- Aliens come to Earth....A premise done a thousand times before in cinema, but the path in discovering why are they here is what makes this one different. Here's my review of "Arrival"

They better make a sequel of this movie in 3,000 years.
3000 years.. I felt sad when the anthropods or whatever said that
Its non linear time to them, 3000 years could mean seconds away. They were talking about the chinese attacking them. They needed her to make the phone call.
with a giant lasurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
@@mashedpotatoes209 As Roadman said, Time isn't linear to them. They could have meant 3000 years starting at any point on our timeline. It is considered by us to be the year 2019 after all (Recorded history being ~2500 years old). Something to think about.

After Prisoners, Sicario, and now Arrival.... Denis Villeneuve is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors.
ragingfiip have you seen Enemy?
I haven't.
ragingfiip if you want another mind bender like Arrival I highly recommend Enemy haha, also directed by yours truly Denis Villeneuve
And then Blade Runner 2049
He is directing DÚÑË
Arrival is another masterpiece from Villeneuve. A film that will leave you speechless and will be remembered for decades. Easily best movie of the year so far. 9.9/10
Hamza Joozer hacksaw ridge is better for me personally
Um, why 9.9? My OCD is going off the charts
Matthew Olls just saw both holy shit what a day at the cinema. Both were amazing.
If you're going to give it a 9.9, then you may as well give it a 10.
9.9? That's the most redundant thing I've ever heard.
Arrival is potentially one of the most brilliant movies of all time.
TheHPExperiment NOPE,,,,,SLOW AND CONFUSION
TheCladi8or Clearly, you are not intelligent enough to understand it.
Other than Amy Adam's acting i nearly fell asleep from this slow movie.
God is not great. They don't exactly speak English, you dumb fuck.
With this level of intelligence you possess I'm contemplating how you learned to access a UA-cam comments section
God is not great. They had to show up to teach the language, because humans needed to know it to help them in the future. Did you watch the ending?
That twist near the ending of the movie is what made me love it even more
i have to travel 3 hours, or 2 by boat to see this movie. welcome to norway.
Krestian Kvart it would be worth it. serious.
nosuchthing8 i am considering it :)
Krestian Kvart GO
you have watched movie now ......haven't you?!
UNREAL REALITY yes i did, and i fucking loved it. :)
Is it me or does Jeremy look more HD
English Pizza yeah new cam maybe
English Pizza there's a spotlight on his face from offscreen that's not usually there
looks like better lighting
its cause he is closer to camera then the usual
Better lighting!
BEST Sci-Fi Film I've seen in Years... no doubt.
this movie is a fucking piece of crap
andres urdaneta You were probably just too stupid to understand it, bud.
The concept of the written/verbal language was amazing..
Smart person's Science Fiction........ala Isaac Asimov's work.
With interstellar :)
Just watched it. Amazing. That's it. That's all I have to say.
I agree with Nonameslol and A44 8 in that it is a great movie, very awesome but I found it a little confusing! There were too many flash backs/memories where the movie starts out at beginning but really it was ending so I couldn't figure out the order of things happening: Introduction, middle, conclusion
Josh Chen That's what I loved most about the movie. Like right before it ended, everything made sense. *spoiler alert* the sequence of the movie was lecture hall -> aliens -> baby. If you remember, at the beginning of the movie the dad was blurred out. All you were able to see was the mom and the baby, indicating that they intentionally didn't want us to know who the dad is and that there will be a character build up for him. Also at the point where the girl asks the mom about her dad. Louise snaps into her final character and basically describes her weapon. That I think was the first reveal of the movie. In addition to the flashbacks of her daughter, which now we know where not flashbacks, but ... flash-forwards... basically seeing the future which is the weapon she now had. Notice she never cries or shows any deep emotion about all these events, except that she was always tired and confused. Again hinting that she didn't know what were those things she was experiencing. OMG the more I describe this movie the more it makes sense lol, this is definitely watch a second time kind of movie.
Nonameslol did you think the last thing Ian said was off? In the middle of an emotional scene "do you want to make a baby ? " lol wtf
Seriously Yavi I thought it was too but the reason he said was to make you remember that she knows what "having a baby" means, she knows the baby will die
Seriously Yavi yea i did feel that way buy I aldo agree with what @vivelajonny mentioned.
Jeremy, I think your cinematic palette has been maturing and I like that. I feel like 5 years ago you wouldn't have liked this movie.
