In this video, you will hear a True Trini talking as we look at Memorial Park also known as "Memorial Square" in Port of Spain, Trinidad. In other words, True Trini Talk. The location is in the country of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Caribbean islands blessed with so much and yet it seems we have lost sight of where we could be. I am going to touch on things that Trinis in their comfort zone will not like to hear because "we like it so" mentality has overridden commonsense at the expense of progress and morality. I am of NO political affiliation or persuasion and while some ignorant people will try to peg me to a politician's agenda my reasoning is only that of a simple citizen of Trinidad and Tobago who laments the direction this sail less country is heading. Therefore, this video is for the Trinis who understand what it really means to be a Trinbagonian... a TRUE TRINI... the ones who knew what Trinidad and Tobago was like years ago.

HI,You hit on some very good points here but as someone who lived in Trinidad back in 1960s i have lived in Canada since then.the issues you raise seem to be common to alot of places around the world these days sadly not just T&T lack of respect for each other and at times politicians seem to encourage this but most people do have a sense of right and wrong and awareness of their culture and history.but there is no doubt these are complex times.i do hope issues around crime and gangs can be dealt with in T&T and elsewhere the country is too good and has alot going for it and the people deserve better! you are not alone in this regards Cheers

Thanks for your thoughts. Some like to compare this tiny group of islands to the rest of the larger world, but for me, they should not. The level of what is described here is beyond the ratio of this small place. The frequency is far greater than the biggest countries in the world!
