The celestial hurricanium would be enough to move that DLC in my opinion. But getting Boris as an FLC lord and Elseph Von Drakken as a DLC lord would be amazing, especially if they brought the cult of Ulric as well
When you brought up Franz's dragon mount, you said that he'll get the dragon when he thinks Deathclaw won't be enough. When you said that, I am imagining a trailer for ME in TW: Warhammer 3 and it shows him riding out to face chaos atop the dragon mount. I feel that would be the perfect time to release it as a official mount for him. Also, question to everyone: instead of the Mortal Empires mode being called, well... "Mortal Empires" you guys think it would be more fitting if it was called, "End Times"?
Even during the Endtime Karl Franz rode Deathclaw. It appears to me, that the Imperial Dragon is a response for kids crying, they want the Empire having a dragon. Note, that the dragon also never got a model. The dragon had some fun, roasting beastmen when they ran in the menagerie though.
Be interesting to see Ulric heros with buffs for the Ulric units similar to what we see with High Elf Batman and his mistwalkers. Just a thought. Great video as always.
The Empire could really use a system of skins for a bunch of units that would either be purely cosmetic (ie. pick Sigmar/Ulric for RP purposes) or have very slight stat differences (a bit more armour or charge bonus for different types of knights). It's a bit of a dilemma since completely ignoring them feels like a waste, but including absolutely everything as a unique unit would clutter the roster. The same system could be used for forest/night/vanilla goblins, High Elf spearmen from different kingdoms etc. Then again, Ulric stuff has been ignored so systematically that it makes me think the third game will have either a big dlc focused on them or some kind of Ulrican crusade into the Badlands will act as both their introduction and the excuse to have the Empire represented on the new map.
I say cluster that roster up. Are you gonna say Chaos shouldnt get there masive roster and bloated with unique units. I think these two factions need it hell each elector count could have there own rosters as big as the current roster for the empire and it be awesome
The Marienburg Class Landship wasn't created by the Burgomeisters of Marienburg, but they commissioned it in Nuln, where they came up with the design when they failed to replicate the Steam Tank.
Ludwig and Kurt could be interesting because they could start off on campaign somewhere. Ludwig could start in ostland and be in a campaign against Slaanesh I believe? Where he could campaign to take out sigvald or something if sigvald were to have a different start position in say, the middle of Norsca. Kurt could possibly bring imperial representation to the game 3 map.
I rather ludwig be a legendary hero. in lore from what i know he doesn't lead armies but he does journey out on the emperors behalf and that would work perfectly for a hero along with giving karl a strong bodyguard. and for the game 3 map to work they'll already need imperial reps given it would be the end times
@@TheGreatBookofGrudges true ... but maybe a trade option so you can buy the ships and over unice units ? Marienburg is famous for its trade after all ^^
@@Malusdarkblades11 Marienburg didn't actually create the Landships, they merely bought them. All of them were/are engineered and manufactured in Nuln.
thats a fun idea but they would never do that. the landship is a massive unit that would be the star of the dlc it would arrive in and would require alot of animation and such just like the rogue idol. making it restricted like that is a good way to make people annoyed
I think Valten may come but only if we see some End Times themed DLC packs come in. It would be a shame to miss out on him but since we currently have little to no info on game 3 at the moment its currently in the air at the moment
3:49 there are only 8 steam tanks and the empire can't make more, while these things can be made more. steam tanks should receive a buff and then be made limited while these things would be the mass vehicles alongside war wagons.
