Kameo has one of the most authentic-feeling elf-fairy hub worlds ever made. The longer you stay in it, the moe you feel like a fairy-elf, no humans around at all as I recall 😃

I was really convinced by that side-by-side of Sunset Overdrive and Spiderman. Seriously, they look a lot more similar than I would have thought and I've played both.
I’d like to formally request a list of the titles mentioned in descriptions so I can come back and reference them when I actually have money to buy games haha
The Neverhood absolutely belongs on this list. Yes it's a puzzle game, but it's claymation and it's something we've never seen and probably never will see ever again. Made by the same guy who made Earthworm Jim and the TV Show Cat Scratch!
Love neverhood. My grandpa got it for me when he hated i played video games and he found it as something that i could learn. He and me played it for hours and i will never forget it now that hes gone.
There are a good amount of claymation games out there if you go poking around! Hylics is popular among fans of RPGmaker games (even though I don't believe it was made in RPGmaker), and there are also games like NiGHT SIGNAL (personal favorite, it's just delightfully weird) and Isolomus (which is more of an experience than a game). I'd suggest checking them out if you haven't. (Also have to admit I was confused for just a split second, as this list made me think of Everhood - completely different game, but man, the titles are way too close, lmao.)
Yes and no regarding Hi-Fi Rush. Yes it is unique when it comes to the overall feel and no because there are other games that have rhythm based combat as part of the gameplay like Crypt of the Necrodancer which is basically a dungeon crawler mixed with a rhythm game. While Hi-Fi Rush is an action game mixed with a rhythm game, both games are unique in their own right but I also know that many people will compare Hi-Fi Rush to Jet Set Radio, which is also a unique game as far as gameplay goes.
I was so hyped for sunset when I first played the demo at comic con and was baffled by how unpopular it was. Tbh may warrant a replay. Also I know it's probably been talked about before but jazz punk. What a weird fun experience
Killer 7 was brilliant for it's time, like if Quentin Tarantino had a baby with Hideo Kojima and this baby made a videogame. I wish Capcom would remake it with modern mechanics but keep the incredible story/characters/setting, etc.
for me it was Lifeline on the ps2. the fact that most of your interactions is by voice, was really cool. One puzzle got me though. took forever to pass.
This list needs a part two. I personally think Alan Wake 2 deserts a spot. It's very unique and weird and one of remedy best games. It so different as everything you ever played before. It's more like a experience as a game. And something that you only understand if you played it by yourself or at least seen a playthrough.
I love, love and i mean LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Sunset Overdrive. The game is so stupidly fun to play and move around and just hanging around the city and grinding and running. I love that game. I replay it like once at year because is just so damn fun
I just want to say the rail grinding in Sunset overdrive is the rail grinding that they perfected from the ratchet and clank series. Also in ratchet deadlocked, there are several bosses that you fight while using grind rails and the guns just like in sunset overdrive. 13:54
Honestly this video is one of the most enjoyable ideas you guys have had for a list that I've ever seen. We the humans of the interwebz love weird crap and it's pretty heartwarming to see you react with such genuine feeling toward all these truly strange games. Please make more videos like this!
Outpost Infinity Seige is actually not that unique because its an expansion of the RTS/FPS mashup that was popularised by the Natural Selection games. It's funny that Falcon says it feels like a mod because NS1 was an insanely popular Half-Life mod which allowed the team to release NS2 as a commucial title.
I played Bushido Blade 2 on the PS1 and man... only my friend and I were aware of this gem among all the kids in the school, I felt like no one in the world knew this game, thanks for bringing this gem out. I'm going to give it a try to Hellish Quart
I wish more channels gave a spotlight to just how underrated Sunset Overdirve really is. apart from the meta commentary and some times low hanging fruit grabs the jokes come off as, it's a superb experience and a unique play style that utilizes momentum and strategy to play. it's a game I play at least once a year, and cause it has a replay mission menu- I get to keep all my awesome earned story swag
Psychonauts should be on this list. Game were levels are the inside of a persons inner psyche, emotional baggage, and memories that make up who they are.
I knew it wouldn't get a mention (it's obscure, I guess), but I do wish Everhood got some love. Strange story, strange characters, surreal atmosphere, and it's an RPG rhythm bullet hell where the enemies are choreographed to music. It's one of my favorite games of all time.