Chris Kostaras the jeremy who reviewed drive all those years ago would not have liked this movie.
he would have called it a tour de force lmao
You are more lenient than I !
New light? Or camera? Cant tell but you look handsome
Max Krampe he moved to LA so probably a different set up altogether. He may even have filmed it at Collider Studios where he works now.
He moved to LA, so probably new lighting and set up
Looks like different lighting.
Max Krampe LA lighting...
Are you implying he hasn't always been handsome????
I'm a big fan of Isla Fisher, so I'm definitely gonna watch this.
It's Amy Adams
How can you tell ?
Have you seen Nocturnal Animals
This is funny and Its sad because not many people will get the joke...
Madalin Grama Uh-huh... be sure to use some lube next time so you don't get so butthurt... :)
it felt like interstellar meets signs.....God it was amazing.....unlike interstellar which I still love a little more.....this ending was something I didn't see coming from any direction....but upon further contemplation it fits perfectly
Ernest Sacco Interstellar meets Signs? Oh so Contact
if you know and watch movies then half way in you know the outcome just that simple really wished it did more wasted my time and money
needs2 know
Without spoiling it, what is this "life lesson" that all the liberal movie reviewers are clamoring on about?
B4TT3RY the overarching theme I would image is don't let fear drive violence and intolerance.....is that a good enough description?
Ernest Sacco
Yeah that's pretty good I guess. Would you say it's trying to push the "we should fear ourselves more than we fear aliens"?
its funny, I saw Dr strange at 5:25 pm then Arrival at 7:45 and enjoyed Arrival more than Strange.
its not funny, you have brains thats why
bustinasscoach It's an Inception type movie, it's a sci-fi movie for people who like to think they're deep... There are way to many holes in it to be considered good by someone with a brain. For example, if Amy experiences time, after learning the language, instantaneously, then she should know the language the whole time and not have to bother with learning it during the course of this movie, no? And she shouldn't have to recall, linearly (like in the scene with the Chinese general), the contents of her future memories because she experienced that event instantaneously and should be able to just recall that information from her mind. These are just a few of the problems I had that prevented me from enjoying the movie. If I could have them explained and I'm just being dumb getting caught up on nothing let me know, because I did like the core ideas of this movie. Maybe I'm being too critical but I just can't get over these things.
Wreckingcrew Honestly, It was a story about a mother who knew she was going to lose her daughter and asked the question "Would you choose to spare yourself the pain of watching your child die in exchange for losing all the years you spent loving her?" The aliens and all that really were secondary, the point was the choice she had to make. You do have to accept a few of its ideas at face value though.
Wreckingcrew on a related topic; I don't believe in "time" as a natural force. Its a man made creation for the sole purpose of easing our own minds. I believe "This moment" is the same moment that has always been. Things do grow as nutrients are absorbed but the effect that breaks it all down is entropy. Wind, sun, chemical build up and just plain use breaks all things down to its original base. If we could eliminate the effect of entropy, we would not need the idea of time as a measuring stick. Just my weird take on it.
Wreckingcrew She doesnt fully understand the language until the Aliens give her their "gift, she starts having foggy visions as she slowly learns the language but it's not until she gets the gift from the Aliens that she is fully able to understand the language, but she doesn't know that yet
She doesn't fully understand what the visions she is having mean until the Aliens first tells her how they view time and then right after that the Asian guy gives her the number, then she realizes exactly what is happening.
Jeremy Jahns=Robbie Rotten with a beard and a sport jacket

We are number one but every one is a movie review.
Ben - Wrong thread???
And without cancer :(
I read Bonnie Rotten first ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Whoa! Jeremy Jahns in 4k Video is...
Awesometacular.
worth it to buy on blu-ray.
Nah.. It's fine. But you're probably not gonna remember it in T-Minus 5 videos.
i had a good time .... i´m drunk !
... yeahh, now it´s a Jahns
and it's a good time, no alcohol required!
I guess it isn’t *Dogshit* eh?
What changed? New lights? New camera? New green screen or software?
New geographical location.
Or new Jeremy.
OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED ITS DIFFERENT BUT I LOVE IT!
looks like a new camera and lighting.
He moved, so clearly he has a new set up
You look so hd did you get a new camera? Or new light stand?