I imagine all Elector Counts should have buffs towards their armies: Marius: charge bonus and flaming attacks for all knights. Hochland: bonuses for hand gunners, pistoliers and standard outriders. Increased missile damage, AP, range, stalk, unspotabble etc. Ostland; could have access to some of the Kislevite unit roster. With Ostermark; I just feel they should move volkmar there so he can crusade against chaos and the vamps. Stirland; could have access to some halfling units and have immunity to vampiric attrition and public order penalties and have increased leadership against the undead. Talabecland; could have some Taal themed units and mechanics. When imperial rights are implemented they could have access to a priest of taal which could be a jade wizard/huntsmen general type character. Also could have some unique huntsmen and archer variants. Nuln; benefits to artillery, master engineers, steamtanks and land ships, recruitment cost, initial rank extra range and damage. Also perhaps to research rate. Also That multishot unique gunner pls. Nordland: benefits to trade and universal aquatic traits once they capture marienburg, benefits to archer units once they take out Laurelorn, frenzy on melee infantry once they capture the drakwald from the green skins. Middemheim: ulrican unit roster and a unique rite when old world factions gain access to them. Also Borises campaign against beast men.
With the twisted and the twilight coming out and seeing the Wargrove of woe coming out I could see (emphasis on see) CA doing a reskin for middenland with reskins for units with Ulric themes and maybe a new unit like knights of the White Wolf so middenland can have its own equivalent to reiksguard knights. And if the Empire ever got warhounds middenland could get war Wolves as a Reskin, because as we all know CA loves their reskins lol.
I would make the Elector Counts system similar to how it is now. But, instead of being able to name your own EC, you would get the access to the regions EC as Legendary lord. They wouldnt be playable from the start, you would still unite them from Altdorf/Pfeildorf. Since the Empire is rather stable and the player has the option to not allow EC wars on other ECs, it wouldnt happen too often that some ECs would be erased from the map. With their own unique buffs and strengths, it could make for a fun army building possibility, while retaining some effectivity.
The Landship was commissioned by marienburg, but was built and designed in Nuln. They are exclusive to Marienburg and are few despite being able to be produced due to their simple design. This is because the creation process for one causes plenty of death and destruction due to the haphazard nature and lack of general safety procedures of nuln. Not only that but the Landship itself is more tempermental than the steamtank. It has more health, but less armor and is more prone to breakdowns and catastrophic accidents than the steamtank. It moves faster, but in lore the crews do their best to constantly stay on even and straight paths while perpetually praying for luck. It is essentially a more heavily armed version of the War Wagon, except it is absolutely atrocious in melee and should should be kept away from flames and charges.
Panther, Reiksguard, White Wolves and Blazing sun. The Big Four, their Grandmasters, and glorious banners. Schwarzhelm carries the Battle Standard for Karl Franz... We need them banners. Grandmasters, Teutogen Guard, Inner Circle... Imagine Rieksguard that could dismount and fight on foot. Weapon swap melee animations (so they stop the silly punching with lances) Soo much could be done with just Empire Knights alone in game 3.
i find that to be most likely honestly. Boris just doesn't come off as a DLC focus LL. people hype him up but he's honestly pretty basic, kurt helborg honestly deserves it more
I think all the Ulric stuff would be nice for Kislev. It feels like they might get their own faction in TW:WH3 and the wintery aesthetic seems fitting.
Tbh i wouldn't base Valmir's background on Prince of Altdorf novell, cuz its kinda lore-breaking scheisse. So he's always being elector count, and not appointed one.
The Snotling Pump Wagons I recall are supposed to be joke units, yet they do really well beyond their price point. I always take a few of them playing as the Greenskins. Who knows if the Halflings will be a joke unit? CA might make them and make them effective enough to be included as viable units in various Empire army compositions.
Ah man, it would be cool to have a bunch of elector counts in the game, each perhaps with some special units that only they can recruit until you confederate them. Such as warhawk flocks for Hochland. I have imagined Marius Leitdorf as potentially appearing on the game 3 map on some mad crusade, perhaps leading a bunch of halfling units that he has conscripted to fight against the Dawi Zhar or the Ogres or something :'D He could be put almost anywhere and against anyone, which is a benefit, and then can be placed back in Averland for the combined map (but I acknowledge this is still a pipe dream) I do think that the Middenland update is most likely, and there seems more than enough material to give their roster a very distinct flavour!
i doubt they'll waste time making unique models for a garrison. i honestly doubt we'll see any halflings given they would be beyond useless for the empire.
