I agree. Jumping off a ledge, resetting the game and Walking through walls for 1 min is a bit boring to watch. Its fun for once but after that i just want to see the game
@@abouttime2569 I like some of them, but some glitched runs take glitches too far. Like a dragon quest run is about heating up the console so you can glitch warp to the credits. At that point it's not even playing the game lol
Hey Andy I’ve been watching a lot of your runs lately. New ALTTP NMG speed runner here, and I was just wondering what kind of controller do you use? Currently all I have is an Xbox controller, but most of the people I’ve seen have been using SNES controllers and I’m not sure how. Is there some kind of USB conversion device for SNES controllers?
if you change screens on the same frame you enter the water (you need to be jumping in 1 pixel away from the screen transition) then you skip the part where the game checks if you have flippers or not. Beware if you take any damage in the water while doing this you will soft lock your game.
If you light the left torch before the right torch goes out, then the right one will never go out :) Not sure if it is exclusive to ALTTP v1.1 Japanese though.
It's called no MAJOR glitches, so yes, there will be some glitches lol and this is considered minor, since it saves only a few seconds over just walking up the normal way. If you want a closer to authentic run look for one played on the English version since it has way less glitches (item dashing/speed boost/early flippers) are all Japan exclusive I believe. Or just look for glitchless runs which I find way less entertaining but some people enjoy.

This took me 100's of hours and I was insanely proud that I beat it at all
I got the master sword in a little over 2 hours on my first playthrough in 20+ years not trying to be quick. I'm pretty proud of that.

I mean it was a glitch but it doesnt count as major so its not against the rules.
Just as you enter the water you transmission yourself on another area, so you are able to swim just like if you have the Zora flippers

This might be a bit late but an indication of to light it for me is the last tile going down in the left row. Shortly after the torch will go out
