"See! You've gotta have faith! Just gitaxian probe, don't pay the blue, they might have a daze! No! You can't be scared! You don't show up with zero land in your deck if you're scared!"
-Patrick Chapin
I loved how he rolled up his sleeve and tidied up the play area before dat flip. Epic.
That was absolutely beautiful. John Torrez, if you ever see this I love you.
RNGesus spoke:"let there be topdeck"
most epic topdeck ever
dat topdeck
There is a pauper deck like this with hunting misery. No force of will in pauper:)
Lands? Where we're going we don't need lands.
What a game 3
A-Mazing! I'm assembling this deck!
TOP DECK HYPE
Kind of funny how Wilson's maindeck sort of packs hate for Oops with Stifles.
23:24 oops !!!
My personal name for oops all spells is "Look mom, no friends!"
I didn't know John Oliver played magic
He tapped the Maniac and not Azami in the first win.
cuz there both humans
wizards*
how do these kids have the bank to play these decks ?
one of these days these people are going to be smart against this deck and add artifact hate instead of graveyard hate because they know whats going to happen
+Hooded Creeper That's exactly what happened here?
love it when player of expensive decks like RUG delver lose game 1 to a cheap deck like all spells, just because they don't know the deck and don't use their fow in the right way.
cheap ? all spells is not cheap ... lions eye diomond !
To be fair, you only need the lion's eye diamonds if you want to do the Belcher sideboard plan...which as you saw game 2 isn't even a very effective plan. I don't play Oops, but I prefer the idea of just sideboarding in a reactive fashion to people's hate cards.
(I also prefer the variant that uses Underworld Cerberus instead of Angel of Glory's Rise and Azami, since it's one less card that you have to avoid being in your hand, which also means you have one more slot to jam some more combo protection like Pact of Negation or Cabal Therapy. If you're wondering how that the Cerberus works, you sacrifice the dread returned Cerberus to a cabal therapy, which triggers the Cerberus returning all creatures to your hand. You then use some combination of Elvish/Simian Spirit guides and Wild Cantor to cast Lab Maniac and cycle Street Wraith to draw a card)
Darth Syhr first, let me say thank you for finding this video for me! second, I play this in legacy too. Have you found that the Cerberus plan just get's your Lab Maniac countered when you try to cast it? that's been my hold up going with that plan.
MSNking14 If your opponent has a force, they'll counter Balustrade Spy/Undercity Informer, unless they're obscenely greedy. You'll also see their hand with cabal therapy when you sacrifice Underworld Cerberus, so you'll know what form of interaction they have. I personally think the Cerberus shell is better, because it means you're less likely to have to cabal therapy yourself to remove a combo piece, since the only ones that NEED to be in your grave are the Cerberus and the Dread Return.
To the best of my knowledge, both variants of Oops lose to the same interactive cards (stifle and counterspells), but the Cerberus variant just requires one less card, meaning you can jam one more protective card (like pact of negation).
Also, you're welcome lol. I loved this video, it's one of the best topdecks I've ever seen.
Darth Syhr thanks for the insight. i'm just trying to gather as much information as i can to make the deck better. have you tried the shell with 4 chancellor of the annex? that's what I'm currently running and it's worked out quite well (for the limited amount of time I've run it).
I never thought I’d call a delver deck fair. All y’all talking about topdeck, I thought you meant for delver, not the garb combo deck. Combo decks are trash, cheering when one wins is a morally bankrupt activity.
wtf is this format...how is a turn one win enjoyable for anyone?