This movie was a masterpiece. Pure and simple, and it's funny because like quite a few of the best movies of all time, it's based on a story. But, what you said Jeremy, with the last act being the most sci-fi and needing to be more open, absolutely, but irregardless, it worked because it does make sense, and it is based in science like the following two acts. It's still hard sci-fi, but considering the build to it, it worked and works because there wasn't any other possible outcome. All I know, is this better be the first sci-fi movie to win Best Picture. Definitely Denis Villeneuve's best movie yet.
"Based in science" with the magical time perception granted by learning their language. Just like how all _pseudo_science is "based" on science.
*****
No.
First of all, physical laws were discovered with more than just math, and where subsequently substantiated and codified in math.
Secondly, as an example, having the mathematical knowledge of being able to express extra-dimensional math (which is a thing we can actually do), does not suddenly alter your perceptions of dimensions.
It's as ridiculous as saying, the knowledge gained via the language of math, regarding the light spectrum, suddenly allowed John Doe _to see in _*_infrared_* with his naked eyes! Ridiculous. Your organs don't gain fucking super powers just because you know of something.
unfortunately a nomination, but not every movie gets that!
This movie was pretty to look at, but plot wise and conceptually, it was a fucking mess and wanted to be much smarter than it was.
It is simple ok ! It made sense to me so I call a psychiatrist friend to make sure that I was ok .
this video looks different...
I think it's the lighting?
Frederik Isen recorded in a different place. where collider is at I think
Xd
Moved to L.A
he moved, so thing be little different
this is the best movie of the year
God is not great. Bullshit.
It’s my favorite of all time
this director is probably one of the few that can make slow paced movies but keep you engaged throughout the film.
Are you being honest ? This movie is so slow it ran it to itself at the end .
Two movies starring Amy Adams released in the same month... I don't know if it's my lucky month or not...
What's the other
Tom Hanks I believe it's Nocturnal Animals
1UP Arcade which she is probably gonna win an Oscar for
homesponge She must of just had sex😝😝😝
i saw that somewhere and was thinking ''oh oh, movie with weird name, and a weirder picture'' is it that good?
Supes hasn't even been gone a year and lois is already hopping on Hawkeye....and he's already married
Just saw this movie!! 2019!! Really good true sci-fi movie! If you like real sci fi that isn't bogged down with action for cheap thrills and fills, you want a good "thinking " movie with excellent acting and plot, this is for you!!
Finally Jeremy's review has arrived
I see what you did there.....very clever!
I loved how the fact that she does a lot of stuff throughout the movie, BUT the most courageous thing she did was such a "mundane" thing, JUST because she knew what happened. Loved it.
I wonder who was texting Jeremy during the video.
AeroRomeo Jeff was
AeroRomeo your mother
What? Certainly not any of our business.
Johnson Taylor delet comment
EMMSixteenA4 stealing all my likes :D
Jeremy looks a little... Off. New camera or something?
Different lighting
Sure looks like it. Lot crisper
He is in Los Angeles. His earlier videos were from when he was in Seattle. That's why his videos look a bit different now. He is a full time crew member of Collider Videos now.
Maybe he was replaced and this is a fake Jeremy.
I think he had his eyebrows sculpted.
It was slow but I keep thinking about it. Awesome!
Chad Burnett I completely disagree. I don't think it's slow in the slightest. It's a series of scenes that prompt the viewer to beg for more information, all masterfully handled at that. It's incredible
Even when it's done I want to watch more, I wanted to know more about these beings. Sad that they've left so soon and the possibility of a sequel is probably incredible slim
I just keep thinking about the 2 hours of my life I waste watching this movie
Chad Burnett it was OK I like that the aliens came to save the earth instead of destroying it that's cool but would they had given a dam if they didn't need us to survive cause they did say they are helping us because in three thousand years they will need our help but if they didn't need our help they probably would not had helped us at all lol and the movie also doesn't explain how Louise already had the power to see the future before even learning their language so that's a plot hole
Fabian69 I don't think the ones in the beginning she saw before the movie started. And for the rest, the more she learned the language, the more of the future she could see
Loving the new lighting in your videos man! 🔥
Gentle, Intelligent, profound, creative, and all topped off with an emotionally powerful ending that just breaks you. MASTERPIECE!!
As he said, it's a slow burn, but Ioved it
This has to be super HD. The lighting REALLY puts Jeremy in the foreground.
Greg Barbosa I know right.