Sunset was sooooo good. After I started playing it I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Runs well, great shooter and platformer, funny story. Too bad it didn't find success due to exclusive. It's one of the few games I did 100% on and it's not even a chore
The great thing is that it’s also on pc which I’m sure makes it more accessible to more people also makes it portable to play anywhere if you have a device like a steam deck 😉😁
Sunset Overdrive needs to be studied, there's no way that this game is not a total classic. Probably the most fun game on market on pair with Spider-Man series. Insomniac Goats delivered
Sunset Overdrive is the reason I got an Xbox One. It is the only console I didn't buy at launch and their past games sold it for me, so basically PS exclusives sold me an Xbox One. It helped that the Sunset Overdrive one was the first white Xbox One.
I love Hellish Quart. You have to think of it in terms of real sword fighting and not something like Soulcalibur. IRL a proper cut from a sword takes you out of a fight (not to mention losing a hand or your head), no repeated bashing and slashing until a health bar runs out. Watching what your opponent does and striking at the right time and the right place. I have finished some fights with only one slash or thrust. There is some wonky physics here and there, but it is still early access. If you like real sword fighting it is something worth checking out.
Ill Bleed's senses are a hint on how you Reveal / Avoid the traps. When you are near a possible trap, you use a device to select the location you think the trap is at and more or less make it not a problem and get points. Once you get used to how Ill Bleed works, it ends up being a bit fun and SUPER CRAZY ... especially if you let all the main protag's friends die.
I gotta say, glad to see Hellish Quart on the list. It's a truly special little game. Unique puts it mildly. I've had a decent amount of fun with such a relatively small game. High recommend.
The gameplay of Sunset Overdrive was a blast. Tony hawk/spiderman/ infamous/ratchet and clank. Best of all worlds. Quirky, responsive, and pure fun. The missions werent always compelling and the humor was a miss sometimes but damn was it gaming
I think Disintegration would've been a great addition to this game list. It was a first-person shooter with elements from the real-time strategy genre.
Clash was one of the best games ive ever played, loved the story and weirdness of it, well worth playing if your looking for something unconventional and unique.
Two of the games that aren’t like anything I’ve played are sos the final escape and raw danger on the ps2 they are about surviving natural disasters like earthquakes and floods, you can choose different dialogue options in conversations, find and equip your character with loads of different clothing found throughout the city, find and equip various compasses and even get to ride vehicles like a jet ski, swan boat and taxi cab. Raw danger is still one of my favourite games of all time whereas in the first game you only controlled one character through the story with a choice of ai partner the sequel gave you five different characters to play as in their own individual chapters - the taxi driver chapter actually lets you drive his taxi around the city as well as explore on foot
"Came from an unlikely partnership between Insomniac Studios - the guys behind Ratchet & Clank, Spiderman..." And the partnership was never explained because the sentence was never completed after the parenthesis. 10/10.
A game I believe that should have made it on this list is Tecmo's Deception from the PS1 era in the late 90's. You have a mansion house which during the day you set up deadly traps to trap and destroy monsters that invade the house at night. Game is very unique and I have never found a game that plays quite like it.
Oh,damn - Bushido Blade! That was one of the first, if not THE first - video games I ever played on console. That and Parappa the Rapper were in heavy rotation on my PS1..
I want to give a shout out to Jazzpunk. One of the strangest games I've ever played but it was super fun. Basically a point and click adventure game, but so, so weird.
Jesus... Hearing Illbleed brought up brings back nostalgia. I recall reading about that as an upcoming game when I was like 13. Unfortunately my Dreamcast broke before I got to try it ... But it sticks with me
Don't know if it belongs here but this video reminded me of a game I played back in the ps1 era that I've played nothing like ever since. Tecmo's Deception: Invitation to Darkness
Oh what I would give to get an I Ninja remake! That game is such a hidden gem, I’ve yet to play anything like it. I spent so many hours playing it on my GameCube when I was a kid.
Return of the Obra Dinn is a pretty interesting example. Perhaps not the most unique in terms of gameplay, which is basically a walking sim where you get to document and set the record straight on a horrific incident that happened long before the player shows up. But it's the fact that you're not out to solve some mystery in the hopes of saving lives or setting tortured souls to rest, you're just a man (or a woman) trying to sort out the details regarding a tragedy while being almost as clueless as the poor unfortunate souls that weren't lucky enough to escape the ship the night things went to hell.
Killer7 was my first M rated game. I didn't think the gameplay part was bad. I think its uniqueness added to the overall uncomfortable feeling that the story and art gave you.