I want a Moot vs Averland DLC. As Averland it's all about dealing with Marius Leitdorfs constant delusions and mood changes, fighting imaginary armies and stopping him from going insane enough to declare war on the Halflings. As the Moot your campaign would be about annoying Marius as much as possible whilst also making sure to maintain good relations with Karl Franz so he stops him from going on a Halfling-hunting rampage and also having a food mechanic like Grom.
After reading Sword of Justice and Sword of Vengeance, even though they are set many years after the death of Marius, it reveals Marius's madness and it's actually a pretty tragic story. I would definitely love to see Marius included in Warhammer total war.
With Imperial Patriarchs as with Arch Lector’s, I firmly believed they should be capped in terms of the number you can have. One per College of Magic, perhaps the caster lord characters like Balthasar and Elspeth (ik lorewise she isn’t the matriarch of shyish, but she would fit the role better) could have their own little Patriatch council mechanic and could benefit from being able to recruit an extra patriarch or matriarch from their own lore. Same thing with volkmar and the arch lector’s.
Tying halflings to moot would just cause them to never be used. By the time a player gets to it, he would already have a late game army with no place for chaff. CA would need to end doomstacking to make them viable.
would be nice if they go for the old medieval 2 system, as more units of one kind you have as more expensive they get, like you can recruit 3 units for normal upkeep and recruit cost, the fourth and fifth costs the double and the sixt up to eight costs the fourth and the nineth and tenth costs the sixth amount of gold, and so on. Woudl deffinetly stop that stupid doomstacking stuff. I really Hate it, ruins a propper Warhammer feeling.
I hope they add the knightly orders as another campaign mechanic to total war warhammer. It would be cool to have a chapterhouse mechanic, where you could buimd up your chapterhouse for certain rewards. Maybe you could do quests for them that kinda thing. I would also like the elector counts added to the game but maybe as npcs. Maybe as you confederate the empire you get access to them.
Personally i feel if they were to add in more elector counts other than Boris I’d want them to rework the current “empire” system of min maxing your relations with all the lords. Makes sense for franz not so much for Gelt. Also I’m not a huge fan of the intervention battles maybe take some ideas that the HE have in regards to there dilemmas. And as much as I’d love to see all the knightly orders at the end of the day they’re just that empire knights I wouldn’t want a reskin of one unit 8 or so times which is sadly what the knights of morr currently feel like.
@@christiandauz3742 that could be fine but honestly i doubt it could ever be worth the trouble, the empire just doesn't need much more knights aside from the ulric ones
All the Ulric units could be easily put in by making Middenheim and Boris "Toddy" Todbringer his own standalone faction with unique buildings that enable the recruitment of Ulric units. Obviously, if Karl or Gelt confederate Boris, or Boris confederates them, those units become more widely available.
Also, i think the worry is with introducing the metal caster it would make gelt obsolete. Unless they gave the caster lords unique abilities outside of their magic and Gelt and Elspeth could have upgraded better forms of this magic.
I would love a lord pack that is just the elector counts for the empire that way when the third game rolls out and all the chaos faction come out we can have a true end times fight between order and chaos
As that most of the units are from the north under the Cult of Ulric, now would be a good time to say i always wanted CA to delve into religion of Warhammer. A Sigmar vs Ulric (vs chaos?) with our boi Toddy would be epic.
