Thank you for uploading this. I love this movie. It came out 5 years before i was born. My parents owned a vhs copy of it. Ill never forget the first time i watched it. It was my first zombie movie and i loved it. I wore out that vhs every chance i got. A couple of years later my parents bought me a DVD of Dawn of the Dead and i loved it. George created something that is intrinsically woven into my childhood. I am so grateful for all the things these people did to create it. It was really cool to watch them talk about it. SO thank you again for uploading it.
I am glad to see my good friend Barry Gress was recognized in this movie and he was the one that got me to be an applied zombie and meet all the great people involved. I was in 5 scenes and you cant see me in any of them. Thanks Barry, Rest in peace buddy !
"Day of the Dead is my masterpiece." I'm glad Tom Savini says this here. Wholeheartedly agree. And I'm glad they used John Harrison's music throughout as I never tire of hearing it. This and Creepshow are my two favourite soundtracks of all time. The movie has its flaws but is possibly my most loved film of any film. It bombed on release, which is sad but perhaps people wanted another Dawn. Day, at the time, was a very extreme movie and it's relentless dark mood, profanity and brutal violence made for a pretty intense watch. It's great that it has a lot of love these days. I think if Romero had been given the budget for his full vision, it might have opened well but I expect had less longevity. Day is an absolute classic and will be discovered by new generations for a long time.
"Histoplasmosis is a disease caused by an infection with a fungus known as Histoplasma capsulatum, which is common in the environment, most frequently in association with bird or bat droppings. Some people also refer to the disease as "cave disease." The infection can cause a lung disease similar to pneumonia in some people. In some cases, the infection spreads throughout the body, known as disseminated disease."
The drugs that must of been done due in the shoot of this film would of been insane lol Dr Fill good who OD lol I think he was supplying more than vitamins lol 😂😂😂..this film for me is a master piece were form followed function everyone gave 150% to get this film done and boy did it show even today in 2023 the practical effects still stand up I all ways enjoy watching this movie and still find Easter eggs from time to time this movie had everything I could of watch film after film with this cast in it simply put DOTD is a master class of horror cinematography 🎉
A perfect template for every zombie movie. Just stick to this formula. The humans have to be way more horrible that the situation they are in. The protagonist have to find their way out through both of these obstacles.
The acting was great. Everybody A+ performances. I saw this in the drive in when I was around 8 years old. Still love it and still scares me.
The gore and feeling of pure despair made this the greatest zombie movie ever

Lori had my all time favorite line in the entire movie- "Yes sir! FUCK YOU, sir!"
I was always a fan of "Choke on em!" i mean i know it's cliche but "it just works"
