (paracord plus a small carabineer to dangle it from the waistband). Done thousands of things with it.
I'm just a general dad these days outside of my job. On any day off I carry one. Yesterday I used it in the street to quickly put a bike bell that arrived from Amazon on my daughter's bike in the street rather than digging out a screwdriver. The day before go adjust a valve to the toilet. Last weekend it was to cut a stick to size for my daughter to make a sword during a walk. They're so handy. With it being on your person, you find yourself doing small jobs that you otherwise wouldn't get round to doing.
all great but the last one was not needed, you just could bury de stick forming the angle with the log and you could still use your knife. other than that i learned some useful information, thanks.
Quanta legna fresca usi ? non si fa... cerca quella secca, li si vede il vero amante della natura. Le corde si possono fare con i rami tagliati, non con la plastica che non è da portare in natura.
These knives suck. They do everything poorly. The Swiss Army supplies soldiers with a knife that has a blade, a bottle opener, a can opener and a reamer. More than you need.

That wood saw is the best you can find on any multitool.
Interesting! Which models do you prefer?

They are blunt lol
I love the saw on my map walker, cuts through like butter...

Can’t go wrong with a Swiss Army Pocket Knife , thanks for sharing

I never considered a Swiss Army knife a real survival tool. Until now. Great video! I especially like the cordage made from the used plastic bottle.
If I had one next to me, I might use it to cut my phone in pieces. But I don’t, so I keep watching bored men dreaming of having their fight to fight
A Swiss Army Knife is an incredible tool in the hands of someone who knows what to do with it.

Great tips and excellent presentation👍
on my Swiss Army Knife, I typically use the corkscrew to open a bottle of wine, and the knife to open Amazon boxes. But this video is pretty cool.

This was great that was the easiest cordage maker I've seen yet
HOLY COW I've never seen some of these techniques before. Thanks for sharing!

you can beat it with a sak in your pocket+any full tang blade.. 😬
Kbar and SAK is a great combo
All great ideas, but the way you split that log was fantastic.
Excellent! One of best SAK tips and tricks video Ihave seen!

Everyone needs a Swiss Army knife they are incredible tools even the classic sd is amazing and none threatening
Excelente! Un saludo desde Argentina!🇦🇷
Been a long-time Swiss Army knife owner and love them all, excellent video and that log split was genius.
Ive always heard how great the SAK was but never seen it in action until now and my mind is blown...
Mr. Johnny Fire, with always positively surprising. Thanks for sharing.
I love SAK tricks and tips videos. My favorite daily carries are the Explorer and the S18 or S17. A locking blade is hard to beat.

Got my knife 43 years ago. It’s as good as the day I bought it. A great piece of engineering.
I think I like the bottle-to-cordage the best. And the Ranger is my favorite edc model!
What is the model of this Swiss Army Knife ? How many tools ? And the name of the model please !
It could be the Huntsman. Got the same. 15 Tools.
The ranger
Swiss Army knife is a fantastic tool in the hands of anyone who knows the secrets 🇨🇭

I watch a lot of this kind of thing, Felix in particular, but I’ve NEVER seen that tiny magnet and needle trick!!!!
Really great useful video thanks.

Who Www I have the Swiss champion. but only now i see what you can do. thanks for sharing.
Just curious, but would using the Ferro rod on the metal file not make it brittle. I know it doesn't get that hot, but I'm just cautious
That's what I was thinking. The saw has a really nice, sharp spine that will work great for that.... 🤷♂️
Wow this is so useful
Very clever
Really inspiring.
Can we make fire with only this ? 😊 without the fire starter ?
I've got one at home but it's a Cockatoo Camping Army Pocket Knife
Yes, now you have saved our life 😂
amazing 😮
Awesome hacks 👍🏻
Cool way to make plastic cordage!
For what?
where can I buy the small magnet for the hook please?
all great but the last one was not needed, you just could bury de stick forming the angle with the log and you could still use your knife.
other than that i learned some useful information, thanks.
I’m new to owning a Swiss Army knife
No disrespect, these are legit
Demonstrations.
Felix Immler is the original Swiss Army Knife guy for me.

I am buying a Swiss Army Knife soon as I find a video on how to order a Pizza and how to change TV-Channels with it.

Step 1: Throw away your Swiss Army Knife.
Step 2: Purchase a GEC knife.
Step 3: Purchase another GEC knife.
Step 4: Profit.
GEC = no scisors + no saw = no knife
So to get the joke you charge extra?