I would love to see a lord pack between Middenhiem (Cult of Ulric) versus beastmen (Taurox the Brass bull). It would super thematic and would give the beastmen their overhaul and finish the empire roster. For the lord I would like to the priest of At-Ulric lead the faction with the FLC being the Rekis Marshall or another named beastmen. Empire is a favorite of mine and not having a separate religious culture in the empire is very much lacking.
i hope we see some better representation for sigmar as well. aside from lords and heros its pretty weak with the only real sigmar themed unit being flagellants. i think sisters of sigmar would be perfect along side ulric warriors
Seems the vast majority of these units would feel right at home in a Middenland faction. Having Todbringer as the LL of Middenland makes the most sense, but I'd like to see Emil Valgeir attached to his army, not unlike Henri le Massif and Repanse de Lyonesse. This would then add the Cult of Uric to the Imperial roster as a standard unit. Having Todbringer in the North, Gelt in the South and possibly giving Volkmar a region around Stirland gives us great campaign opportunities to focus on the various regions / enemies of the Empire. Only issue there is it puts Karl Franz is a weird place, where he'll be pushed more West, but otherwise I don't think it would change too drastically.
eh i dont like the idea of todbringer being the representation for the ulric people. having him be with a bunch of cult warriors that he isn't a part of makes little sense as well
I feel like we may have missed a certain legendary Witch Hunter for a hero character. Also, Brunner the Bounty Hunter would be a good Hero character that any human/Dwarf faction could hire
Hochland long rifles and nuln ironsiders? Also not a loreful unit but would you like to see imperial griffin knights similar to how bret gets the hypo knights?
It's a shame Voltan, Huss, and Von Drakken are not in the game. They are however playable with Mixu Lord Mod along with each Elector and they have a few specific skills that you could take advantage of through confederation or play them outright.
I was hoping Valten and possibly even Sigmar come in later. Hopefully game 3 has larger end time mechanics where the incarnates have to prove their worth and gain massive bonuses after. That's really the only way I see big players like sigmar and nagash being able to be played. Just me.
While not the most lore friendly, some tier 4 infantry would be very much appreciated, armored Halberds, higher quality swordsmen and maybe even an upgraded greatswords, while the empire gameplay is based around their high quaility infantry and gunners (a greater variety of gun infantry would also be appreciated) the fact is that going up against high quality melee infantry with empire infantry is a fools errand, they don't have to be as good as other factions such as Dwarfs of Black Orcs, but better melee infantry that isn't pathetic would be a good addition to the game
Personally I like the idea of having to play as one of the Elector Counts. Because first of all it allows a great deal of repayable of the empire as each Elector Count has different play style and maybe even different unique units that only they can recruit into their respected armies from their provinces. Second I think most player are getting tried of Karl Franz, so playing a different character would be a good change. Thirdly, it also will give non-empire players a bit more of a challenge when trying to conquer the empire in the mortal empires campaign. Plus, Emil Valgir and his Ulric wolf boyz would be a great dlc for Total War Warhammer 3.
don't really agree with the whole giving none empire players more of a challenge given that empire is always so dominant end game that they make the game boring. they need to make the empire more vulnerable like it should be
I saw most of your vids. If all the units you recommend get in the game some factions would become to strong from the start. A mechanic that has you pick through tech that has branching may allow this without breaking the game.
What about Dwarves? As far as I know the Empire has a noteable population of Dwarves shouldn't it be able to recrouit a limited number of dwarven units?
Konrad Von Carstein vs Marius Leitdorf DLC - the Mad and the Madder. I'd pay for it.
That would be glorious!

The celestial hurricanium would be enough to move that DLC in my opinion. But getting Boris as an FLC lord and Elseph Von Drakken as a DLC lord would be amazing, especially if they brought the cult of Ulric as well
We don't talk about the robot horses.
Nah the end times would be the base game 3 like how vortex is the main campaign for 2 tho maybe they'll rename mortal empires
HISSS! How dare you mention that! be gone foul Daemon, Begone!
You all probably already know this. but Boris Todbringer's last name literally means Deathbringer in german!