Man paradise killer should've been on this list, now that one heck of a unique experience from start to finish, I think about it often- the soundtrack is also a banger
Strongly recommend Sunset Overdrive. Played it at launch and picked it up when it launched on steam. Still one of the best games of the last decade and it goes on sale for super cheap quite often. Criminal that we never got a sequel.

Clash was one of the best games ive ever played, loved the story and weirdness of it, well worth playing if your looking for something unconventional and unique.
Toribash would also fit on the list.
Being a Round based Fighting game where you control indiividual joints is quite Unique and Weird.
As soon ĥas i red the title, even before clicking the video, I knew this would would be done by falcon
"Came from an unlikely partnership between Insomniac Studios - the guys behind Ratchet & Clank, Spiderman..."
And the partnership was never explained because the sentence was never completed after the parenthesis. 10/10.
A game I believe that should have made it on this list is Tecmo's Deception from the PS1 era in the late 90's. You have a mansion house which during the day you set up deadly traps to trap and destroy monsters that invade the house at night. Game is very unique and I have never found a game that plays quite like it.
That bird wasn't kidding about being burned by DW 9. That clip made me chuckle.
Oh,damn - Bushido Blade! That was one of the first, if not THE first - video games I ever played on console. That and Parappa the Rapper were in heavy rotation on my PS1..
Sunset overdrive is....a proper chefs kiss
Neon White would be a title I'd nominate for this list. FPS shooter/deck builder with a speedrun as its main goal is in my opinion rather unique.
I want to give a shout out to Jazzpunk. One of the strangest games I've ever played but it was super fun. Basically a point and click adventure game, but so, so weird.
Hi gameranx I love you
Hey
Sunset Overdrive and Hi-fi Rush (not on the list, but kind of the same vibe) are and will always be gems 💎
Damn you're really gonna make me buy Hellish Court if you keep bringing up Bushido Blade, that game was my JAM when I was a kid.
The last one is trippy as hell, I love it.
Where is SUPERHOT ! ?
"10 Games That Aren't Like ANYTHING YOU'VE EVER PLAYED" has two games where you skate around and shoot things
Two games that play completely differently, but they both have skates and guns. Good critique smooth brain.
I have s ritual to watch any list of theirs before i sit down to play a game. Kinda like foreplay always gets mevin the mood to play. Love it.
Freaking Love SUNSET OVERDRIVE!!! Awesome Game!! Very Underrated title.
The two games I want Sequels of
1-Days Gone
2-Sunset Overdrive.
Jesus... Hearing Illbleed brought up brings back nostalgia. I recall reading about that as an upcoming game when I was like 13. Unfortunately my Dreamcast broke before I got to try it ... But it sticks with me
I will always sing the praises of Sunset Overdrive. So much fun!
Don't know if it belongs here but this video reminded me of a game I played back in the ps1 era that I've played nothing like ever since. Tecmo's Deception: Invitation to Darkness
I found Sunset Overdrive randomly on Steam... So much fun! I strongly recommend it if ya like that kind of thing :D
Oh what I would give to get an I Ninja remake! That game is such a hidden gem, I’ve yet to play anything like it. I spent so many hours playing it on my GameCube when I was a kid.
Definitely needed Electroplankton on this list. It's the only game I kept for my DS back in the day.
I was hoping to see Absolver somewhere on here! Such a unique fighting game!
That review on Killer 7 was precise, I would say.
Number 9, the "first person tower defense" was already done by a game called Sanctum, it also had a sequel too.
Sunset Overdrive was so underrated. And to think, Microsoft didn't buy Insomniac because their publishing team didn't market Overdrive.
Black & white
Frostpunk
Teardown
Crackdown
Trackmania
Also good list, number 9 and number 1 are now on ny wishlist
SUNSET OVERDRIVE WAS SO UNDERRATED!!! This was literally the action/ shooter version of jetset radio 😩
Killer7 was my first M rated game. I didn't think the gameplay part was bad. I think its uniqueness added to the overall uncomfortable feeling that the story and art gave you.
I'm really missing Hand of Fate on this list. The card game storytelling with real time beat em up battles are so unique
All my years playing Face Lift in Mario Party have adequately prepared me for Who’s Leela
Regarding Hellish Quart, there's another game with oneshot mechanics called Sclash and one coming up in may called Die by the Blade
Man paradise killer should've been on this list, now that one heck of a unique experience from start to finish, I think about it often- the soundtrack is also a banger
