Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoyed. Leave any future video ideas you would like to see in the comments below and don't forget to subscribe!
Hi Friends! I hope you enjoyed this video! I've never focused on how to style a particular piece multiple ways so I figured why not start with some table settings! What would you like to see me style next?
For someone that's "never" done a tablescape, you killed it!!! 👏🏽👏🏽
Coffee table I never know what to put on mine
Anything. Lol U style it and ill watch it lol xo
A staircase!
Windowsill or reading corner🤩
Drew, how about styling the fireplace mantel for the Holidays in a few different ways? I have a fireplace and not sure where to start to give it that Holiday feel. Thank you!!!
Yes, I agree! My TV is mounted above the fireplace, so I always struggle with decor ideas.
Try XO, Macennas latest Decorate With Me Video, she does it beautifully. :)
Yes!!
This would be amazing!!
Drew, don't hold back! Film it all! You are so creative and talented, and we as your loyal viewers will watch whatever you do! One thing I learned from years of creating my own table scapes is that you should always sit in the seats and make sure your guests can still see each other's faces. If florals and candles impair views, think about using them in the dining room on a sideboard, or bench instead, or always have a place to relocate the taller pieces before everyone sits down together. And, if you are serving delicious food, use non scented candles on the table. Save the scents for bathrooms, or an area away from the table. The food should always be the winning scent. Love these looks!
I was thinking that with those candles on the holiday table. The person across will look like they are in jail through those candles ;) It IS beautiful though!
@@kathybell4878 🤣
YES! More styling videos. They are great and give us ideas to those of us who are not creative. 😁
Beautiful settings. Thanks Drew!
Thank you so much Patricia!
Agreed!
This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
Love them all! Would love to see you decorate several bed styles! Love decorating my bed...pillows, throws...yummy!! \o/
I think I am going to film that next!!!
Yes pleaseeeee
@Lone Fox yesss!
This content is on a different LEVEL altogether. Stunning! And you’ve never done this before. What a natural you are! More of these, please. So freaking creative. Uff. Bravo! 🙌🏽
You are the classiest younger man I have seen on UA-cam. You are an old soul.
For a next video, I would love to see your thought process behind designing a tablescape! Most of us only have one set of plates/cutlery/etc, so we need to work with that and find out how to make it look it’s best. How would you design around that? Maybe show your decision making process, trials and errors, how to determine if something „fits“ or not… That would be so encouraging and fun! 😍
They're all amazing, truly. The only sad thing is that I don't have 4 tables I need to decorate to do every one of these LOL My favorite was the Christmas one, it was so classy but still impactful!
I agree. I just loved the simplicity.
I love all styles, so creative and beautiful. I live your entire apartment, it's so cozy and warm. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Just left a homestead channel with the English family. Had to hop over here and give love and show gratitude for your heart. 😍 It was refreshing to hear “good news” in a world submerged in darkness. It’s people like you who light up our world. Thank you 😊 btw love table 3 and yasss table 4 love it 🥰 best to you. Continue the great work. 🤗
Every year when I hosted holiday dinners I always found a new napkin fold. For New Years I would put personal small buckets with ice and a small split of champagne at each setting. I loved hosting holiday dinners!
Drew, I absolutely adore your content. Lost my passion for interior design just dealing with life and a few days ago in an attempt to regain that I started watching your videos again. The growth is inspiring. So glad you decided to do what you do in this lifetime. ❤️🔥
Looks beautiful!😍 Your channel is a great inspiration in fact. Whenever I feel like giving up the whole UA-cam/DIY thing, I come to your channel and watch a few videos and get motivated again🥳
Really loved seeing how to style all these different table settings! Thrifting your tableware is another great way to get dishes and such cheaply. Honestly the thrift store is a tabelware/dishware paradise because there's always soooooo much of it.
You are amazing at table settings! Those and bookshelves are my favorites to style and see how others style 😍 Great job!
All the table settings are beautiful. The copper chargers gjve me a 1970's vibe, lots of fun. Tfs.🧡
Yes it made me think I will try and buy some gold ones for the Christmas Table.
I love that you go all the way into sharing your craft with us. The effort of copying and pasting links, the edits, everything. Thanks Drew!
For having never done a tablescape before you blew it out of the water!! You make everything look so easy!! Loved them all!!
Dear Lone Fox, Thank you very much for your beautiful table settings videos on UA-cam. It is nice to see you have European style table settings in the holidays. Greetings from Helsinki, Finland, Europe!
Every time I watch your videos all I can think is "he's so talented!!"