I did not! 😊
In German he is however called Wüterich. So... Boris the Raging?^^
@@josynaemikohler6572 Or Boris the Choleric
I rather ludwig be a legendary hero. in lore from what i know he doesn't lead armies but he does journey out on the emperors behalf and that would work perfectly for a hero along with giving karl a strong bodyguard. and for the game 3 map to work they'll already need imperial
reps given it would be the end times
Would be cool if only Marienburg could recruit the landship. so you have a NPC faction with a unice unit
Might make a few people mad if they didn't get that awesome unit :)
Can we agree to call it Lustria Lord syndrome for when to many legendary Lord's are pushed or generated in one area.
Thank you for doing these videos! They are great
Do you think we have a chance of getting Valten as a final FLC before game three? Or maybe as a game 3 addition to the empire.
I think Valten may come but only if we see some End Times themed DLC packs come in. It would be a shame to miss out on him but since we currently have little to no info on game 3 at the moment its currently in the air at the moment
I would love having the halflings in the moot. You could capture it like the feral Ork area above the tomb kings.
3:49 there are only 8 steam tanks and the empire can't make more, while these things can be made more.
steam tanks should receive a buff and then be made limited while these things would be the mass vehicles alongside war wagons.
Any video on how you'd like to see daemons implemented/hordes revamped?
Got that planned for after this series ends which is very close to completion 😊
yey
Maybe Make Emmanuelle a primarily buff lord, she is the darling of Nuln after all.
How about an Ulric focused faction? I would definitely pay a DLC for that!
I would love to see all of the elector counts.
"This action does have my consent!"
When you say elector count of Hochland and game 3, do you envision a crossgame rivalry pack or something to that effect?
And yet we already received our last empire dlc for sometime.
I bet Boris is going to get into the game as a FLL when a Beastman vs Welves DLC comes out
i find that to be most likely honestly. Boris just doesn't come off as a DLC focus LL. people hype him up but he's honestly pretty basic, kurt helborg honestly deserves it more
Wolf-kin can take great weapons something rare in the empire
I think all the Ulric stuff would be nice for Kislev. It feels like they might get their own faction in TW:WH3 and the wintery aesthetic seems fitting.
I also wanted to see the equivalent of the sisters of battle of the empire. I believe they are call daughters of sigmar
You forgot to mention Knights of the Panther.
It would be smart to put the Ulric themed units in the likely Boris content pack
Ah man, it would be cool to have a bunch of elector counts in the game, each perhaps with some special units that only they can recruit until you confederate them. Such as warhawk flocks for Hochland.
I have imagined Marius Leitdorf as potentially appearing on the game 3 map on some mad crusade, perhaps leading a bunch of halfling units that he has conscripted to fight against the Dawi Zhar or the Ogres or something :'D He could be put almost anywhere and against anyone, which is a benefit, and then can be placed back in Averland for the combined map (but I acknowledge this is still a pipe dream)
I do think that the Middenland update is most likely, and there seems more than enough material to give their roster a very distinct flavour!
The creative types at assembly could do a bit of justice and have them Halflings as garrison for Moot?
i doubt they'll waste time making unique models for a garrison. i honestly doubt we'll see any halflings given they would be beyond useless for the empire.
It could be that we could access to them fully via a restaurant building and maybe have a special building in the moot that buffs them?
I mean... In my recent campaign stirland lost the moot by turn 10. And I took it as golden boi
would be nice if they go for the old medieval 2 system, as more units of one kind you have as more expensive they get, like you can recruit 3 units for normal upkeep and recruit cost, the fourth and fifth costs the double and the sixt up to eight costs the fourth and the nineth and tenth costs the sixth amount of gold, and so on. Woudl deffinetly stop that stupid doomstacking stuff. I really Hate it, ruins a propper Warhammer feeling.
@@noooooo336 Fair point. I forgot they got moved to Solland.
@@TophuPaint yeah, it wasn't that long ago so I don't blame you tbh.