I GOT TO SEE THE EARLY SCREENING AND I WAS JUST WAITING ANXIOUSLY FOR THIS!!!!
its so good
Alberto F no
Alberto F you didn't get an early screening
I think the Aliens tried to contact you Jeremy.
Explains your phone ringing twice.
The new camera.... You change it like every few months. It's sick tho
That's not all he changed
Maddni Arslan I think its at a friends house
The Vagabond collider.com/jeremy-jahns-movie-talk/
Just rewatched Arrival on Paramount Plus and want to talk to someone about it. Turns out I am somewhere with people I can’t talk about it right now so I will suffice to hear your opinion on the subject matter. Here we are 5 years later and this movie still gives me goose bumps. What a premise and even though I knew what would happen looking at it with a 5 year more mature lense just makes me appreciate it that much more. Thanks for being there for me 5 years ago. Would love to meet you sometime cause I think we could talk movies for days. Have a great week!
a reply from Jeremy will make my day
David Ross let him want what he wants
looks like you're going to have a bad day
David Ross it was worth a shot 😂
I hope he ignores your pathetic need for validation.

Hey Jeremy, are you gonna review nocturnal animals starring Amy Adams, Jake Gylenhall and Michael Shannon?
David Evans it's amazing
David Evans if its about sex, then Jeremy is definitely INNIEeeee
Nice secondary lighting Jahns. Looking good

Why do I feel like I'm tied up in Jeremy's basement looking up at him from a torture rack?
...oh, head-on lighting.
I was waiting for the 'arrival' of this review!
get out XD
Dexter Morgan please close the door on your way out!
I freaking love that movie infact Arrival is my favorite movie movie. Meaning not counting comic book movies or animates movies
JEREMY JAHNS REMASTERED GAMEPLAY PS4/XBOX1 HD 720P
Does the frame rate look different to anyone?
Nighttray It still beats that weird 60fps phase he went through a few months ago.
I think he also changed up the lighting a bit
Nighttray i think he moved to la so now his setting is different
Awesome job Jeremy! Always a pleasure watching your reviews.
Oh and Jeremy, the concept embodied by the end scenario is a concept that is explored in PMH Atwaters book, I won't give the book title because it spoils the ending. But it is a concept that Einstein and Hawking have also given some weight to. This is why I say this is real sci fic, not action adventure with aliens movie number 5,283.
Batman Laughed I read the short story it was based on
nosuchthing8
Oh yeah, what's the name of the book, I didn't realize this was based on anything.
Edit:
Just read up on Ted Chaing's book, gonna have to pick that one up. The Sapir-Whorf Theory sounds fascinating, in conjunction with Atwaters work it really drives the sci part of the sci fic home for this movie. Thanks for the info.
Prisoners: Buy it on BluRay
Enemy: Tour de Force (You either love it or hate it)
Sicario: Awesometacular
Arrival: Seeing it this weekend
I would personally swap your Prisoners and Sicario's ratings
+Andres Iniesta Agreed
Isaac Carmichael Nah, Sicario was just this rating: Got High to It lol (drugs are featured.....)
UPDATE: Arrival is Denis Villeneuve's best film to date, it was my favorite movie of 2016, and it's one of my favorite movies of all time.
I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the movie was shot and how well the sound designs worked. I went in expecting a story where human love triumphs again because of the opening scenes. In a way it still is about love but done in a way I didn't see coming at all. The movie surprised me on so many levels and it is definitely a worthy movie to watch even before Dr Strange
did you change your lighting? I feel distracted with the red background with the cooler color temperature of the new lights (or bad white balance/filter)
Great review as always! Can't wait to see Arrival!
You think this is going to win Amy Adams her Oscar? If Jennifer Lawerence steals it I'm gonna be pissed.
eh this year is rather crowded for best actress, I think adams could get nominated again, I don't think passengers will
L. T C. What did Jennifer Lawrence even do this year to be nominated in the first place ?
Mario Alvarez passengers but I don't think its award worthy
Mario Alvarez Passengers. tbh most of what's she's in isn't award worthy but the academy has a boner for her. I mean last year she was nominated for Joy a terrible movie so it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities that she would be nominated again.
L. T C. eh it was also a david O russell indie film, passengers looks like a blockbuster which unless its very good the academy usually doesn't go for
Where are you now, Jeremy? Different lighting, or different place?