Also, I would love to see how you would style a simple shelf surface...like a console table or the top of a dresser. Specifically, who to make it look aesthetic but is also functional (aka has some form of storage for knick knacks that are used often like glasses, keys, etc.). Thank you!
I have been hosting Thanksgiving for 30 years!! I’m always looking for different ideas!!! Thank you so much!!! ❤️ Time to hit Target!!! My youngest son works there!!! Lol
Very creative!! Have been watching your channel for awhile now, and I'm impressed....with your creative talent and your creative eye!!! I'm all in on your new house! Can't t wait to see the final reveal.
Dear Drew,
All four of your table settings are very pretty. They are all my favorites. Please continue making beautiful and creative table scapes. I grew up making holiday table scapes. A little tip regarding the knife: the knife blade is always faces the plate. in an informal setting when all of utensils are placed on the napkin: The napkin is placed to the left of the setting with the fork, knife (blade facing the fork) and spoon placed in that order on top of the napkin. Chris McKinney wrote in a post about the placement of the knife stating, "Manners and ettiquette were established in a time of subtle nuance. Very small things could have much greater meaning & that cuts both ways, lol, more on that in a minute. So, blade faces plate, blade faces the food which is it's intended target. Blade faces away from plate . . . It is “aimed” at your dinner neighbor. It is a subtle thing to indicate the knife present is not a weapon, which evolved at a time royals and nobles were knocking each other off at alarming rates. So, same reason as the rounded “point” on the table knife. "
I always do tablescapes!!! They are so festive. As someone who has hosted MANY holiday dinners the only suggestion I would make is even though the scented candle probably smells amazing ....don't use it. You want your guests to get the full smell of all the great smelling food you've made. I think you are so creative and all the tablescapes were beautiful. Have a really great holiday....your family is gonna love it.❤
As always. Your presentations are beautiful!!!
I love them all!! So talented! I just have a little tip. The part of the knife that cuts should always be pointing inwards to the plate. It's just a way to have the guests being "safe".
Noticed that, too. Did not know why, though
That was driving me crazy 😂
It is such a treat to visit anyone who makes such an effort to create a welcoming and attractive table setting...Thanks Drew for the great ideas.
I enjoyed the whole video but I have to say the copper charger and blue plate was a ‘wow’ moment for me. Thanks Drew!
Everything about this video was so visually pleasing 🤩 loving the new wall color.
Thanks so much Kassie!
Wow! I can’t choose a favorite. I really liked all of them and all the variety of the table settings and all the napkin choices!
You dod such an amazing job. Natural, electric, comfortable and feels like nothing is going to break. Nailed it
Drew is such a loving and kind person! Such a delight to listen to! And love his ideas!
Always such a treat to the eyes. You’re such a creative soul. Sending love and inspiration your way (:
They're all a little different, but also all similar in being awesome. 👌
Love the video! Every time you made a new table scape I thought that's my favorite. Then you'd do the next one and I'd think nope, that's my favorite. I finally realized they are all gorgeous and I'd love to recreate them all sometime! You are so talented!
I really liked all of the table settings. The first 3 in particular said 'abundance' to me. And you hadn't even served yet! The name tag idea was lovely. Yes, do more styling videos, especially because you would do them in different ways. That would be so helpful. Thank you
I absolutely love this! You are so inspiring Drew and send out such feel good vibes. Love love all of them, but especially your second Thanksgiving table and the Winter one.
I do a lot of elegant entertaining, and with very rare exceptions, I *hate* things on plates that you have to move. Where do you put a eucalyptus spray while you're eating? Are you supposed to just chuck it next to your plate? That is just going to look messy and cluttered while you're eating. I love something like a small favor that is part of your table setting, but put it where you'd put the place card. Better yet, use something that can stand in for a place card, like a personalized ornament or cookie, or use a small pumpkin as a place card holder.
Another thing that bugs me are layered plates. They can be done really well, but they aren't 99% of the time. If you're going to go the layered plate route, you need to plan your courses accordingly. (And yes, they *only* work for meals with distinct courses.) By all means, put a salad plate on top of a dinner plate, but serve the salad first, and take the salad plates away before serving your entrée. Do not stack a bread plate on top of a dinner plate because you typically want to eat your bread along with your main course. I don't mind non-traditional table settings, but if you go non-traditional they need to be extremely intuitive and practically arranged. Your guests shouldn't have to guess which plate to eat what off of, and you shouldn't have to verbally tell them.
I feel like the golden rule of tables setting are that your table needs to be integrated into what you're serving, it needs to be intuitive, and it needs to feel effortless throughout the course of the meal. Just setting up a pretty table is fine if it's just for show. (Like, if you have a formal dining room/area you don't really use.) If you're actually going to eat at the table, don't make your guests rearrange things, or try to figure out where to put something. That's a huge no-no. When in doubt whether something works, ask yourself if you could see it working in your favorite restaurant.