That and he often when ai controlled will get destroyed
In my current Vampire play i pretty much annihilated the Empire except Stirland... quite ironic given the lore XD
Like your Channel. Keep up the great work! A lot of interesting input.
Glad you enjoy the content 😊
Many of the units here I can see being added to that Middenland Rework...
Of course, together with FUCKING TODDY!!!!
Maybe certain Lords buff certain Knightly Orders in the Campaign
I think many of these Knights will be only available in campaign
@@christiandauz3742 that could be fine but honestly i doubt it could ever be worth the trouble, the empire just doesn't need much more knights aside from the ulric ones
There is so many interessant units and legendary lords !
I would love a lord pack that is just the elector counts for the empire that way when the third game rolls out and all the chaos faction come out we can have a true end times fight between order and chaos
i dunno I really don't see most elector counts being worth making LLs, certain ones yes but not most
Ah, thank you, being reminded that somewhere, I am a major god, it feels good...
As that most of the units are from the north under the Cult of Ulric, now would be a good time to say i always wanted CA to delve into religion of Warhammer. A Sigmar vs Ulric (vs chaos?) with our boi Toddy would be epic.
Hockland long rifles, empire light wizard Acolytes, Nuln great cannons
couldn't nuln great cannons just be an ROR? since there's no real need for 2 cannon units since all cannons do the same thing
No Valten? You have to be kidding me. He's arguably the most important remaining special characters.
I just want my halfling hot pot catapult...
It's a shame Voltan, Huss, and Von Drakken are not in the game. They are however playable with Mixu Lord Mod along with each Elector and they have a few specific skills that you could take advantage of through confederation or play them outright.
Lol started youtube and it said 53 seconds since upload! Idk why but it's always so cool to be that early
Even beat me to it! 😂
@@TheGreatBookofGrudges now this I didn't expect! Sup dude, love your content, it's pretty great especially for building my hype for TW:WH3 :D
Glad you're enjoying the videos! I'm super hyped for Warhammer 3 too I want my daemons 👿
@@TheGreatBookofGrudges I just want cool shit to kill and/or play as. Yum yum
The Viking Raiders I can’t wait for my fire dwarfs
Could we see a overview/idea speculation of the hobgoblins for Warhammer 3 in the future?
I was hoping Valten and possibly even Sigmar come in later. Hopefully game 3 has larger end time mechanics where the incarnates have to prove their worth and gain massive bonuses after. That's really the only way I see big players like sigmar and nagash being able to be played. Just me.
I love the Franz memes
How about Hochland long rifles? Similar to the skaven jezzails and vamp coast deck gunners.
Do you plan do video about End Times units and characters?
I do :)
Plus, Emil Valgir and his Ulric wolf boyz would be a great dlc for Total War Warhammer 3.
don't really agree with the whole giving none empire players more of a challenge given that empire is always so dominant end game that they make the game boring. they need to make the empire more vulnerable like it should be
Landship looks so sick
I just want Valten to be a named hero who can be in an army with Franz and can also wield Sigmar's hammer
Valten showing up would make a good Chaos Invasion event for when the player is the actual Chaos Invasion.
What's your opinion on Valten? I love to see he's twin blacksmithhammer model in game.
Honestly, several of the presented units and characters could easily be a Cult of Ulric subfaction.
Marius Leitdorf is 100% coming in an Empire vs Greenskins Lord Pack. The Count and the Warboss. Marius Leitdorf vs Gorbad Ironclaw.
Summon the ELECTOR Countesses. Von Drak for Empress. She needs a Henry Percy and a good Barons revolt..[but shes end up with a percy percy-have mercy]
I NEED THAT LAND BATTLESHIP
I saw most of your vids. If all the units you recommend get in the game some factions would become to strong from the start. A mechanic that has you pick through tech that has branching may allow this without breaking the game.
What about Dwarves? As far as I know the Empire has a noteable population of Dwarves shouldn't it be able to recrouit a limited number of dwarven units?
