  • After World War II, Jewish organizations were looking for Jewish children who survived the Holocaust. Some of them were found by their parents or relatives. Sometimes Polish caretakers did not want giving the children back, because the bond between them and rescued children was strong. How many Jewish children survived the Holocaust? How was the moment of parting children with the rescuers after the war? We present Polish and Jewish accounts on the Holocaust from the oral history collection of POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