Place
Shuriken Knight not true. just goes to LA to film for screen junkies plus. still lives in Washington
Keegan Holland he works at collider, he's moved to LA he talked about it on movie talk
Landon Wilson He is where there's sex!!!
I don't like the light change
Hey Jeremy, Congratulations on joining collider man! i always thought that should happen! Been watching you both for a long time. you were my first UA-cam subscription and I watch each and every vid
You as a youtuber and a reviewer inspired me to start my own channel! Happy I get to start with a review on this film in particular. I agree with you Jeremy, it's awesome!
SPOILERS
I like how the Heptathapods and Louise are basically Dr Manhattan.
I thought he was gonna give it a Good Time if You're Drunk because Jeremy looks lit.
Hey Jeremy. I'm thinking of getting into movie reviewing on UA-cam. I'm a massive movie fan and I work at a movie theatre. I was wondering if u had tips for what to say in review. Do you write notes or plan what to say before you film? I'd really appreciate feedback
My first impression of Arrival was Michael Crichton's _Sphere_ too. They share similar premises in that they both start off with a contact with an extraterrestrial intelligence and end up as an exploration of the human condition. Even the damn spaceship is a spheroid. I have to admit I forgot how good of an actress Amy Adams is after the Man of Steels, but she was at her American Hustle best here.
This film was well the worth the wait I guess you could say I'm happy it's finally ARRIVED
After all the UA-cam ads for this movie I've had to see, it better be awesometacular.
EricTheKartoonKing I saw it, it is good, not great. Its more of a one trick pony movie like sixth sense or unbreakable. Once you get to the end and you figure out the puzzle its cool.
I thought it was really good--far better than the trailers suggest. It's definitely not an action Independence Day-type movie, though. It's clearly slower and more thoughtful. I liked all of the great themes and symbolism throughout. I was really surprised to learn that the screenwriter is best known for movies like Final Destination 5. Such a different genre! Not that you can't do other things, just that it surprised me to see this was so different from his other credits.
Loving the new camera work Jeremy. The slight change really works
The number of movies that I've watched because you've recommended them since The Expendables (the first one) came out is, well, quite high. Arrival is the most recent, and it didn't disappoint!
Thanks for being great at what you do!
-From Ottawa, Canada.
I was enthralled from start to finish. It had Denis Villenueve's captivating camerawork all over this film, especially zooming in on the main character's face with a faded background. MINOR SPOILER: I love how the beginning connects with the final minutes of the film. END MINOR SPOILER. I was intrigued and got almost emotional in the end. I got home and still thinking about this powerful film. There's one scene involving a timer (don't want to mention the exact type of item 😜) and what happened next, took my breath away. Loved everything about the film: the cinematography, the (haunting) score, the acting, the writing, and the direction. I find it sad when most people only go to the movies so they can turn off their brain. Pathetic proof: "Arrival" received a B Cinemascore.😒😳😕
I love thought provoking films like this. It was a masterpiece imo. All the people who hated films like inception will hate this.
I hated Inception........................but I liked this. Guess I'm the exception.
@@LegendaryManSlayer93, so... Most of the people who think Marvel Cinematic Universe is the greatest thing ever hated this movie.
Loved it! We saw it tonight and it was what other reviewers told me it would be ( no Independence Day) which was great and the message and twist was really well done. I am really glad I saw this !
I haven't seen a film so great in years. last time was cloud atlas which had a similar topic. I was blown away by the visuals telling the story too. like when she was going through the curved hallway in the hospital at the beginning it mirrored the cycle of time theme even before you knew what was coming in regards to the storyline. I'm gonna watch it again in cinemas, as the sound and cinematography was just amazeballs
Loving the new setup Jeremy! Going to watch this tomorrow :)
So wait you gave this movie an awesometacular rating and Doctor Strange buy on blue-ray? Should have been the other way around imo
Great review as always. I must have missed something on first watch at the Cinema, but on rewatching on the small screen at home it made so much more sense and I totally got the whole story. Absolutely brilliant movie in all areas. A must see for Sci-fi fans, Top Draw :)
same here! It went so under the radar the first time I saw I totally forgot about the ending! It was sooo goood! Idk how the F I didn't remember much of this movie.
Watched your review 3 months ago but took me till today to finally watch Arrival - and it was completely mind blowing! Only Best Picture nominated movie I've seen for 2017 and I'm totally rooting for it to win the Oscar tonight.