Huge kudos for using really neutral things that you can use throughout the year. Not nearly enough people integrate their holiday decor into their general home decor. Work with what you've already got going on. Christmas doesn't have to be red and green. It can be powder blue with silver accents, and a few splashes of red. It can be white on white with lots of evergreen. Work with your decor, especially if you're on a budget. Nice looking everyday plates are always going to look nicer than cheap Christmas plates.
They were all beautiful and I'm so not an orange person, the last was my favorite!!! Your guests will be dined in beauty that is for sure!!!
I love the warmth in the Christmas one! 😍 I would love to se multiple ways of styling the bed, sofa, coffee table and frames above/around the TV 🤩
These settings are absolutely stunning!!! So inspiring, thank you Drew 😍😍😍
Beautiful! So inviting. If the table looks this good, the food must be scrumtious!
Why is each one so perfect?! I need em all!💕
So proud of your resilience and compassion ❤ you have put yourself out to help others succeed. 😊 Glad you are you! Perfect!
Loved this and the table settings are so beautiful. You did a fantastic job.
Hi Drew, The table setting looks lovely - however, you had placed the desert spoon outside the knife - which would indicate you would have dessert ahead of the main - but then, I have heard it argued "Life is uncertain - have dessert first!" ; )
Drew, I love this. Tables capes can get very busy and are usually set up on large tables. I love that you did these ideas on a smaller table. I have a smaller space and am feeling so inspired after watching this. Love your style and videos. Keep them coming.
I love it when I wake up in the morning and see you have uploaded a video. I get my coffee, cozy up under a blanket and watch the video. Love😊
Drew, I loved each of the tablescapes. I particularly like your humble relaxed attitude toward styling, your talent shines through. I also appreciate the thinking behind the elements you used, and how you were going to use or reuse something-like the napkins. I would love to see more examples of styling the same something😀
You’re so talented 🤩 All of the tablescapes are absolutely beautiful 🤩 If I had to choose one, I loved tablescape #2! Earthy with some pop of color.
Aww thank you! I loved that one as well
We certainly got spoiled with not just 3 Thanksgiving table scapes, but a bonus Christmas one on top of that! Thank you!
All those table settings were gorgeous! I would love to see you style dressers, bookshelves, and a small eating table!
Drew takes every season to another level 😗
When having a decor heavy tablescape do you have the guests make their plates buffet style or do you make up plates and bring them to each guest? I've only had dinners where the food is on the table family style, but this is beautiful!
I feel like it would be more buffet style and all the food is in the kitchen! Make a plate and find your seat :) That's how my family has always done it!
@@lonefox I agree unless a really posh dinner that is the best way to do it.
Your eye for design is unmatched
Is it only me but who loves the dell of candles just blown out!
Thanks Drew these were lovely table settings. Xxx
*”Congrats to everyone who is early and who found this comment!”😎*
What constitutes early?. Lol.
Why, thank you. Such a great accomplishment. Get a life.
Lol I’m late but liked your comment lol. Drews mom
Cheers to those who actually watch and appreciate the heart & soul this content requires. Drew is a gem. :)
My favorite is the 2nd one. That little bit of muted green really appeals to me. But all of these are lovely. You are so artistic!
These are all so beautiful. I just want to landscape my table now, just to have a pretty table
The last one with the simple greenery and candles was my favorite. That might be my holiday setup this year. 😍
Oh my goodness! I just LOVED that middle table scape! I took many screenshots so I can try to recreate it! It is so moody and colorful and natural and just gorgeous! Thank you, thank you for the inspiration!
Drew, each one of these table settings is exquisitely done and you made it seem so simple to do. My goodness young man you are talented at everything
I love the last two settings!! Tks for making such beauuuuuutiful dining setups for holiday!!!
Yes yes yes… open shelving in the kitchen, round coffee tables, mantles💕
Beautiful. I think you should do more of these because your so good at it. ( New Year’s, Valentine’s, birthdays, Easter, 4th of July, special occasions, weddings….)
I LOVE the 2nd table setting and Christmas setting! I enjoy how you shop and decorate from places that are “everyday stores” ( Target, Home Goods, etc). I can’t wait to set my table for the holidays 🥰🥰
Styling videos all the way!! Beds. Couches. Shelves. This one was so great! I have so many ideas. 🎃
my favorite is the setting with the orange berry pick on each plate. But they all were beautiful!
