Hiiii!!! Hope you’re good. This is my song ''unconscious’ ... A song I wrote when I was around 15 about the Netflix TV series ‘13 reasons Why’. We re-recorded a new version last year, but the original is still on Spotify! I think it’s funny to listen to both versions and compare my 15/16 year old voice to my 19 year old voice 😆

I heard the lyrics through a different viewpoint: I lost my mum when I was 18 years old and she was 42. I just turned 40 a few months ago and I believe very much now that I see the world much closer to how she saw it: with more wisdom and pain and experience. Thank you Luz. Tomorrow Mum will be gone 22 years but when I hear this song it's like I'm able to relate to her all over again. You're a genius and a soul wise beyond your years, Luz. Much love from South Africa.

Thank you for this song. In May of 2021 I overdosed on all of my medications and then some. I layed in my bed...unconscious. When I was found 8 hours later and rushed to the hospital to be placed on life support, the doctors told my friends and family to make all of the important phone calls and to start preparing not only others, but themselves as well because they gave me a 1% chance to make it, if at all...Here I am, not even a year later, sharing with you my testimony. I thank God every day for my life, even though I didn't feel that way for weeks after I saw an angel while I was being kept alive by machines who told me that I wasn't meant to pass away yet, thanks to the lord and the love and prayers and support from my pastor and family in my church, my outlook on life has changed 🙏🏼 I live everyday differently. I live everyday knowing that I am loved. Thank you God for saving me, thank you God for changing me, and again, thank you for this song.