I love all of your reviews! I love going to movies and these reviews are really cool to listen to!!
Just walked out of seeing it tonight. It's movie of the year quality minimum. It's the first movie where i actually had that 'edge of my seat' feeling. I'm genuinely blown away. There's so much that the movie leaves you thinking about and leaves plenty to unpack. I love it. Among my favourite movies of all time. A must see. It's a one of a kind experience. Can't stop gushing since i walked out. Send help.
new CAMERA FOR MR JAHNS :p
I think it's the same camera, but different lighting.
He moved to LA to be part of the Collider Videos crew. Hence the slight change in the video quality.

wow! Love the new lighting Jeremy!
Oh jeez I am so excited for this movie and after hearing both your and Cinefix's reviews of it, it sounds like it is exactly what I've been hoping it will be.
"Alright phone"
Haha
dude your face looks brightly lit on right side in this videos than the previous videos!!
Jeremy your face looked like Luke in ROTJ when he was caught between light and dark!!!!
New studio since he moved.
Vishal Ganapathi is he in the coilder studio?
Gareth Owen yes he moved to LA
Love the new lighting, Jeremy!
I loved it so much. I love how we have a sci-fi movie where the focus is on linguistics and communication rather than physics or shooting matches or something. I love how it explored ideas on how we bring our own prejudices with us when trying to communicate with others, how you go about doing something like this and.... yeah. Love it. I've been waiting for this movie for years, and I hadn't realised until I saw it.
The last third/act/thingy I agree with you. The most sci-fi bit in the movie in many ways but like you I enjoyed it and am all on board with it - and I think it asks a bunch of questions in itself which are also interesting.
this movie was amazing. it's probably not for everyone as the people i went with did not understand it. and i loved the 'twist' that jeremy talked about.
will you marry me?
I find it odd that so many people find the movie confusing and don't understand it. I thought it was told in a very understandable and straight-forward way and was exceedingly well-made.
mauwiepaws it was OK I like that the aliens came to save the earth instead of destroying it that's cool but would they had given a dam if they didn't need us to survive cause they did say they are helping us because in three thousand years they will need our help but if they didn't need our help they probably would not had helped us at all lol and the movie also doesn't explain how Louise already had the power to see the future before even learning their language so that's a plot hole
Post Election Jeremy: Bright light on his face now lol
Are you going to review the cw shows, and the upcoming crossover on the 28th, btw you can catch up on their app, arrow so far I think has been the best
Hey Jeremy, which video was the one where you were in the middle of a review and your stage light went out, but you didn't bother editting it out?
who else just arrived from the movie theatre watching this masterpiece?
Most difficult question me and my bf can't answer: If you could see your life from birth till death would you change anything? Because over time lessons are learned if you change everything would you even have the people you love in your life? ughh Finally I got a headache from a movie🎂🎁🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
The losses are as important as the gains. Otherwise, how do you develop an aversion to one and gravitation to the other if there is no comparison. Right?
Loved this flick. After Kubo and Sing Street, it's my favorite movie of the year so far.
I really loved the ending, especially when she new (and maybe him) about their child. the child in the movie really makes sense at the end and reminded me of age of adaline in how they either have lived a long time and see things repeat themselves or know what's to come
I thought this movie sucked.
This film is fantastic. The narrative supports the premise of the story beautifully. It's well shot, has a great heart and is well acted. Best of 2016 (so far, looking at you Rogue One).
And don't forget the imagery and parallels between the two parts of the story. So much thought into this movie. Below for some are some spoilers....
The shot with the house window and the inside the pod is the main example. But there was also the doors into the house how they were like the process of suiting up for the sessions in the pod. And so many more that fully make this movie
Loving the light and camera combo, so let's keep that going
This movie was exceptional
Very reminiscent of my favorite sci-fi masterpiece, 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Isn't it though? Elements of it reminded me of Solaris (1972) as well.
I'm so stoked to watched this movie, especially after your review. I LOVED Prisoners and Sicario, for very much the same reasons that you seem to love Arrival. Expectations tho...
PS. Nice work with the lighting on this one, you're looking real crisp up there :)
I saw this movie yesterday, one of the stand-outs this year for me, pretty much blew my mind, a nice refreshing change from the formulaic superhero and action flicks that have been saturating the market at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I like a good superhero movie, but it's good to get something that makes you actually think once in a while.