Wow, you can certainly style a table, the Christmas one was my favourite. Would love to see beds styled different ways xxx
Yes! I'd be interested in more videos like this one. Thanks for linking what you used. It was helpful seeing the colors and textures you paired together. I appreciate how everything was budget friendly and full of artistry yet easy to replicate.
A lot of people on UA-cam showcase a similar style the difference is, you do it best 👌
I love to set a beautiful table. I mix styles that you wouldn’t think would go together but do.
That 2nd table setting 😍😍😍
That terra Cotta, rust color has become my favorite color this season and it fits your esthetic so well!!
Hard to pick a favorite there Drew! I used to enjoy doing tablescapes! Thank you for taking us all along and taking me back.
YES! Would love to see how you style a bed in multiple ways, or maybe a porch/doorstep.
Really enjoyed this video. Mostly when you see people styling tables for the holidays they go way over the top and it makes you feel it isn't something you can do yourself. You kept it simple but with great effect and I feel like this is doable for me too.
Gorgeous!!! I cannot choose a favorite but I do love that long candle holder in the holiday table. And yes do more of these videos! Love to see bookcases, windows/window boxes, beds, and tables styled. You’re very talented
All of them were gorgeous!! I love how detailed yet simple they were.’
A fun idea might be to take a piece like the dining table, mantle, bed, etc. and show how you style through a full year! How do you transition out of Christmas into winter, to Valentine’s Day to spring to Easter (??) to late spring to summer, July 4th, etc. I really struggle with the “in between” styling and get bored quickly enough that I don’t want to just put stuff back after each holiday if that makes sense?
Would also LOVE some themed dinner party ideas that are affordable, not cheesy and do not take bunch of one-time use items!
The eclectic harvest tablescape was my favorite! They were all creative and beautiful Drew.
I love how natural in colors and texture everything is♡ so warming and cosy.
I liked all of them! Good luck with your dinner. Just FYI, relax and enjoy it too. sometimes you get so caught up with the hosting you forget that your "family" wants to be with you : )
PLEASE DO A PART 2 OF THIS VIDEO
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I loved watching this so much omg. And DEFINITELY YES to more styling videos!! The bed and bookshelf ones sounds really good!
Wow Drew wonderful DIY demo of creating festive tablescapes by pulling the decor items everyone might have in their home- such great way to see with "fresh eyes" the unique things we collect and kind of forget about. For the 'christmas' table - the long center candle holder is great idea but in practice it might actually act like a wall and be difficult to converse and see each other. I bet using just half number of candles and maybe pinecones (?) randomly placed on empty candle holders might work? YES please give more of these DIY decorate for holidays videos! And BTW really nice flow of overhead and tight panning shots. Thank you
The Christmas scape has a definite Scandinavian vibe!
WOW Drew, for never doing a tablescape before, you did an amazing job creating them!
Yes. Loved the different ways to style
Mr. Lone Fox..just found you .. YOURE JUST AWESOME ..finally found my style guru.. God Bless you !!!!
Yes, I would like to see you style more. I take your ideas and apply it to what I have around the home. Elegant art deco is my style
Yes! I'd love to see more Lone Fox styling! Love your style and all the tablescapes. Especially the Christmas one. Love the little wreath around the candle on the plate. So classy!
All your table settings are beautiful. I love the earth tones. I have them all through my house, all year long. 🌿
This was such an awesome inspo! Would love love love to see more ‘multiple stylings’ type videos from you (kinda like a home styling master class. It’s awesome). I struggle a lot coming up with NEW ways to style my window sills, so that kind of video would be sooooo good! 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Thank you for not skipping Thanksgiving! Also a creative video, everything was amazing.
I love doing tablescapes! My favorite was the eclectic.
Definitely would also love to see more videos like this. Credenza, coffee table, bed styling for sure would all be great. Additionally glass kitchen cabinet or open kitchen shelves. Night stand styling. Desk. Any surface honestly.
Yes more styling videos..Drew you never disappoint with your cozy vibes and aesthetic... beautiful tablescapes for holidays...
My favorite was the blueish/greenish one ! So pretty, not formal and stuffy.
YASSSSSSS DREWWW! Please keep on doing tablescape decor as our current covid situations now always keeps us at home... so why not to have some tablescape decor for a household gatherings just to get the party/hotels vibe.... 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for saving Elysia’s UA-cam channel, you kind soul. ❤️🙏🏾
Yes yes yes! I love seeing more than one way to do something. That way I can get the general idea and use the bits that appeal to me most 🎄
I really appreciated the ideas for different tablescapes. I will use the knotted napkin tomorrow at a little luncheon for my daughter's birthday, thanks!
Who are the haters clicking the thumbs down button? Everything Drew does is magic. Period.
